Offbeat Coffee has been on my list and we finally made it in. We lucked out and found parking in front as someone was leaving. The line was long but moved quickly. We ordered the Twice Matcha and BSL. Twice Matcha (Matcha latte + matcha creamtop) (iced only, all creamtops made with dairy, recommended to sip without a straw!) BSL (Espresso house-made banana bread syrup, banana chip garnish, cinnamon, whole milk, hot/iced) The matcha was smooth and matcha foam delish! The BSL was tasty but not very strong banana flavor and coffee wasn't very strong either.
Arrived and the line was out the door. We almost turned around but decided to still give it as try as my girlfriend had heard about this place, and wanted to see what it was about. The line moved pretty quickly from outside to a smaller line indoors. Inside, was a very spacious modern vibed coffee shop, that appeared to really focus on their Matcha & Hojicha (Green tea) style drinks. Match really isn't my thing but my girlfriend loves it, but because it was the late morning. We both opted for coffee specific drinks and ordered Latte's, hers hot and mine iced. When ordering, I specially asked for a Vanilla option as flavors weren't noted on the large menu by the counter, and I didn't want that to be forgotten. My girlfriend however wasn't asked for a flavor option, and she forgot to mention Vanilla as well so her was made as a standard Latte. She noted while there wasn't extra flavor, she could tell they used good coffee beans by the flavor profile of her Latte. Mine looked like a basic Vanilla Latte, and didn't look or taste like anything special unfortunately. Wasn't it bad? No. Was it good? I'd say it was just ok. NOTE: They do NOT accept cash. As we completed our order I went to pull out cash from my wallet, and the cashier asked if I had another form of payment because they don't accept cash. I find is odd that an establishment for any reason doesn't take legal tender, Overall: The line was out the door, and the drinks were ordered wasn't anything out of the ordinary; at least my iced Latte wasn't. And add in the fact they don't accept cash, I wouldn't go out of my way to try this coffee spot out again unfortunately.
Delicious matcha! You can taste the matcha and it wasn't so strong where you're having palpitations. It was perfectly sweetened too. There was a line when we arrived around 11am on a Sunday, but the line went fairly fast. Large space for catching up with friends or studying/working. It's a couple of blocks from the farmers market too, so you can always grab a drink then walk to the farmers market. Highly recommend.
Hands down one of the best matcha I've had. Both times that I've gone I've ordered the twice matcha and it leaves me wanting more every time. It is the perfect balance of sweetness and nuttiness. And the cold foam on top is delicious. As far as the coffee goes, it is pretty solid. I don't think it stood out to me, but it wasn't bad. I will be coming back every time I visit the Sac area!
Came to Offbeat Coffee to catch up with a friend and we definitely picked a good spot! We went on a Wednesday afternoon and it was pretty busy, lots of people studying and working which made it feel like such a great place to focus. The ambiance is super nice and calming, and the café itself is actually really spacious, which feels kind of rare for coffee spots like this. My friend and I both ordered the twice matcha and dang... it was SO good. It wasn't overly sweet and the matcha flavor was strong, exactly how I like it. You can tell they really perfected this drink and I loved every sip. I will say the drink sizes are a bit smaller than what I'm used to for the price, but honestly it still felt worth it. Overall, I'd definitely come back and I'm excited to try more of their drinks next time!
The first time I went here, I loved the matcha. I personally like a little more agave in my matchas, but that's more of a preference than a critique to Offbeat. However, there's a specific cashier that I've ordered with multiple times who's always a little annoyed or mean to me? It's super odd considering everyone else there seems happy. The last time I went, I ordered my drink with a non dairy milk and when I went to drink it, I could tell immediately it was dairy. I went up to ask if I could verify the drink was made with the milk I ordered, and the staff member just looked at the ipad order history and said 'you ordered it with oat' which obviously does not mean that it was made with oat. He didn't offer to remake it or check with the person who made the drink, so I literally ended up throwing it away because I didn't enjoy the taste.
I'm a matcha girly period. So, of course, my best friend knows this and is always down. She recommended we grab matcha at Offbeat since I was visiting her, and I'm glad we did! The lines here can be long! Lots of other matcha girlys are waiting for their fix. So don't be shook when you see how long it is cause it moves somewhat fast. Once inside, the vibes give off a modern yet minimal aesthetic. It's an open space, perfect for gathering with friends. However, we did see some people working there too! The service was kind, and the drinks came out quite fast. My best friend and I both got the BSL. I got mine iced and with oat milk. The matcha was great--earthy, vibrant, and delicious. The banana was present yet not overpowering, and the cinnamon added a nice touch. Definitely an aesthetic and tasty drink! For Sac standards, we agreed this is a great option. But being from the Bay, I was comparing it and felt like it was simply good, nothing crazy. For those in Sac and lovers of matcha, Offbeat Coffee is worth a visit. I want to come back if I'm back in Sac! They have free parking in the shared lot out front and are located off Broadway.
came on a weekday so there's less/no wait vs the weekend, which the like can go out the door! got a double matcha (matcha latte with matcha foam), it was perfect!! didn't add any extra sugar since the cream top is sweet so that mixed in well with the latte. you can taste the matcha and richness of the cream. definitely getting that again! also got the cold brew + hojicha top and my husband really liked it! the foam was very tasty and added the perfect sweetness to the brew. parking is limited but there's street parking. there's seating and tables inside. would return & recommend.
The matcha here is smooth, rich, and not overly sweet (unless you request for syrup). The twice matcha was pretty good but I only have 4/5 stars because the rest was just okay. This cafe does get busy so I recommend coming early if you want to beat the line but other than that, the lines moves pretty fast eventually. Parking could be a hassle because the parking lot is small but there is lots of street parking right next to the building.
Parking could be hell if you come on a busy day. Staffs were great, very friendly. Lots of the indoor space as it's a warehouse turned coffee shop, vintage concept. They ran out of banana creme; BSL expresso: 3/5 very heavy on expresso and not enough banana, very bland BSL matcha: 3.5/5 more banana than matcha. Very bland
Been coming here countless Saturdays since they opened. At first I would come for the pastry cat pop up on Saturdays, but then discovered they have some of the best twice matcha and twice Hojicha in town. Then once they started coming coming out with specials like the banana pudding matcha, BSL, black sesame Hojicha...it really got me coming back almost every week. This is where I like to bring friends with kids or babies because they have a lot of space for strollers and such. Only downside is that they do not have a changing table in the bathroom.
Offbeat coffee was so chill and really tasty. - I got an oatmilk Cap and this was my first visit of 2026 to a cafe! It was refreshing at it was the start of January but also because how simple and thoughtful this place is put together. Even the retail bags are very well thought out. Nothing is crammed in your face. Love the insect vibe here and cuts cuteness. Looking forward to another visit!
Offbeat Coffee is such a vibe! The shop is super aesthetic, minimal, clean, and the kind of place that makes you want to stay for hours. It's the perfect spot to get work done or just relax with a good drink. I tried their matcha and an iced vanilla latte. I'm usually not a big matcha person, but theirs totally surprised me, it was so good! Smooth, balanced, and not overly grassy. The iced vanilla latte was just as good, creamy and not too sweet but nothing that wows you. Simply a good iced vanilla late If I'm ever back in Sacramento, I'll definitely be coming back here. Highly recommend if you're into chill coffee shop vibes with great drinks! read more

My favorite matcha spot in Sacramento. The spacious interior is great for studying or hanging out. I enjoyed the sweet matcha foam on the Twice Matcha. My favorite drink was the matcha latte with oat milk. Stopped by on the weekend and the line was to the door, but drinks are made so quick that after I paid, my drink was already ready. Granted, I spent some time talking to the co-owner who happened to be cashiering at the time. Vivian is super friendly and made our experience at Offbeat 100x better. Fun fact, Twice Matcha and Hojicha were actually named after the kpop group Twice. So funny because as my friend and I were waiting in line, we were joking that we were going to order the drink based on its name. read more
I walked in here, expecting to order my usual coffee fix. The shop was busy and everyone had a matcha in their hand. When in Sacramento, do like the Sacramentoans (?).... I ordered the twice matcha and it's one of the best matchas I've ever had. Full flavor, smooth, and the matcha cream top was perfectly sweetened. It was magical. This place is going to be a must hit for me every time I'm up in Sacramento. I also want to try the twice hochija. The pastry is fresh baked in the morning. There is a big parking lot but all the spaces were taken because this shop is busy. Street parking available and I had to brush up on my parallel parking skills. Casual. Good service. Lots of seating in an open space with high ceilings. Please come and create your own experience. read more
Another adorable coffee spot in Sacramento! This one is located off broadway in a strip mall! I came for the first time around 9 am and there was already a line! I've been seeing so many videos of people saying this is the best matcha in town! I had to give it a try for myself! I got the double matcha and dang it was delicious! It was sweet, creamy and tasted perfect! Definitely one of the best places to get matcha in Sacramento! The inside is cute it's giving an industrial feel and it's really big! They have places to sit and work or chat! The menu also has a variety of other drinks besides matcha and also a daily special! I can't wait to come back and try more drinks! My advice- come early if you don't want a line! Def try this matcha! read more
Like probably many of us, we've seen this all over Instagram or TikTok, and yes that is what led me to check out this spot. I went on a Wednesday and it was not busy at all. The parking lot is pretty tight, but I was lucky to find a parking spot. So I hope, whoever is reading this, you find a spot when you go! The inside is pretty spacious. A very open space but with only limited amount of seating. It's like it was anticipated for them to have such long lines so there's a good amount of entrance space. The way this coffee and tea shop looks like reminds of the setting from the book "Before The Coffee Gets Cold." It's a pretty aesthetic coffee shop with its bare walls and very minimal decorations using plants and random things like Lego, Labubus. Their menu is simple and straightforward. I ordered their Twice Matcha and Yelp Elite Dario O. ordered the Mint Matcha. Both iced. The Twice Matcha is what a majority of people are raving about on social media, but a Matcha has always been my go-to drink at coffee/ tea shops, so of course I ordered that. To me, it's not a "hype," their Twice Matcha is 100% worth getting. It tasted authentic. It was earthy. It was creamy. It was what I hoped their matcha to taste like. The Mint Matcha was also a yummy drink! It was a perfect balance of the two flavors, and not one flavor felt like it was too much or too little. I enjoyed being able to taste the minty/ refreshing taste mixed with the down to earthiness from the matcha. Service was pretty quick, I mean we didn't have to wait 30-40-60 minutes like most people, and honestly, I would have waited that long anyway lol I know they do have specials, I believe on weekends, so def check them out! I have been wanting to try this place since it got so popular! I went on a Friday afternoon, and there wasn't a line, however, it gets pretty busy on the weekends with the line going out the door. The parking lot is small, but there is a lot of street parking nearby. There are also lots of tables and free wifi, so it's a good place to do work. I got a Twice Matcha (matcha latte with a matcha foam) with oat milk. I also added agave since the it comes unsweetened. I first tried the matcha latte with a straw to see how the matcha by itself tasted like. Even with the sweetener, it was not sweet and it tasted pretty watered down in my opinion. After tasting the matcha on its own, I mixed in the matcha foam and tried it again. I was surprised by how good it tasted after mixing in the foam since the latte by itself tasted pretty bland. The matcha foam is pretty sweet, so I don't think the agave was necessary. It also had a lot more matcha than I expected so it brought more matcha flavor to the drink. I went a second time on the weekend and got the same drink but without agave. It tasted pretty milky to me even after mixing in the cream, so I think their drinks aren't really consistent. Overall, I think this is probably one of the better options to go for matcha in the Sacramento area. I would definitely go again, and hopefully they get more consistent with their drinks. read more

Best matcha drink I've had so far! I ordered the Twice Matcha drink with whole milk. The matcha is unsweetened but the matcha cream top is sweetened. It was the perfect amount of sweetness since I don't like my teas overly sweet. read more

Their double matcha is solid! Definitely one of the best ones I've had in the area. I recommend the twice matcha and if you're lactose get the oat milk. The oat milk isn't overpowering at all! I just wish the sizes were bigger read more

Yummy drinks, line goes by fast, but you might have to wait a bit. Beautiful aesthetic. The hype is real for this place. My partner got their coffee and I got their matcha. I felt like the matcha could've been more matcha-y but regardless good. The coffee was delicious. We would definitely go back. read more

Definitely come early if you don't want to wait in line. My boyfriend and I went at around 10:30am and there was a line out the door though we didn't mind. I love the modern interior and how spacious it was inside. There's lots of seating though on weekends it gets busy. Service was good! We both ordered the Twice Matcha (with oat milk). I also purchased a cute sticker. We were lucky enough to get a table after ordering! The matcha is a beautiful shade of green. This place is so memorable and on my list of the Top 5 best matchas places in the Bay Area (& I've been to quite a lot of them). We can't wait to come back! read more

I want to be as honest as possible here. But this could just be a seasonal issue! We came here mid afternoon on a Saturday. Rightfully so, the line was out the door. We got a matcha & iced oat latte which was a little watered down from my many coffee shop experiences. It's a plus that they have plenty of seatings for hanging out but I would not recommend coming here to study/ read without headphones. It can get quite loud with the echoes of the space. Nice natural lighting though! My biggest complaint would be the fact that everyone in the coffee shop was clearly uncomfortably hot! It was about 102 degrees f out. Due to the large amount of space it might've been hard to keep the place cool. Although they kept the thermostat at 85! Someone complained and it was not addressed at all. Even when they mentioned they kept the thermostat at 85, it was just brushed off as "they did not know what was going on either..." During summer time it may be crucial for them to keep the place a little cooler could be a potential heatstroke. I would love this spot during winter though if it's a similar concept! I prefer to bundle up and be cold than sweat with barely anything on.. read more
I was so excited to try Offbeat Coffee since it has been trending for their matcha! Unfortunately the hype is still very real and there was a long line out the door. We waited ~30 minutes or so. There is a decently large (free) parking lot but every spot was filled today. Service was great and the employees were very sweet! Large seating area with outlets which is great but I'll say the seats are pretty uncomfortable. We got the twice matcha with whole milk & the pistachio matcha with oat milk. My friend and I both thought the twice matcha was the better drink--bolder matcha flavor although I still think it could've been more bitter/stronger umami. The pistachio was good, had that nutty flavor, but we felt like it was too milky and matcha flavor wasn't as strong. I think Offbeat Coffee is well worth the price and deserves all the business they're getting, but I would not come on the weekends or at least until the hype dies down because of the long wait time! Would definitely want to try their Saigon cinnamon or twice hojicha next-- 4.5/5 stars! read more

I am not trying to add to the craze and virality that was perpetuated by social media but this place deserves the clout in my opinion. Their matcha is hand whisk, the perfect green color, and the taste is good quality. The guy that took my order before 8am was so pleasant and sweet. I came early on a Sunday morning to beat the line and that was a successful trip. Last week I tried their weekend special raspberry chantel cream matcha and that was good too. I hope they bring the banana back soon. Expect to stand in line for at least 20-30 minutes. Will definitely come back, and I hope they pump out with more flavors and the matcha stays the same quality and consistency. read more

I think I'm addicted to this place. I've been coming every week since I discovered this place. I feel it's the best matcha in town. I have been ordering the twice matcha or the cold brew with hōjicha. Inside there is plenty of seating, decor is a bit bare at the moment. It seems to be a popular spot to work, they have outlets for the seating against the wall. Pros: The matcha is very crisp and clear. I love the foam top, that's the cherry on top for the twice matcha. Its foam top gives it just the right amount of sweetness. The cold brew with hōjicha foam top is my second favorite. The foam top compliments the strong coffee. Staff are really friendly and take the time answer all of your questions. Cons: the parking here is awful when it's busy. Sometimes it's easier to park across the street and walk over. I have found that it is busy almost the whole time they're open. read more
Tik Tok wasn't kidding! The matcha really is to die for and probably the best matcha I've tried in Sac. I got the Twice Matcha with whole milk and that first sip I took with the matcha cream top was incredible. I'm a BIG coffee person (over tea) but that matcha truly blew me away. The drinks are pricy but honestly on par with literally anywhere else you'll go these days. But for Offbeat, the drinks are worth the $ for the quality you're getting. The matcha tasted top-notch. Given their popularity, the shop was very very busy with a line nearly out the door I went on a Saturday morning around 10am so that was to be expected. But the line did move fairly quickly and my drink was ready in under 5 minutes after I ordered. Staff were super friendly and seems like they have their operation down pat. Offbeat coffee has got my vote for best matcha in sac! Upon entering you're faced with a nice open space that provides for a great study/work spot! The menu is short and sweet and makes it easy to decide your choice of drink. I tried the twice matcha and was pleasantly surprised with the matcha flavor and thought the soft cream matcha top was delicious! Definitely recommend and will be back to try their hojicha! read more

I visited Offbeat Coffee twice now, once in the winter and summer. Both times I came on Saturday morning and it's still as popular! The first time I came I got the hōjicha latte and my boyfriend got the sàigon cinnamon latte iced. We weren't really impressed by the drinks. The hōjicha latte was earthy and roasted, but it wasn't anything special. This is when I realized I really just prefer a matcha latte. The sàigon cinnamon latte was more on the watery side and mainly just tasted like watered down coffee with cinnamon. I'm usually skeptical with ordered matcha at cafes because I'm scared of being disappointed of it being too light and milky. In the winter, the matcha wasn't blown up yet, so I didn't give it a chance. Over the next couple of months I saw it all over social media and I actually had friends who went to try it. Finally decided to give it a go! This past weekend I got the twice matcha and it was perfection. The matcha cream top is a great touch. It's creamy and fluffy! I also love how it's the perfect shade of green. My boyfriend who is eh with matcha even liked the cream top. The matcha itself was the perfect balance of sweetness and earthiness. I'd come back for it! If you come on Saturday you get the chance to try the pastry cat that is an amazing pastry pop up! They know how to get the textures and flavors all right! read more
10/31/2025 came here w friend. found on Yelp. Interior is very spacious, but could use some more chairs n tables. Lots of people came here to chat and do work. I got the twice matcha ($7.5), which was a matcha latte with matcha foam. The matcha foam was nice and sweet, but the matcha itself did not contain sugar. So if you're like my friend who ordered just the matcha latte, you prob have to request syrup. The matcha was delicious and vibrant. You can tell of its quality. If I lived around the area, I would come here often just for its matcha. Everything about this place is STUNNING! From their decor to their drinks. They have lot parking and nearby street parking available. The lot gets pretty packed during peak hours. Their menu definitely has matcha-lovers in mind. They use Rocky's Matcha, which is known to be of great quality and flavor. There is plenty of space inside for working and bigger tables for groups. They have a bright atmosphere and hip vibes. The staff is super helpful and can answer any questions you have about their drinks. Super tasty matcha!! The cold foam on the twice matcha is amazing almost like condensed milk and matcha (flavor wise) I wish you could adjust the syrups a whatnot but overall super good. I grabbed a little snap dude sticker for $2.50, and the banana matcha is great as well. Parking is pretty limited unless it's a tues/wednesday (way less busy) otherwise when they're busy the line is out the door but still worth it!! The little butter loaf was so good. read more
Great and friendly staff! Huge place, moderate amount of seating. Doesn't look too comfy to study in (hard chairs), but I did spot one outlet. Tried the Hojicha latte with the cream top - was very well made with quality ingredients. My friends Saigon cinnamon latte was delicious as well with strong hints of cinnamon - I do wish I tasted more of the espresso though! My friend ordered two espresso shots to add to another drink, and they were quality, so I would definitely love to try more things in the menu! read more

Wonderful experience! The drink is delicious, everything is made to order with great attention to detail The cashier was very kind, and recommended to drink the twice series drinks by sipping versus using a straw which I appreciate that she took her time to let me know despite the line, I am glad she was kind and caring and didn't make me feel rushed. The barista was very kind and knowledgeable about the entire menu including the brand new summer menu, so I really appreciate that I can't wait to be back! read more
Been here twice this week and got the same exact thing both times - the TWICE MATCHAAAA. I almost never order matcha at coffee shops because I always prefer coffee, but with Offbeat, I simply had to. A number of friends have told me about their matcha and so of course I had to see for myself! Went on a Sunday afternoon this past week about an hour before closing. The line was LONG so be prepared for that. If you don't want to wait for a long time I would suggest going around off hours. The second time I went was on a Thursday at around 9:45 AM - no line. For someone who is not really an avid matcha drinker, I wasn't sure what my expectations were. I just hoped for a drink that wasn't too sweet to the point where I cannot even taste the matcha anymore. I was thoroughly surprised with the twice matcha. It was the right amount of sweet and the taste of the matcha was not overpowered by the sugar or milk. It was delightful and I enjoyed it a lot. My only concern with this place is that for that little tiny drink, I was set back $7.5. Now, I get that EVERYTHING is expensive now but I personally still think that the price point is too steep especially since they fill the cup with big blocks of ice. I would go again, but probably not anytime soon as I don't think anyone should be spending $7.5 regularly on a drink in this god forsaken economy. As for the ambiance, it was a nice and open space with warm but industrial vibes. Reminds me of Japandi aesthetic. There was a single bathroom inside close to the cash register counter and it was clean. Parking is limited in the plaza, but there's plenty of street parking available. Overall I would give this place a 7/10. read more
Matcha banana pudding is seasonal so I'm glad I got to try it. Banana pudding on its own is perfect but mixed with the matcha you lose that banana flavor, but still a great drink. Hojicha latte is perfect no complaints there. Service was amazing and the long line went quickly. read more

Came on a Saturday afternoon and there was quite a line. We waited about 45 mins and we got the twice matcha and the Saigon cinnamon. We got our drinks with whole milk instead of oat because they use the cafe califia oat instead of the regular barista califia oat. The matcha was very yummy! The cream top paired nicely with the matcha. I don't know if I would wait 45 mins again to get it, I would probably just come on an off day. The Saigon cinnamon was also very yummy, it wasn't overly sweet. Would definitely come back but wouldn't wait in the line again! I love the little snail logo. read more
Yummy matcha! My daughter's go-to is their twice matcha. With the cold weather, I opted for the matcha latte with oat milk and agave. Really delicious and authentic matcha, not a premix from a box like others. The place is very cute and spacious! Just wish they have more seating! The customer service is great. We went on a Saturday at 7:30am and there was no lines! Usually we come around 10-12 and the line is out the door but today we woke up early and decided to finally give this place a try. Drinks: We got the strawberry banana matcha which in theory sounds good but was actually bitter tasting with chunks of banana and strawberries. It was not sweet and left a weird taste in my mouth. I do not recommend getting that but the twice matcha was delicious! I'd definitely come again for the twice matcha, the drink had strong matcha flavor, great milk to matcha ratio, and perfectly sweet (not too sweet) which I liked. The only thing was the drink itself was pretty small for $8 but I think for the quality it was worth. Snacks: Since we came early we got a butter pastry that was super delicious. I forgot what it was called but I know it was pretty pricey for a small pastry but I was definitely yummy. I think for two drinks and a pastry it came out to over $20 which is lowkey crazy but it's definitely a treat yourself type of place. Overall I'd come again for the twice matcha and pastry but only once in a while bc of the price. Definitely really cool place that is worth a try. read more
Came out on a Saturday morning for some pastries from the pastry cat pop up. I arrived around 8:45 and there was already quite the line formed outside. I ordered the twice matcha, it was creamy and satisfying, not overly sweet. No bitterness or astringency and well balanced flavors. This drink would have broad appeal and most people would enjoy it. I would definitely come back and try out the rest of the menu, but maybe at a less busy time to avoid the long wait. read more

This place is super cute and aesthetic. Very much millennial vibes!! Lol. I ordered the hojicha latte which was pretty good, the nutty-ness was there! I wish it was a little stronger in the coffee taste, but otherwise I enjoyed it. I also ordered an iced matcha, I thought it was okay! I'd love to come back and try other drinks on the menu. The space is very cute and perfect place to study. read more
My new favorite cafe! Small parking lot but there's plenty of safe street parking nearby. I came on a Sunday at 11am and the line was out the door but moved fairly quickly. We waited about 30 minutes in line, and after ordering our drinks came out fast for such a big order. All the staff were super sweet and you can tell they put a lot of effort into each drink and care about what they're giving you. I got the twice matcha and it's my new fav matcha! Each matcha is hand-whisked. The latte itself isn't sweetened but was rich, creamy, and super smooth. The matcha cream top was delicious and added the perfect sweetness. I also tried the saigon cinnamon latte; I don't care too much for coffee typically but I really enjoyed it. It was a strong coffee with a subtle cinnamony sweet flavor. Offbeat Coffee recently opened, and I was excited to check it out after hearing great reviews about their matcha and seeing photos. I love dark matcha and they use Rocky's matcha here! I ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk, which normally comes with 3 grams of matcha, but I upgraded to 5 grams (+$1). It was perfect and hit the spot! My absolute favorite is the twice Matcha. The cream top makes it perfectly creamy and sweet without making the entire drink overwhelmingly sweet like so many other places struggle with. I appreciate that you can really taste the earthy-ness of the matcha. I do recommend drinking it from the cup rather than through a straw for the best experience. On this particular visit, I came at 7 AM when they had first opened and there were already a handful of people there. I know that it is typically very busy any other time of the day so I was glad to get in without any wait time. I also highly recommend the brown butter financier, it is one of my favorite pastries. I'd say it's kind of like a shortbread/cornbread, not too sweet a little salty. Love the staff here, the are friendly, quick and efficient! Would love to see them open a 2nd location. read more

Twice hojicha was pretty good and the foam top was delicious. Once the foam is gone, the hojicha isn't as prominent. Had a sip of my husband's twice matcha and that was good as well. Best to drink it before it gets watered down. There were about a dozen people in line when we arrived on a Sunday around noon. The line went pretty slow...from the time we stood in line and got our drinks it took about 30 minutes. read more
