I was warned that I should arrive at 8:30am when it opens because of the intense, passionate customers that tend to come in droves beginning at 9 -- just 30 minutes after the dawn of Dawn and Dusk. I didn't believe the hype, so I thought I could just stroll in at 8:38am, on a warm 78-degree Saturday morning. Well. To no one's surprise but my own, I arrived to a donut truck with a line that spanned across the parking lot. Disappointed in my alarm clock, I walked to the back of the line. I was shocked, however, at how quickly the line was vaporized with speedy donut delivery and the smiles of 4 dessert angels behind the donut doors. Soon it was my turn, and it Dawned on me that I had no clue what to order. Oh Dusk. I quickly skimmed the menu, stopping at the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough creation. I've never seen anything like it before. A chocolate chip cookie dough donut? I must have it. I placed my order with the cashier, I think her name was Addi. I said, "One chocolate chip cookie dough, please." "That's it?" Nervous, I nodded. I had just brushed my teeth 15 minutes prior (silly me) and hadn't seen the dentist in some time. Still, I knew it was bad practice to consume so much sugar this early in the morning. Addi shot a look to Melon in the back and they exchanged words, muffled by the sounds of the Donut Hero father-son duo Moe And Noel. I paid for my single donut, and minutes later I was delivered 3 beautiful, mouth-watering, delectable, Instagram-worthy creations. Unbelievable. Melon exclaimed, "You have to try these other ones! Strawberries and cream is the best, but this one is my favorite." Pointing to what seemed to be some maple cinnamon treat. I couldn't even make out the words that came out of her mouth as she described the donuts. I was stunned. Not only was I gifted with 3 donuts for the price of one, but my entire morning had now shifted. Knowing this was no ordinary donut experience, I exclaimed my thanks and ran back to my car -- rushing to get home. I couldn't eat this like a normal donut, no. I had to get back to my house, sit in my favorite recliner, turn on Netflix to watch my favorite show -- Bojack Horseman -- and I grabbed my carton of apple juice (sorry mom, I'll stop drinking from the carton one day). I bit into each donut, one by one, and it's amazing that I'm still alive to write this review. The donuts sucked. Just kidding. But, really, I can't even begin to describe the exquisite taste that was delivered to me on this fine Saturday morning. No, I couldn't do it justice -- you'll just have to go and try them for yourself. I'm not really one for lots of words anyways. Thank you, Melon, Addi, Moe and Noel. You have changed my life forever. UPDATE: It's been about 5 hours since I consumed these donuts. For all my lactose intolerant friends....just get a glazed donut. Don't make the mistakes I made.

It was one of my favorite memories, and since having moved too far away I miss it dearly. My mom's ordered online, and now as a 20-something I'm about to find myself doing the same because they care. The tea leaves are top notch, a flavor so reminiscent of my memory, and packaged in an airtight bag for repeated use over time. They store EXTREMELY well, barely tarnishing if at all, and are anything but stingy. They last me long. I remember their food, desserts, and general atmosphere I can never replace or replicate. I bought a bracelet that time I went, and it's been a constant admiration of mine to this day. I'd describe this place and people as magical. While my choices were limited, no other tea I've got over these years have stood to it; I highly recommend going in person, or even buying online. Best wishes to the family here. I hope the nature of this country does not create too hard of times.

The soup that we got was cold and one in our party took one spoonful and then pushed it aside. The rest of us found it to be just okay. None of us were impressed with the desserts. The cookies were dry and plain. However, the scones are really fantastic! Warm and fluffy and not too sweet. The sandwiches were also great, especially the classic cucumber. We all enjoyed our teas as well, with half of the party buying some for home from the gift shop. I would suggest getting the "Cream Tea" which is $15 and includes tea and scones. If you want to splurge, get the "Princess Tea" so you get the sandwiches, but that is $30, so be aware of the increase in price. When you make reservations, you MUST be very clear with them. You have to know their special terminology, and you cannot make any changes once you've made that reservation. The staff, though they smile sweetly, are not flexible whatsoever. We had an issue with reserving a Queen Tea, when we really wanted a Princess one. We didn't know the terminology, and ended up being charged for a Queen, despite talking with the staff about wanting the different one. The dining room has a nice ambiance and is decorated wonderfully, but isn't friendly towards those with disabilities or have trouble with stairs. If you or anyone in your party has issues with stairs, send someone who can travel them easily and just buy the loose tea in the gift shop.

The salad bar had a good variety of items and dressings, though the veggies, while ok, were not the freshest. My partner got the fried whitefish special. I suspect it was catfish in a seasoned breading. It was very good. Overall, the visit was satisfying, and I could see myself returning in the future for good, not outstanding home cooking.
