Different Cheesesteak #1231. I had three guest eaters. Get a good look at them because you will never see them again. I heard Off The Rail had renovated and upgraded the food/menu. I don't know what it looked like before, but I like it now. There are several areas where you can enjoy your drinks/meal. We sat out on the roof. We got a cheesesteak with fried onions. We paid the $2 and upgraded to french fries as our side. That was a very good decision. The meat, cheese, and fried onions were very good. They deserve a better roll. read more

This was not me or my friends first time here. The food is always pretty good, and this day it was good. I got the patty melt while my friend got the Hot Wings. The patty melt is an upgraded version of a classic grilled cheese, and it pulls it off well. 9/10. My friend liked the wings, but they were not hot spice-wise. I have no spice tolerance, and I tried them, and they were not spicy. 6/10. The service was good. What this place really excels at is the ambiance. It really feels like a bar. The plates that food is served on, the main dining area, and even the deck are so nice and excellently capture a bar. We placed a DoorDash order, and came on time. The Philly egg rolls were delicious with the Chipotle sauce. I got the Chicken Parm sandwich. Paid extra for fries, but didn't receive them. The chicken was overcooked and inedible, and very small. The bread was good though, so I just ate that. Overall, I wouldn't go there again. read more

I went to Off The Rail with a group of people from work. The area we were in was a little tight, but that's par for most bars. They did open another area which had tables and allowed for some airflow. The food that I sampled was delicious. I had a cheesesteak and buffalo chicken egg roll, fries, mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, and fried shrimp (my favorite of the night). Their signature drink was perfect to taste, a little pricey. Just be mindful it will sneak up on you if you aren't careful. Unless that's the kind of night you want to have. If you are in Media stop in, take a walk up the stairs, grab a seat (indoor or outdoor), try their signature drink. Whether it's your first stop or last you'll enjoy your self. read more

This place is absolutely amazing!!! I highly recommend visiting here service is awesome we weren't here for 15 minutes before getting our food to our table cooked to perfection. And I LOVE the atmosphere the projection screen is great for watching the game, while we were there they also had a great band playing. It is a bar that sells food. I would not come here for the food. I chose it because I thought the bacon grilled cheese would be good. It was ok. The ambiance is very much sports bar. Too many TVs. I would have appreciated if the waitress had told me the ice cream desert was basically a frozen solid good humor cup when I ordered it. Not worth $1 never mind $3. I'm surprised it didn't come with the wooden spoon. They obviously make money off drinks, not food. read more

Stopped in here last Sunday afternoon with my friend who lives in Media, so she's close by. It's on the second floor. The music was loud and not the edited version, so it felt like a Saturday night at a bar. I was ok with that. We sat outside on the deck, near the bar so it was covered and had plastic walls up. I started coming to this bar about a year ago because I moved to Broomall, and it was one of the local bars with a younger crowd and an outdoor area. It is definitely a nice local option for someone who likes to go out on the weekends. I also think they have done an excellent job at investing in security and lowering the time needed to order a drink. read more

Very poor security service - my friends and I are all 24+ but bouncers always cause us problems and won't let us in. Refuses our IDs - we ask for a manager and he says to leave. Again we all show up to this place - well over 24 years old and receive nothing but problems from untrained security. How else are we supposed to prove our identities other then our State Issued Identification and Drivers License? Never heard of a place not even TAKING YOUR ID. It is easy to miss this one. Nothing but the stairs entrance street level. But really opens up when you get upstairs including roof top deck/courtyard. It's a very casual place for beers and bar food. Pretty much exactly what we were looking for. read more

I just enjoyed the dinner ordered online and had delivered. It was delivered quickly and food was still a perfect temperature. I was super pleased that they don't pack in plastic but in sturdy paper. And the chx wings, fries and patty melt were delicious. Im glad to find a place that makes good American food without trying to "fancy" it up esp when the basic is soo good. read more

The bouncer at the door denied my friend (who's almost 24 years old) without allowing him to verify his age and identity with a second form of ID. We watched him google what the state's ID looked like and denied him on the basis that he felt like it was "blurry". He was incredibly rude and told him to "get the f*** out. This is fake.". We then watched him let younger girls in without even scanning their IDs. The final straw occurred while I was waiting in line for the women's room. The bouncer accused my friend and I of "talking sh**!" And proceeded to yell at us and threaten to call the manager while we were explaining to him that there were 6 girls in the bathroom and we were waiting to enter. Horrible experience. Very lively and fun crowd. Very generous bartenders and a lot of space. Dance door was electric and the DJ was amazing. The bathroom situation is a little poor considering the amount of people that go to off the rail and the amount of space that there is. But that is my only complaint about this place. read more

Went there this past weekend and the bouncer was very rude to me for no reason and actually kicked me out. I was walking out of the bathroom when he approached me and said to leave. He refused to tell me why and just kept insisting I leave. Overall very disappointed with the way I was treated and will not be returning. Highly recommend anywhere else but this place read more

This newly rehabbed upstairs bar in Media has much the same layout as its predecessor, Jocelyn's, only cleaner and with better bathrooms. The new deck is certainly safer. And they now have a kitchen. Unfortunately, that's the good news. The biggest negative is that they no longer allow smoking on that new outside deck. They say that's because they now serve food although the the menu is lackluster, at best. Not, imo, an even trade to give up the rare smoke-friendly watering hole it once was. Jocelyns was a low dive with continuous entertainment, a place where locals and tourists alike could relax, drink, watch tv and enjoy the simple pleasure of a cigarette. The new owners seem to want to make a silk purse of what was a perfectly functional sows ear. Facelift notwithstanding, it's still not substantially better than any of the many other bar/restaurants in the area, especially in light of the halfhearted menu. The previous business model was unique and valuable, a breath of fresh air in a unfortunately politically correct market. Not wishing the new operators ill, I suspect the kitchen will go the way of the several other attempts at serving food at this location. One wonders if the owners will reconsider their decision about smoking if the kitchen doesn't pan out. Whew! Glad I got that off my chest. BTW, the bar staff was fairly surly on the several times I've been there and the traffic was very thin. Good luck, but I'm finding a more comfortable dive. read more

This bar/ restaurant is amazing! Where do I begin... first and foremost the atmosphere here is amazing. The bar has new owners and has been newly renovated and you can tell they put their hearts and souls into this place! The outside area is beautiful, lots of seating, nice CLEAN bar. The waiters, waitresses, and bartenders are AMAZING! Constantly checking in on you, make amazing drinks, and are very helpful to those with food allergies/ preferences. Oh and the food is great! Small menu, but it is worth it. This is definitely a place I'd bring my friends and family for a fun night out. read more
