It's always a good choice to combine with a Village Salad. They name it Horiatiki Salad. Full Horiatiki is a very generous size and easy to be shared between two people. Avgolemono soup is also always a great choice. It's a typical eatery setup, simple and homey.

Their fried zucchini was pretty bad frozen and just not something I can be happy to say that I ordered as I make this all the time at home and yeah this one just didn't measure up! Overall this is a very dated restaurant with a local following which I can see is what's keeping them going put it this way nothing I had here would make me wanna come back but who knows maybe their Greek food is where it's at!

I hate to leave bad reviews, but I think want to be honest. I came to The Spot recently for lunch…read moreand was not happy with my experience. Located in midtown, this appears to a fast casual place that caters towards college students. They serve "Greek" street food, salads, quesadillas, burgers, and more. The food is relatively inexpensive. Service is fine, actually the people working there are friendly. Food is made to order and comes out quickly. There is some seating available inside (it's limited) but there are plenty of tables in the hall. I ordered the Street Chicken Souvlaki which included grilled chicken with tomato, onion, fries inside a pita, topped with ketchup and mustard. This was a very large portion. The pita was good, but pretty much fell apart the second I picked it up. While I liked the chicken, it was over seasoned and I didn't care for the "sauced" quality of it. I'm not sure if they marinated it or tossed it in some sauce, but it was too much. The fries were decent, but not super crispy. I felt that they were not necessarily and a little over-the-top. The tomato was fresh and but the red onion slices were very thick. The mustard and ketchup didn't work with the seasonings on the chicken. The dish was just all over the place and I couldn't even finish half of it before I started feeling sick. I ordered a side of onion rings as well. This was a large order and the size was great. But these onion rings were over-battered and were fresh, but not crispy at all. I bit into one and ended up pulling out the whole onion rings. Not good. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience. The food was so heavy and overly salted I couldn't even eat half of it. I ended up giving it to a homeless person on the way out. The food left my stomach in shambles the rest of the day. Service is fine. But the food is not desirable. It is safe to say I will not be returning, which is unfortunate.

Sounds pricey but my wife and I spit it and still had some leftovers. Also, this might seem a bit off topic but this place has some of the best fries. Great seasoning. My platter came with a generous portion of gyro meat, and the side salad was nicely prepared. If you haven't tried this place and you like a good gyro, drop by, you won't be disappointed.

I'm here helping my daughter move into her apt and I just couldn't stomach anymore fast food which dominates the area. Checked yelp, saw this spot mentioned and said yep that's the one. Holy heck I'm so glad I ventured over because this sh*t is the bomb. Firstly the woman at the counter (kicking myself for not getting her name) was so warm, friendly, and welcoming and easy to talk to. I walked past a few people in front of me to grab a take out menu and she greeted me with a huge smile and handed me a dine-in menu saying it's bigger and they have so much good stuff to look at. She wasn't kidding - I was overwhelmed. Dining solo so I knew I couldn't get all the apps I wanted to try, and it's always a tad nerve wracking being alone in a new place. When it was my turn to order she made me feel comfortable and provided some advice on what to order. I settled on the Schawarma combination platter and chose tabouli and hummus as my 2 sides. It only took maybe 15 minutes (if that) and when my order was up she showed me my dinner and holy hell it ruined my drive back to the apt. I have never seen hummus that looked so good. The meat, the tabouli--wow. The ten min trip back was hell on wheels when all I could think about was the meal awaiting me in the black takeout bag sitting beside me. Finally got back and the first taste of the hummus with the oil and garlic and I don't even know what other magic was sprinkled on there was so good, I had to stop myself from gorging on just the pita and hummus and try the schawarma. The meats were tender, juicy and full of flavor. The tabouli was the perfect complement, fresh and refreshing. It's a very generous portion and I was only able to finish about half the platter. I am coming back before I head back home - this place will occupy space in my brain every time I'm craving Mediterranean food. If you're looking for something different, do yourself a favor and skip the Cane's and McDonald's and give Sarah's a try.

Today for the first time i was coming from the coast headed straight west towards Thomasville. I am glad i looked up when i hit that intersection today. I saw the sign on the sidewalk and in the window that said "Falafel" and Mediterranean. Those are keys words for me to go check this place out, if i have the time. Today i did. Corner location in a downtown setting is unique enough. Parked in a parallel parking spot easy enough and walked right in. There's a long sit up diner-style bar, which i love. Theres also tables and maybe booths as well. Nothing fancy and has a diner type feel throughout the whole place. They have beer and wine i saw and i am not sure about alcohol. I was still driving thru so i didn't pay attention. The menu however is very Middle Eastern, Lebanese, Mediterranean, Greek etc. Food was over the top fresh. They took their time preparing my dish as there were only a few people there because of the odd time of like 3-4pm and it still took a little but to get my food. A good sign in my book. I loved everything and I ate everything. The Vegetarian Plate had falafel, grape leaves, feta salad, grilled pitas, olives, rice, and I substituted tabbouleh. If i lived in Valdosta I would come here once a week. Prices are a little high but everything is these days and they do give you alot. I had enough food to split it but i ate all of it. I will consider going out of my way next time thru. Huge DollaBill Recommendation for this place.
