I walk over to the counter and see 2 cockroaches crawling across the counter. I was pretty close to the counter and I DO NOT do bugs. I jump back in fear and fall backwards because of their wet and sticky floors. I hit my head on the ground and I hear a little crunch. I get up and look at the floor and see a smashed cockroach twitching. At this point I was in pain and sick of this. I went to walk out and the worker stops me and says "Ma'am I am very sorry about your experience today. To make up for it I would like to offer you a pizza on the house." I could obviously tell she just didn't want me to sue them. I figured I could give the pizza to a homeless man, so I said "Why not" with a sigh. I waited 4 minutes for the pizza. No wonder. It was raw to the point where the cheese wasn't even melted. I take the pizza and leave. I see a homeless man in the way home and give him the pizza. He says thank you, takes a look at the pizza, and his reaction made me laugh. He had the most disgusted look on his face but he took it.

Since then, every visit has been a great experience with consistently good food and friendly service. Michael, the owner, has always been accommodating and a pleasure to talk to. Today he went above and beyond our expectations. I will not get into all the details, but let's just say I normally only take the time to write reviews when they are bad. This is definitely not one of those reviews. We also had the pleasure of being taken care of by Penny. She was very friendly, and by the time we left, it felt like we had made a new friend. As for the food, I can only say good things. Everything I have tried has been very good. One thing to keep in mind about me, I do not order steaks at restaurants. My wife has completely ruined restaurant steaks for me because she always cooks them better than anywhere else. Michael suggested I try the steak anyway, and I hesitated. I am very glad I listened. Like I said, I never order steak out, but at Our Place I absolutely will again. I ordered it medium rare and it was perfect, tender, juicy, and melt in your mouth good. I honestly do not know how they got that cut to come out that good, but I was impressed. They also have plenty of other great dishes as well. My wife and I will definitely be lifelong returning customers, and we are happy to now call Michael and Ms. Penny friends.
