Had an incredible experience at the Suwannee Bell last night! We sat upstairs in the enclosed restaurant area, they also have an open sided bar downstairs overlooking the Suwannee River. We had the steamed clams as an appetizer, I had the blackened chicken Alfredo for dinner and I can say it was some of the best Alfredo I have ever had. My parents got the blackened grouper and they both loved it! While we were sitting having dinner we got to watch over 20 sturgeon jumping out of the river it was the coolest to see. All the food was good, drinks were great, server was lovely, all around great experience! read more

Was pretty good in that easy going no frills fish campy kind of Florida way. Nice way to spend a lazy Sunday. So you can do rustic on the bottom floor or kick it up a notch topside. Lovely spot that felt rustic but clean. We arrived on a Saturday around noon and was able to park our class C RV in the parking lot. We were seated immediately. Great views of the river. Friendly and attentive staff. My husband and I both ordered the fish Reuben. Nice sized piece of grouper that was cooked perfectly. He ordered the fries and I ordered the zucchini. We did not order a mixed drink but the menu was on the table and the average cost was around $6. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend. read more

Visited this restaurant several times and for the most part it's good. The food is generally good, one thing I didn't like is you can't get the shrimp,fish and scallops cooked differently like I like. You can only order all fried or all blackened, grilled ect. This is a problem for me because I like my fish blackened, shrimp fried, scallops broiled. The amount of money they charge here you should be able to get what you want. The service is not very good either. It took the waitress 20 minutes to come back to see if we needed refills. I sat there waiting for another beer as I can clearly see her standing by the kitchen playing on her phone. I can go to THE LIGHTHOUSE and they have no problem cooking my food the way I ask. The view of the river is nice but I'll choose another restaurant over this one. read more

The Suwannee Bell is Awesome, the food is amazing and the staff treats you very well. The view of the beautiful Suwannee River makes for an awesome atmosphere and Ambiance. Service was not great, messed up meal, which was supposed to be their signature meal. Grouper was delicious I would have liked to have it how I ordered. Server did not understand that the dish was not prepared properly.......shrimp was very good as well, but once one person in your party doesn't get what they ordered the email is ruined for everyone. I had lunch at Belle Landing with my Wife . We were sitting at the bar . We ordered a chicken sandwich and a burger with fries. Both dishes came out quickly and hot . The food was delicious and the portions are big . Our Bartender Cheyenne was very friendly and attentive. She helped us with the menu giving us recommendations and answered many questions we had about the river and surrounding area . The restaurant is located next to the river. This place is located on the Suwannee river. The view is beautiful. They have outside seating downstairs and indoors upstairs. Our server was friendly and helpful. I had the blackened grouper that was delicious. It was seasoned perfectly and cooked right . The sidewinder fries were crispy outside and tender inside. The coleslaw was good too. My wife got the buffalo shrimp. They were big shrimp battered and tender. Sauce was just right. Her onion rings were crispy and delicious also. This restaurant is down a dirt road and is old Florida. Very crowded on a Friday night, so they must be doing something right. However, that much said, I was rather disappointed. Due to how busy they were, I suppose, it took a very long time for my food to come out although the waitress was attentive and friendly. When my fried shrimp basket finally appeared, the serving of shrimp was fine but the coleslaw included was barely a garnish, the sweet tater fries numbered few, and only one small, overcooked, hush puppy! The shrimp supposedly are local and tasted pretty good, but again, the serving size in contrast to what you get up the road at the Lighthouse was just paltry and unimpressive. I also had the "small" serving of their famous key lime pie: this came as three tiny pie tartlets, which in size was fine for the price and expected as the "small" serving, but the amount of crust overpowered the key lime flavor. A larger single tart would have made more sense. If you order other dishes or come for the cocktails and a by-the-river drinking environment, maybe it's more fun and better food, but overall I was a little disappointed. read more

I couldn't remember if there was any crab on the plate or not, so if it was there, it was not very noticeable. The meal was $27.00, more expensive than other entrees on the menu. They didn't have key lime pie which we were wanting, but only cheesecake for dessert. Our waitress was awesome, and our food was amazing, music playing in the background wasn't too loud, and this place is worth the little bit of extra drive off the beaten path to get to, It does get busier some peak times so pay close attention to the day and time of the week. Thank you for another great meal. Tried the wings for the first time.....they are great. Anything shrimp or gator is a real treat. Beautiful day on the river and the place was packed. Hmmmm...never have to wait for a table in Gainesville. Great food, great service and a beautiful setting. And we have friends who now drive from Gainesville to enjoy a wonderful meal. 10 minute wait for a table was just fine! I really appreciate that their disability parking spaces are on concrete with no transition of surface. Off the beaten path -the atmosphere is riverfront. Nice! Has a "dive bar" feel with typical pub fare. We sat at the bar and service was attentive. Only complaint I had was the bartender was super busy while other staff seemed to just stand around. Seemed a bit unfair but we were certainly taken care of. Me, hubby & 6 of our friends came here by jet ski in Dec. everyone loved their food. Hubby & I ordered gator tail, which was good. I had the grilled grouper w/ crab cakes & veggies. I really liked the grouper & veggies. Crab cake was just ok & I wish I had asked for the cheese sauce on the side. Hubby had chicken parm sandwich, which he liked. Service was good, food was good. What a spot. Come for the views n tranquility alone. It is a restaurant made of wood and on stilts situated right on the suwannee rivers edge. Could not be a prettier setting. The food was pretty good too. I had the mixed trio of tacos - gator, shrimp and fish - all were very tasty. I ordered the fries - which came a little late - but I was a happy girl. The portions are also generous. My husband ordered a steak which although was not the best quality it was cooked very nicely and he really enjoyed it. Wine is served in plastic cups - I hate that. The hubs and I have been relishing our empty-nest syndrome by taking weekend jaunts around our great state. We're also house hunting, so that takes us off many a beaten path. The Suwannee Belle Landing restaurant is perched right along the Suwannee River off Highway 19 in Fanning Springs. The lower level is a bit louder and more open air. It has more of a waterfront vibe. We chose to sit in the enclosed upstairs dining room because it's hot as the Devil's armpits in Florida in August. Also, the huis hard of hearing and I don't like to repeat myself. The upstairs dining room was quiet and cool with a beautiful view of the river's comings and goings. Service was a bit slow to arrive, but when she finally took our order, things arrived quickly. Upon other recommendations, I ordered the raspberry margarita. Um, I would say if you enjoy a good, fresh, margarita, don't do it. It tasted definitely of a mixer. Since I'm known for squeezing all day for a good 'Rita, I should have known better. I ordered the fish reuben. It was delicious. The fish was crispy, the coleslaw was sweet and tart. I was in fish reuben heaven. The house made chips were so crunchy and were awesome with their tarter sauce. Don't judge me. My hubs got the fresh clams pasta. There were more clams than pasta! He loved it. Overall, we'd definitely go back. The view alone is worth it. Just remember, riverfront isn't fancy. It's a total vibe. read more

We've been here a few times. We love the atmosphere and the food. We always sit downstairs with the outdoor bar and the Suwannee River next to us. We've never had a bad visit. Service was friendly and quick. I'm a little disappointed that they have now added a $3 up charge to share food. I'd understand I'f we hadn't ordered 2 appetizers and drinks. What an amazing experience we had at Suwannee Belle Landing. We love dining near the water any where we visit. We were staying at Fanning Springs state park and this restaurant was an amazing choice and very close to our cabin. I would highly recommend trying the fish dip, pretzel and cheese and the gater tail appetizers. read more

Ordered Wings "extra crispy" and they weren't even cooked all the way through, couldn't even eat but a few small ones. There's several reasons for choosing Suwannee Belle Landing. The food is excellent and sitting outside while dining is really fun. In the spring and summer months, it's not uncommon to see a giant sturgeon fish jump out of the water or even a manatee pass by. Manatees can be seen any time of year. The food comes on disposable plates and baskets. This is to reduce waste water from dish washing, entering the Suwannee. There's always plenty of staff for fast and friendly service. I brought my son to preview at UF and went to visit a friend in High Springs. She was excited to bring me to Suwannee Belle Landing. What an amazing place. It is picture perfect! The view and ambiance is spectacular. We ordered Gator Bites as an appetizer and they were nice and hot and just the right texture! I was excited about ordering my entree. We ordered the Fish BLT and the Topped Grouper. The Grouper with the crab cake was spectacular, what we really enjoyed as well were the hush puppies. This experience was three for three because the service was amazing. The young lady that served us was very attentive and steered us in the right direction when ordered, she was very knowledgeable about the dishes.
