Fresh micro greens top off the Benny which had perfectly poached eggs on a fresh croissant and accompanied with crispy but fluffy potato wedges. Only complaint was the side of ketchup was pre poured and had developed a thick skin from drying out before platting. Also enjoyed a tropical smoothie which was delicious. The validated parking was an appreciated bonus with underground parking that is heated. Looks great and modern from the outside -- clean, stylish, and inviting -- but once you're seated, the experience doesn't quite live up to the vibe. The service is painfully slow, and the food, while decent, isn't anything to rave about. It gets the job done, but I've definitely had better breakfast/brunch elsewhere. Also, parking is a headache (thanks, downtown). It's not terrible, but it's enough of a hassle to make me think twice about coming back. Walked in around lunch time. Sat at the bar. Bar area was clean, maybe a little noisy, but that's ok with me. No wait for a coffee and water order. Briefly looked at the menu, Ordered the threesome. Finally got the chance to visit the @oeb_breakfast at 330 Main St. with the bf. We got there early in the morning so we were fortunate to catch a seat by window and it was also right next to the kitchen, where all the action happens. It was probably the best seat in the restaurant. They had an extensive breakfast/brunch menu, ranging from your classic breakfasts to unique poutines, bennies, crepes, and omelettes. The bf went with the Canadian lobster & shrimp crepe and I had the holy crab benny. The crepe was surprisingly huge, and could probably be shared between two people. It was filled with butter poached lobster and shrimp scramble, green onions, and was topped with brown butter hollandaise and truffle pearls. The holy crab Benny was served on a buttery croissant, topped with wild blue crab, fresh dill, dijonaise, soft poached egg, and topped with brown butter hollandaise, and served with a side of herb potatoes fried in beef tallow. This place was super full on Friday afternoon and they still made a place for me and the food was made very quickly. The waitress I had was fantastic! She was knowledgeable and refilled my water a lot. I asked her what she recommends for someone that loves avocados. She said that The Florentine Benny has a full avocado split in half. Inside the halves is the poached egg. It sounded marvelous and so I ordered it. I felt like the best way to tackle this meal was to use my hands. It was a bit messy but I loved slurping the egg yolk in my mouth lol. The mashed tomatoes beneath the avocados and on top of the bread was absolutely appetizing! Very sweet and tasty. The food was good but it wasn't as good as the one I went to in Calgary. It's a bit over priced for breakfast to be honest but I did enjoy my breakfast. Answer to comment: I really don't know if it was just the busy restaurant with a long wait for food. The parking not being comped or just having a view of homeless people outside that made it less likely of us coming back. I've had good experiences here in the past, but I brought my family to celebrate my birthday and it was a little embarrassing! The hostess and server were great and the birthday mimosa was much appreciated. Overrated. Manager is rude. We checked in on yelp. Two hours is the wait time then waited for an additional half an hour. Then when we were alerted to be seated for a party of 3 they will seat us in the hallway with one of us seating alone. We were not given any option. We were just told that those are our seat. In the cramped up hallway with 3 adults. No communication. When I asked the manager if she will be ok with that if she was us she just smiled and agreed that what she did is wrong. There is no excuse to be treated like crap. We waited already. At least have the decency to speak to your customers. Instead of making excuses, you have to take accountability. This place is just a hype. Food is salty. No water has been served. If we chocked well it's too bad. If you want to ruin your day, go to this place. read more

I have been a couple times as of late and the food has come to the table and is not hot. It seems to me many of the menu you items are precooked and sitting in a warmer but the temperature is not being monitored. We got seated outside the restaurant in the mall area with no view or anything despite there being open tables in the restaurant itself, so there was zero ambiance. We each had the crab and salmon benedicts, which both came with the potatoes. The food came quickly but was very unremarkable presentation-wise and a small amount of food considering the price ($23 each). Neither of us were overly impressed for a first visit especially considering the rave reviews on the website and how busy it's been since opening. So disappointed in the service. Being from Calgary I assumed it would remain consistent. Food was amazing - hats of to the kitchen The service however - horrible. My husband knew it would be bad service right when she took our order. Waitress was rude/ignorant and we were constantly asking other servers for assistance. Cant recall her name but she had a long dark ponytail. When she finally came to ask us how we enjoyed our meal... We blatantly told her we didn't, since we had to chase down people to service us. Example: asked her for more coffee and water 20 mins went by and she served every other table except for myself and 3 other behind us. I ended up going to the kitchen bar and asked a busser. The table behind us received one meal and waited 15-20 mins for the other person to receive theirs. So sad, because I love this place in YYC. read more

We ordered the Ahi Tuna burger, the huevo burrito and kid-sized french toast. The good and the bad... The good was how nice the vibe of the restaurant, the pops of yellow throughout the restaurant, the natural light and comfortable seating. Our server was delightful, knowledgeable and friendly. My daughter ordered the tropical mango smoothie- delicious. I ordered decaf coffee it was not good. It was hot. Other than that the flavour was lacking depth and flavour and tasted burnt. I drank 1/4 cup and ordered an orange juice. My meal was the classic breakfast, my eggs were ordered over easy and I am not a fan of crispy edges on the eggs so it meant I was cutting that all off the egg. I ordered the waffle fries and they were not crispy (pale white colour to them) however my husbands wedges were cooked to perfection. The bacon I ordered was crispy, it arrived cooked but definitely not crispy. What was the BAD and extremely off putting was the hairs found on my bacon. When I showed the server she apologized and said "I'll let the kitchen know." she came back with our bill and no other customer service was offered. Our bill for breakfast was $100 for 3 people, which is insanely over priced. This was a celebratory birthday breakfast for my daughter and I and I had high hopes. Went here for breakfast on Saturday and the food was delicious. I put myself on the waitlist on yelp and got in right away when I got there. The service was good and friendly. My only red flag was the floor manager or supervisor. He was a tall man walking around watching all the staff and yelling at them and being really rude. I felt so bad for all the staff there.
