Great service. The place was busy, but we managed to get a seat outside. Although I do wish there had been an umbrella at our table as when we finished our meal and had to finish our mimosas, a surprise rain happened. Would go again the next time I'm in Winnipeg though. I had the beef short rib bash. It came with a sunny side up egg, fried baby potatoes, mushrooms, onions, banana peppers, and sour cream dill. I'd say it's pretty good for "upscale" Winnipeg breakfast quality. Please note this place is very busy at times, so make use of the wait list function available on the Yelp app. We also shared a coconut raspberry rice pudding. Not what we expected...looked more like cinnamon toast crunch cereal than rice pudding, so take that however you like. Service was excellent here. This won't be a place I'd visit often, but it's a place I can recommend if you're looking for something beyond the standard fare brunch stuff. read more

This place is awesome for brunch!!! They have indoor and outdoor seating which is great. The decor inside is warm and I almost felt like I was at home. The food was amazing. If you get the pancakes you will be full with eating half of one. So I recommend sharing this. I also ordered the Honduras Beleadas which I think is a must try. Service was quick and friendly. We were here on a nice summer day and sat outside for lunch. The staff was very friendly and helpful in helping us decide what we wanted to try, which ended up being EVERYTHING We are glad we did family style and got a chance to try most of the items, because they were all amazingly DELICIOUS!!! The shaved steak sandwich was rich and cheesy, the sticky turkey sandwich was sweet and savory. The carrot & farro (grain) salad was full of flavor and larger than expected, although I would have liked more carrot than farro as it was the headliner of the dish title. Always have excellent service here! I'm in walking distance and one of my favourite breakfast/lunch places in the city. Their eggs Benedict is to die for and the steak sandwich will have you dancing in your chair haha-so good. If you're into unique drinks they have a couple that are worth a try. The iced Raspberry matcha latte is my top choice. Very aesthetic and calm dining room which was refreshing. The food makes you feel good after and the ingredients taste fresh because they are! Lovely new brunch place in old St.Vital that's open 7 days a week till 3 pm. It's located minutes from downtown and right next to the Limelight karaoke place. They have beautiful decor inside that reminds of the store Anthropologie. They have a decent sized patio that is full of umbrellas (fantastic) and adorned with flowers and plants behind the bench seating. The patio is enclosed so you don't feel like you're right beside the busy St. Mary's road traffic. Service is very friendly and welcoming. Crowd is similar to the Clementine/former Segovia/Sous Sol demographics. Menu has some traditional brunch items from local sources like the eggs Benedict and eggs/bacon or sausage to more international inspirations from Asian, Indian and Latin. All mains are a la carte so you will need to get some sides. The eggs Benedict were a hit. The Honduran Balaedas - Flour Tortilla with Refried Beans, Grilled Flank Steak, Scrambled Eggs, Cotija Cheese, Avocado and Lime Crema ($14) is a filling dish that but I would have liked a tad more flavour. The side of Fried Baby Potatoes - Chermoula, Aioli, Pickled Onions ($6) were the best. Super crispy and flavourful. The side of House Ground Fennel and Sage Breakfast Sausage with Thyme Honey Mustard and Chives ($6) were full of flavour without feeling overly heavy. The house made ice tea and lemonades were delicious. Mocha was very good. Also a good list of cocktails but I didn't try any on my visit. No reservations. Overall nice locally owned place. Loved this place! The servers were super friendly and the food was absolutely amazing. I loved that there were plenty of vegetarian options. Highly recommend the fried potatoes and mac and cheese side dishes, while the breakfast bahn mi and Honduran baleadas are great mains. The dining room itself is super cozy in the winter with huge windows and a great view of the river on St. Mary's Road--I'll bet it's even nicer on their spacious patio in the summer! I usually stick to the core of the city for breakfast (less driving for me), but this is well worth the trip. read more

Stopped in for a breakfast. I'm a regular guy I just wanted like ham and eggs but they didn't have that to order. Everything was super fancy quality goat cheese etc. I had the flank steak in a tortilla with pickled onions guac refried beans and scrambled eggs it was like a burrito. It wasn't anything special I woulda rather had bacon and eggs. The staff and environment were really nice the place was packed, service was fast.(Server had a really nice mouthnot relevant lol) I'm giving it 3-5 because I'm sure fancy people would like it but they could at least add eggs over east to the menu every egg you could order was scrambled except for eggs Benedict. The cutlery was heavy and clanky for such an elegant place I thought my spin was gonna break my coffee cup, and when you pt your cutlery down on your plate is like your upset about something. Al in all I can see how some fancy pan y people would like to go there for something different but for me I will drive past the place next time I want to go for breakfast! I really like this place, and really *want* to love the food, but was somewhat disappointed with my breakfast today (my 4th time there). Had the eggs Benedict, which were good, certainly cooked right, but not as exceptional as I remembered. Plus there was no side included whatsoever. My memory may be deceiving me but I thought they used to give you a few potatoes or salad or something. I find any egg dish benefits from having something to break it up, ideally a small salad or a few fruit. The latte and hot chocolate we had were great, though. read more
