Another awesome place to have breakfast/brunch! They have lots of pastries and bread options. We had the Sconer here and it was amazing! So good! This was just about the cutest bakery cafe I've been in in a while. They have it all! The pastry case is eye popping, with everything from beautiful apple tarts to Santa macaroons, to chocolate croissants. We started with crepes, roasted pear with candied pecans, had an omlette and then some apple tart. They offered flavored lattes-the kahluah and eggnog latte looked very intriguing, but we had to pass. Great service and wonderful coffee. read more

This place was ok. Was trying to pick a cute place to eat while wedding dress shopping. The pictures online of the food looked good but once we got inside the decor was just short of a diner. This place is so cute and the perfect spot for brunch! I met a girlfriend here for brunch on a rainy Sunday and really appreciated all of the on-site parking, plus all of the street parking. The location is just off Corydon so it's pretty convenient to get to from any area of the city. We met at 10 and it really filled up by 11. We never felt rushed at all and the staff were great about bringing around and topping up coffee and water. The selection was pleasantly surprising both with the menu and with the on site bakery. I opted for a fresh chocolate croissant and a bowl of fruit but all of the crepes were so tempting! The fresh loaves of bread, the cinnamon buns and all of the goodies would have been great to take home for eating later! Frenchway Cafe is a cute spot. There's a few power plugs so you could go and do some work if you wanted or just bring your family and friends for breakfast, lunch or dinner. When I visited the machine for lattes and cappuccinos was broken and I hope it's fixed soon (if it isn't already) and I would definitely go back for a coffee on the weekend while trying to sneak some work in! read more

Went back recently for some pastries and was very disappointed in the croissants. How can a place that calls itself the French Way make croissants that taste similar to Safeway or Superstore? They charge $1.95 for plain croissants and $2.05 for chocolate ones. There was barely any butter flavour so that was my first disappointment. The croissants were small and too flakey. Their croissants have nothing compared to the buttery goodness of the ones made at Tall Grass Prairie, which charges a similar price and is made by a baker from France! read more

Went there this aft. with a friend and enjoyed the coffee and bread pudding very much. Laid back vibe, cozy atmosphere. Bought two brownies for takeout -- will they last until dessert tonight? Not sure -- they look amazing! ...it's a little past midnight and I'm eating one of the brownies. This is one of the best brownies I have eaten in my life! Gorgeous, rich brown color and texture. Lovely, smooth coco-chocolate icing that melts in your mouth. And the cake is moist, dense and delicious. Worth the price (and the wait!). read more

Mediocre food, worse service. The place was super busy when my girlfriend and I got there, so we had to wait a long time to be seated. We finally just seated ourselves. What made it aggravating was that a few different employees passed by us and didn't even bother to say hello or even look at us. They were busy, so they couldn't seat us, but they could have at least said hi. My girlfriend got the classic eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was basically just bland egg yolk. It was not hollandaise sauce. I got the french omelet, which was good. The hashbrowns are just slightly fried chunks of steamed or boiled potato. I'd go again to give it another shot now that I know what to expect. If you're gonna check this place out, just go with low expectations. read more

Met someone here for an after work quick diner. Over all the service was good. The mango/strawberry/pineapple salad with raspberry vinaigrette was tasty and fresh but the few pieces of pineapple did little for the dish. The roasted vegetable sandwich was really good. Overall I enjoyed the food and the service, and will likely make the trip back for pastries and Coffey one day. read more

Amazing! I'm obsessed with their croissants. Could eat them daily. All their pastries are delightful and a decadent treat. The bread is also just as good. I'm a personal fan of the sour dough. I've had a few breakfasts and lunches here and enjoyed everything once again. This place is trouble for how good everything is, since I live so close. read more

I've eaten here for breakfast several times. Their servers are always friendly and helpful, and have even gone as far to bring my dog a dish of water on the patio. The food is really good, and reasonably priced. Everything has a very authentic feel to it. Even their peanut butter and jams are made in-house, rather than the little packets most breakfast places use. They do a great job of creating a very appealing pastry display, with lots of selection. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good breakfast / brunch spot! read more

My wife and I tried this place right after it opened. A little pricey for the amount of food you get. It didn't help that their waiter is still wearing shorts in November, but some must like hairy legs with their fancy sandwiches. I went back the next week, tried a different sandwich and had to run for home before the explosive diarrhea hit. That continued for the rest of the afternoon. Since it's in our neighbourhood I still go there for coffee but I can't trust the food. read more

The French Way catered my retirement celebration. Larissa and her staff was so easy to work with that it made planning the event very easy. When the evening came, the food was amazing. We had about 120 guests and they are still talking about it. The parking and outdoor patio were definite bonuses. I highly recommend allowing the French Way to help plan your event. read more

Not really impressed wanted to try this place for awhile went on Tuesday am not busy only 3 other tables service was very slow not sure why finally got order taken 13 minutes had past by then I ordered strawberry crepes my companion ordered chocolate crepes other tables got food before us again not sure why finally our food came gave wrong plates dropped off & left was wondering if she was bringing our whipped cream but didn't so I had to get her attention wasn't easy asked for my whipped cream she looked at me like I was from outer space then walked away came back 5 minutes later saying only mine came with it but didn't bring any ok my friend said she would pay extra for it by now crepes are cold & crispy finally brings 2 very small containers with a little dollop of whipped cream floating on some syrup of some kind what is this I ask oh your whipped cream omg whatever tried to scope out whatever we could kinda gross not very enjoyable food is better at my house probably won't go back not impressed sorry read more
