The glowing reviews are accurate. I can attest firsthand as I came to OD's Kitchen to celebrate a gf's birthday and was just blown away. Brekkie is not usually what I would lean-into meal-wise over lunch or dinner but with the food being so good, I would actually come back. We both ordered the Kitchen Sink plate which was loaded with all of the breakfast fixings and covered in a bed of delectable gravy, and topped off with two sunny-side up eggs. It was so much food that we were able to take at least half to go for a second meal. You know the place is good when there's people waiting outside. Despite the small wait time, the service was fast and attentive. The next time I'm in Gilroy, I definitely will be making my way back to OD's Kitchen!

I'm ashamed of myself that I haven't been back here in 10 plus years! This place on my way up to San Jose has been out of the way for my liking and I'm sure to now stop on by more often. I've always remembered they are not shy with the portions and did they deliver. I ordered the half rose bud as I remember they serve well and it was plenty! Our server was on point and the atmosphere on a Saturday was amazing. Had a wonderful experience and I'll be sure to come back as much as possible! Highly and I mean highly recommend OD's Kitchen !

This place is great! From the food to the service there isn't anything bad I can say about my experience. I got the Kitchen Sink which was delicious. It comes with fried potatoes with diced ham, bell peppers, onions, sautéed together with cheddar cheese and 2 eggs on top, with choice of toast. The portion size of this dish is on the bigger side. The people who work here are so friendly and funny! The server genuinely gave me the feeling that she loves her job. One of the best servers I have come across in a long time.

LEGIT. This place has taken the crown as my favorite breakfast spot in the South Bay. Well super super South Bay. Their service is phenomenal, the gravy is out of this world, and the portions are obscene. I can't wait to bring the family down for breakfast. Server recommended the chicken fried chicken (instead of steak) it was moist and super tender. Check this place out, you won't be disappointed.

I've come here again after my great experiences before. The food is still strong. Service is great and they have good pancakes and breakfast options. The last time I got the Kitchen Sink, there were maybe toooo many potatoes, but overall it was delicious. Staff are really nice. This is hearty! Great for after or before hiking.

Not so happy this time I ordered the side off apple slices and it wasn't even half of the apple. I asked the waitress if I could get the rest of the apple and she said she would have to charge me double.

Lovely little downtown gem. Welcomed right away and handed menus to sit wherever we liked. It's was quaint and comfortable. I ordered the "little one" full breakfast but with one egg. My bf ordered the linguisa and eggs. Both were delicious, eggs cooked perfect, the sourdough toast was so good I asked what brand, it was from a local baker Paulino's in Watsonville. Best sourdough! Our server Janelle was AMAZING, i couldn't decide on which salsa I wanted so she brought out a little of all 3. She was great! We will be back!

Been traveling out towards this area alot lately and its always hard to find a restaurant that covers all the bases. After eating here it's a homerun! The staff was fast and friendly and the the food came out even faster. The food was delicious from the sourdough toast to even the butter which my wife loved! The spinach feta omelet with bacon we added was delicious and fluffy! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Plenty of seating and clean restrooms. I would definitely come back. That's my review..

I read the reviews so I had to try this place. When we walked in, the lady handed me two menus and told me to sit anywhere. We ordered and she brought us our utensils and drinks. My friend and I wondered why the server was being rude. I tried talking to the server and she just seemed off. She rarely made eye contact. It was 1 pm and pretty empty so it wasn't that she was busy. While we were eating they decided to clean and all I could smell were the chemicals. There's something about the food that made me feel sick afterwards- maybe the extreme amount of oil dripping from the bottom. My tummy felt so bloated and gassy after eating here- it left a bad taste in my mouth and definitely my stomach! Lol The place is decorated for the holidays- I love the festive cheer! They could definitely work on their customer service.

Came on Tuesday, right before they were closing at 2pm. Downtown area of Gilroy. Accessibility - there were street parking and handicap parking in a nearby parking lot. Atmosphere- really nice and friendly staff. It is a quaint small diner. Service- they were able to accommodate our party of 11 and very flexible for some of us who wanted to share the entrees. Food- over all, the dishes were tasty and good portions to share. - fajita salad: fresh spring mix, carne asada meat. Slightly dry - Kitchen Sink Sandwich: fresh roasted turkey breast and good amount of meat - Kitchen Sink Breakfast- it was the best stirred fried cubed potatoes with ham, onions and bell pepper. The pancake was huge and fluffy. Definitely their signature dish - California Omelet: it was good. Had it with the country potatoes but not very seasoned.

Wow wow wow , great breakfast add a great price. The quality and flavor was all there. I was able to build a delicious omelette that was packed with a lot of great toppings. My favorite things about this place was they had great customer service, they always checked on you and English muffins were so delicious. There was also no wait to be seated. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great breakfast.

After receiving our drinks, it took our waiter another 5 minutes to take our order. Honestly, we were not satisfied with our drinks. We ended sending back our 'Banana Matcha' because it tasted like oat milk and artificial sweetener (it made my sister gag), to me it tasted like nail polish (weird ik). I ordered the 'Horchata Latte' which was not as bad but wasn't able to taste the "horchata" part of the coffee. For food we ordered a 'Huevos Rancheros' and 'Chilaquiles verdes'. The portions are a good size for the prices., chilaquiles were good and spicy but the Tri-tip can use more flavor/seasoning and the huevos rancheros were also good, no complaints on the dish. I went with the chilaquiles which I believe they're known for and they did not disappoint. Great flavor and definitely something I'd order again. I also tried the horchata latte, which was delicious and unique. It wasn't overly sweet, so if you prefer less sugary drinks, you'll love it. Personally, I would have liked just a touch more sweetness, but that's just preference. Service was fast and our server was very friendly. Overall, a great lunch spot and we'll definitely be back next time we're at the outlets.

I chose cornbread, baked beans, and coleslaw. The burnt ends are by far my favorite! They were so flavorful and absolutely the most perfect texture. Not too much fat, but so much flavor! The ribs were also delicious. They weren't "fall off the bone", but not everyone likes that anyways. I thought they were amazing! The baked beans were fine, I was expecting them to be sweeter but now I know. Next time I'll get the potato salad. I got to try it and it was delicious and unique. The coleslaw was good and fresh, perfect crunch. It was a nice contrast in flavor with all the meat and barbecue sauce. The cornbread is not the sweet kind. Which is nice because you can put your own butter and honey on it to your liking. They have an awesome selection of beers in the fridge and some on tap as well. We arrived on a Saturday early evening for dinner recently. Old City Hall Restaurant is located in a nice area in beautiful downtown Gilroy. Parking is accessible along the streets. Plenty of tables are available for dine in downstairs. There is a full bar with plenty of bar stools. The lovely patio looks inviting and spacious. Unfortunately I was not able to see the upstairs dining area. We ordered a Chicken Cordon Bleu with a Caesar salad and baked potato, Scallops and Prawns with a house salad and coleslaw, crème brûlée, and a couple of happy hour drinks of local IPA and house Chardonnay. Everything was delicious. My Chicken Cordon Bleu was flavorful and the combination of the cream sauce, cheese, ham, and chicken all went well together. The wifey said her Scallops and Prawns was scrumptious and the tropical salsa was a delightful complement. Her only gripe was that the portions did not match the price point of the dish. The crème brûlée was delectable and the perfect dessert to complement a wonderful 3 course meal. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Old City Hall Restaurant. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The vibe was bustling and inviting. Daily happy hour is always a nice touch. We will come back to try other dishes especially the burgers.
