Driving from San Francisco to Park City and looking for that quality food for our midway point, waited to stop here in Elko. Fresh delicious Mediterranean food in a spacious clean restaurant in town. My husband could not decide and i suggested the Kofta plate based on another Yelpers "money!!!" Shot. Looked like a Mediterranean Loco Moco and he's a meat and potatoes guy. He loved it & kept picking my fries. He had a side of Falafel which was so delicious by itself he was saying it's like dessert. Hummus was so good too but wish I got fries for the kids. The side of hot sauce and fries and ketchup is SO good. Very delicious and not greasy. Lovely owners, food and worth the detour from the highway. Kinda wish I got a dessert to go- probably very delicious! The drive to here let us check out this interesting downtown. read more

Saw this place on top of yelp. I'd give 4.5. Had the red cabbage salad, kuba, and lamb kabob plate w/ tabbouleh and hummus. I keep forgetting im not a fan of the red cabbage in mediterranean restaurants but i keep getting it because theyre veggies. Kuba was really good - served really hot as i had to chew w/ my mouth open. Proper ratio of filling and the outer crust. Wish it was served w/ some sauce because it felt a little dry overall. Kabobs were on the tangy side that i wasnt expecting band was great. Rice felt a little over cooked and is not as fluffy as could be (-0.5 stars). Hummus and tabbouleh were on point to my tasting. Waitress said that owners are Palestenians (if this matters because of regional differences for "mediterranean" food). read more

I was slightly skeptical with all the 5 star reviews, but with only one night in Elko, I thought to give them a try and they delivered. I ordered the meat pie plate with baba ganoush and red cabbage salad (extra $1.50) and it was definitely a dish I've never had before. I was expecting the meat to be inside the pie, but it was baked on the outside so the bread was fluffy. The red cabbage salad along with the baba ganoush were fresh and added a variety of texture to each bite. My husband ordered the kofta plate which came with rice, hummus, and tabbouleh. Again, with the freshness and wonderful textures. The kofta was wonderfully spiced and juicy. We both cleaned our plates. Owners are super sweet and seem truly delighted to share their delicious creations with all. A must try. read more

Grading on an Elko curve, we've heard that this is the best restaurant in town, and we wouldn't argue. For a group, it was cost-effective to order a bunch of appetizers and share. We shared the falafel, fries, rice, tabouleh, and hummus. Fries were outstanding and falafel and rice were very good. The hummus was the only thing we were disappointed by because it was a bit bland. It was pretty busy for a Friday night and had limited servers, so would not go here if you're in a rush. read more

On my gosh! You must stop here and have lunch or dinner. We had dinner here because of the great YELP reviews and it did not disappoint. My husband ordered the Ribeye steak (which we shared) and I ordered the Mediterranean Salad. The steak melted in our mouths and was cooked to perfection. The sides that came with it were also very good. So good that we ordered a side of hummus to go! My Mediterranean Salad was light and very flavorful. If I could give more than. 5 stars, I would! Every dish was absolutely delicious, authentic Mediterranean at its best . We had the Kuba for an appetizer. The dressing on the red cabbage salad had a light dressing with a hint of mint. The lamb kabob meat as the best lamb we had ever tasted. The shush tawook had outstanding spices on it. The humus was creamy, tabooleah perfect. The owner was very personable and has an obvious passion for preparing and serving excellent Mediterranean cuisine. Wow I sampled a few different items and had a Mediterranean margarita. Everything was delicious and very fresh. I've never had lamb but the waitress recommended it so I figured I would try it- wow it was awesome! Like well seasoned steak. saw another review about the mint being soggy.... The best part of road trips (for me), is trying local restaurants. In Elko, NV, I doubt you'll find anything better than Odeh's (unless you don't like Mediterranean flavors). Choose from beef, lamb, or chicken for your protein, and regardless of the preparation, it will satisfy your palate! I tried Kuba, Meat Pie, and the Red Canbage appetizers. All are tasty - cabbage has some finely chopped mint complimented by an in house lemon vinaigrette dressing, the meat pie is flavorful, too. The real star is that Kuba! Barring allergies, TRY THE KUBA! It's like a savory, meat -stuffed fritter, but so much better. After three weeks traveling, I chose to have the Mediterranean Salad with Chicken. The house dressing is yummy; I opted to get a side of Tzatziki as my dressing because I like creamy dressing versus vinaigrette. Hubby had Shish Tawook. The barbecue style grilling of the chicken enhanced the flavors beautifully, and the sides complemented the chicken so well! We saw an order of the lamb chops at another table... will definitely order those next time! So, portion sizes are generous. While you could stuff yourself, why not take home leftovers and enjoy the fresh, flavorful food another day? We will be stopping here the next time we're in Elko, and maybe we'll make the trip (4 hours), for the heck of it, as I've not had authentic flavors like this in the greater Reno area, ever! read more

This was actually our 2nd visit. We had every intention of trying a new place this trip, but the place that was recommended had an hour wait & we were too tired for that. No wait at this place, either time we visited - & this was a Saturday night. I'm surprised, because on both visits we experienced excellent food & service. I highly recommend the Lamb Kebob. 6 generous cubes of grilled meat come on a board with hummus, tabouleh & rice. We also tried a Kuba (what I've usually seen called Kibbeh) as an appetizer. It was fried to perfection & came with a very cucumber-laden & tasty tzatziki. Babaganoush was also excellent; though a tad salty it was also very smoky, which I love, & this was also a very generous serving. Of course for dessert we had Baklava, which was perfect. They also have turkish delight. It's not my favorite thing, so we didn't order it, but it looked beautiful. It's definitely a highlight on your trip through Elko! read more

What a find! If you are looking for a flavorful and healthy dinner, Odeh's is a great option. We were just passing through Elko and decided to have dinner here. Everything we ordered (dolmas, spinach triangles, tabbouleh, tzatziki, grilled chicken with saffron rice) was delicious. We were on the road back home to California and got tired of hamburgers and pizzas that are in a abundance in the states visit so far. I was happy to finally see a place that served multiple vegetarian items with fresh salads great on their own even if they didn't have a slab of meat next to them. Don't take me wrong, I love my meat and so does my daughter, but then my husband is vegetarian, and even I got sick of the meat heavy diet The place itself doesn't look like much from the outside, and I started to wonder if the grade reviews were due to the lack of good food in the area. However, the inside was charming and inviting. Our dog loved the cold, clean floor, and we enjoyed the decor and the Arabic music Playing in the background. The food was great. I got no pictures because we were very hungry and ate it rather quickly. My husband ordered spin pies and chose Satsuki and as two sides. I got the lamb chops dish for my daughter, which was large enough for her and me to eat. It came With saffron rice, fries, hummus and tabouli salad. I everything was fresh and tasted great. I love also ordered the pita, which was a great decision because it was pillowy, soft and warm. They bake their own pitas every morning, our server said. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. The food was enough for the three of us, and the server offered a bowl of water flower dog. If we are ever here again, we will definitely go back. read more

We stayed a night in this Nevada town on the way from California to Idaho. Since we really didn't want just a burger...we found this Mediterranean restaurant with lots of good reviews. We ordered the Vegetarian Combo Plate, fries, and pistachio baklava. Food was great and would certainly come back again if we were in town. However, I recommend you call and order ahead if taking out. It does take some time. One hiccup, when we went back to our hotel, we noticed there was no falafel in our order...we had to drive back to the shop but they made some fresh falafel for us, though...again, took more time. I think it was an especially busy night for them. Saw their indoor dining was open, and those folks probably had to wait longer than us :) There is parking right out front. read more

Awesome Mediterranean Resturant in Elko......who knew, all the locals apparently. Wide variety of items and everything is homemade. Definitely returning. They were out of meat pies and kuba due to the rodeo being in town and wiping them out. But happily there were a bunch of other options. Went with lamb kabobs, beef and rice, kuba and pita they were all great. Easily the best restaurant in Elko and if you're traveling by and want a break from burgers, fast food and over priced steaks give Odeh a try. Great lamb and beef dishes. The owner is super engaged and her care shines through. My girlfriend who is part Lebanese and a total Lebanese food snob said "the is the best lamb and the best tabbouleh I've ever had and second to my mother's the best kuba/kibbeh I've had." It was very fun, trying different food. I had the Kuba there were other things that were ordered. Their pita is excellent. Their hummus is really good. The tzatziki I loved my only slight little issue is the one thing that I would've wanted to try for dessert is there pistachio baklava and the lady said that the person who makes it hasn't made it in a while so then maybe take it off the menu so people don't get hype to have it. Otherwise, the service was good. The ambience was good. The food was good all in all. I will be back the next time. I am up in Elko read more

Wow! This place was truly incredible. The interior was in the midst of a remodel, so that was nothing special. But the staff were friendly and the Mediterranean food was clearly authentic and absolutely amazing! The fresh pita was homemade and fantastic. The falafel was not dry like most are. And the lamb skewers were really more like mini lamb steaks rather than skewered pieces. This place would be considered fantastic in any major city, so it was a delight and a true find to enjoy while we were driving through Elko! read more

This place has the friendliest service ever. It's not often that you go somewhere and are made to feel like family. They take the time to get to know their customers and have conversations with them. Always such a joy to have dinner here. The food is outstanding. You can taste the love that is put into each and every meal. We have eaten there several times and each time you get the same quality and care. I highly recommend the falafel, it's just perfect! The Baklava is outstanding, I could eat a piece every day! The bread, made from scratch....yummy!! Oh the fish sandwich..now I don't like fish at all, but thus sandwich is amazing. They make the tarter sauce from scratch (like everything else) but it's not like American tarter sauce. It's even better!!! Try the fish sandwich!! Oh and mint tea served with real mint leaves. This was a surprise. Such an amazingly tasty place, in Elko! I honestly would drive back here just to eat here! The staff were very friendly, and all of the food was delicious and seemed very authentic (I've never been, but the decor and tv matched the atmosphere). We ordered the vegetarian combo plate, and it came with so much food! Enough for a second meal. The highlight was the crunchy falafel, and the aromatic rice. We ended up ordering nan bread to go with it so since there were so many sauces. We also had a side of the tzatziki sauce, and it was dIfferent than what I normally see - it had shreddded cucumber in it, which gave it a delightful texture. read more

We stop here every time we travel from Nevada to Montana where are family all live. This restaurant never fails to deliver an amazing meal. Fresh, healthy and oh so delicious!!! I love that this landed in the small community of Elko. If you are a meat eater than do not pass on this locally sourced, top notch menu item. If you are vegan or vegetarian - you will find many, many fresh and delicious options as well (that cabbage salad is sooooo great and, of course, the falafel and humus cannot be beat)! There aren't many options if you're vegan in Elko, so I was pleasantly surprised when my husband (a carnivore) found this place for us. He had the chicken shwarma which he enjoyed and I had the spinach pies. Odeh's makes their own pita which is also what wraps the spinach pies. I was served 3 delightful pies that were lemony and bright with perhaps a touch of nutmeg. Perfect French fries and a refreshing tabouli rounded out my meal. I really should've tried the babaganoush! I also got some desserts: 2 different kinds of Turkish Delight, baklava and another pistachio/baklava-ish treat or waitress was very kind and present without being intrusive. Excellent! read more
