Would not thought we could have great Greek food at Elko. Thanks for the local co workers' recommendation. A small and very clean lobby. We were told they remodeled during the pandemic. Lots of choices. I went for veggie platter which have dolma, falafel, baba gounusch, hummus, and salad. Falafel and hummus were my favorites which went perfectly with home made pita bread. Baba gounush were a bit stronger flavor. Others got the meat pie which were obviously very good as they are all gone. We also got the desserts, balalava with pistachio and walnuts and sésemme with chocolate. All delicious for me. Services were warm and family feeling. Highly recommended. read more

We came in on the way home from Montana and saw some really good reviews and love middle eastern food so we stopped. The owner was from Bethlehem (Palestine) so we knew we were in for some good food. We just did not expect the nightmare service we endured. I ordered a gin and tonic and the first version came out with soda water. She went back and fixed it and it was decent. My wife ordered a mojito from the menu and it came out with a bunch of old, nasty mint leaves. It looked disgusting, photo attached to the review. The vegetarian plate good, not great. The pita and the humus was good. TA liken was warm and soggy, not fresh. Also another waitress delivered the other two meals to another table who had ordered the same two dishes so my wife was completely done with her vegetable Plate before the other two came out maybe 20 minutes later. From the time we arrived, it was 60 minutes before we had 2 of the 3 meals. After 55 minutes the owner came over and said they'd ran out of rice. I said we should have been told and offered an option. She started offering French fries and I asked how long for the rice, she said she would check. 10 minutes later the waitress came out and said 10 More minutes and offered salad. I asked if we could have baklava to go? She went to check. I said bring whatever food is ready. Now we've been here more than an hour, still only 1 meal and we're waiting for the meal sans rice. The meals come out and they are good. I would recommend they don't serve mix drinks and stick to beer and wine instead unless they have a person that k owns how to make drinks. And really need to get the service squared away. It is really hurting the overall experience since the food is good overall. read more

Service was slow and the food took a long time to come out. I've eaten here before and wasn't overly impressed with the shawarma I had. What i did notice this time immediately upon walking in, they changed the layout, put in a bar area and gave it a 100 percent improvement over the old layout. The food is decent but lacking what I desire. One, the humus is very grainy. I like a good smooth humus. The rice was pretty dry. And every time I eat here, I try the baklava again. This time it was better in flavor, a good flaky consistency with ample honey, but for $3 I would like a piece bigger than a single triangle 1.5 inches at most on the sides. read more

The overall experience of this place was vice nice. The staff was very helpful and attentive. Always kept on top of water and food. The food was really good. You know a place is good when it is packed. All of the food was flavorful and worth the experience. I wish that there was more meet on the plates. I would take more meet rather than two cups of rice. The Hummus and Tabbouleh was really delicious. The lamb was a little chewy but would still recommend. The ambiance was good. The place is a bit Echoy so when the loud dude in the corner would talk. We had to talk loudly to conversate. Not much anyone can do about that. Just know it can be loud. Overall great place in Elko. I truly love finding places like this...you know the ones... family owned, terrific food, amazing service and kind staff. It all usually equates to one thing, a favorite spot. Well this is it for me. I've found my top two favorite restaurants in Elko NV and I have to say, Odeh's is definitely one of them. I found Odeh's on Yelp and was so excited to try the food! Inside smells like meats grilling which is enticing. My mouth started watering the second I walked in. I came in to order to go. I got Bone in lamb chops which came with hummus, tabbouleh, Garlic Turmeric Rice and fries. I got my boyfriend the steak which came with the same things. I ordered Dolmas, Tzatziki, and Pistachio Baklava. It was admittedly expensive...roughly $95.00 with tip added to that...but I also realize I ordered the lamb and steak, so I was praying it would be worth it. I waited a bit for the food, however it's not like I called ahead or ordered online so I expected a wait. Plus the dining room was busy! Which is always a good sign. I live super close to the restaurant (within walking distance) so our food was still super fresh and hot when I got home with it. I've never had Mediterranean food this good. The lamb chops aplenty were cooked to perfection and had the best flavor. The rice was to die for. The fresh tabbouleh helped cut through the richness and the hummus was homemade and so creamy. The dolmas were great, the tzatziki was AMAZING, and the Baklava!! Omg that baklava. A MUST TRY. I was in literal heaven eating. I definitely want to try more foods and can't wait to go back! If you're ever in Elko, and love Mediterranean food, Odeh's is worth it. And they have many options so you don't have to get a meal as expensive as what I got...but I wanted to go all in on an amazing Mediterranean meal and that's exactly what I got. read more

That's means it's all made locally and fresh, and perhaps pushes you out of your usual order. It was my first time there with a work colleague. Katfa, hummus, and a couple of shawarma sandwiches. Tasty fresh and different from the usual! A gem if you are in town, or driving through. The service was great, food was fresh, ambiance was a little sparse, bright lights, but you're there for the food. Not really a date night type place unless you've read this far into my review - meaning you're a foodie and soft lights and background music don't make a difference.... We read the reviews about the cleanliness and friendliness. Within two minutes both proved to be true. This is the cleanest table, menus, water glass, etc I have seen in years, or forever! I was lucky that they were out of stock with Modelo beer because I switched to Firestone IPA beer and loved it. Just ate the lamb and rice. Very good! Delicious homemade food, friendly staff. Highly recommend. Chicken dishes and baklava in particular are great.

Unfortunately our first experience was with their catering or off-site food service at a very large local event. Two of us opted for the lentil soup. $12 each. What we got were two 10-ounce bowls of brothers with a bit of onion and perhaps 20 lentils between the two bowls. We are here all week and pass through regularly. Highly unlikely to bother with the actual restaurant. There are some great eateries we are discovering here at much better valued. read more

I recently stopped at Odeh's again on a drive from Montana to California and the food wasn't as good as it was on my prior review. I ordered falafel, fries and the red cabbage salad this time. The falafel was underwhelming (whereas before it was among the best I've had in the US)...sorta stale tasting in a stale tasting pita. The fries were soggy but the red cabbage salad was excellent. I definitely will stop in again on my next trip and I think it was just that I ordered in the gap between lunch and dinner, but it was a bit disappointing given that I was looking forward to amazing falafel on a 1000 mile road trip. read more

This is hands down the best Mediterranean food in Nevada! I've tried falafel at many restaurants and this did not disappoint. Probably the best I've had. I tried the Kofta platter, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, shawarma, and their chocolate pistachio baklava (obviously needed a to go box) lol! Their hummus is creamy and pita bread was warm and comforting. Great service, friendly staff and delicious authentic Mediterranean cuisine at reasonable prices. This will be my must stop when I pass through Elko again. read more

What a delicious place to find in Elko. Our party was arriving late so we called to make sure they were still open and I am so happy they were. Persian food cooked expertly by a family with a passion for authenticity and a guarantee that your food will be flavorful using the freshest ingredients. Our meal was fabulous. The tabuleh ? Again not sure on the spelling but that side dish was packed with flavor. Not overpowering but just fantastic. I would drive 300 miles to try that. I even brought some home for my girlfriend who thought it was great. Fortunately one of the owners helped us with our meal selection and provided sound advice to us newcomers. Not only were we enthralled by the background story on the owners but learned a little about the food in the process. This place is amazing, such a gem in Elko! I drive through Elko occasionally and have stopped here twice, it's now on my list for must-stop if needing a meal in Elko. I got the lamb kabab and my partner got the kofta. Both were delicious - the lamb was cooked absolutely perfectly and seasoned so well. What's the last time you had food that weren't over cooked? I'm usually not a big fan of hummus, I just eat them if they are in my plate. But this, I ate a bunch. It's a creamy perfect blend. Also I have not been to any restaurant with menu this clean. (No random stickiness whatsoever) Water glasses are also like brand new, no scratches and just CLEAN. I'm not OCD but I've been finding it hard to walk into any restaurant without needing to ask for a new set of clean plates, silverware, or glasses... To answer the question "Mediterranean in Elko? " Yes! I was more than a little skeptical about this place. Especially when driving up. But to paraphrase Han Solo, it doesn't look like much but it's got it where it counts! The servers are attentive and the food was really good. We had the Hummus appetizer and it was flavorful and quite nice. We also had the Mediterranean salad with chicken. Very good. Not overpowering with spice but well seasoned. It was delicious and filling. So much so we didn't even get dessert. I highly recommend this place if you're craving good Mediterranean flavors without a pretentious atmosphere. Amazing place. Jewel in the desert. Awesome Arabic coffee. Was so refreshing after a long day of driving in the heat. We ordered lamp plate, kofta plate, falafel and babagaboush. All were an amazing treat. The Babagaboush was a little more tangy then usual but very satisfying. I wish this restaurant moved to Bay Area. We need something this authentic there.
