it is always such a pleasure to bring our family to Odeh's! Everyone goes out of their way to make sure our food is not only beautifully plated, but so flavorful that my grandsons won't eat anywhere else when we have our sleepovers! Thank you for always going above and beyond serving and providing such amazing cuisine!!!! read more

You have to be pretty special to go by one name and people know who you're talking about. If I say Barbra, you know I mean Barbra Streisand. If I say Elvis, you know I mean Elvis Presley. And if I say Odeh you need to know I mean Mahmoud Odeh who owns an incredible restaurant in High point bearing his name! So you may ask, why would I travel all the way to High Point for Mediterranean food when I could find several wonderful restaurants right here in Greensboro. Well, I have two reasons for you. One is that I know Odeh for over 20 years and want to support him in his relatively new venture. The other reason is that the food is so freaking unbelievable that it is absolutely worth the drive Odeh came to me when I was the Executive Director of the Community Theatre of Greensboro and expressed an interest in getting involved. He joined the cast a few times but ultimately landed where he should be and we needed him the most... backstage! If you ever came to watch CTG's production of The Wizard of Oz and marveled at how the Wicked Witch, Glinda and many other characters fly through the air during the production, you must give credit to Odeh who has worked tirelessly year after year as a volunteer to bring that special effect to people that attend our annual production. I must really trust him because my daughter played the Wicked Witch one year and as I watched her soar through the air attached to a cable at 50 mph I always had confidence that Odeh and the flying team would catch her before she slammed into the backstage wall. So far so good! Well a couple of years ago he told me he was opening a new restaurant and I told him I love baklava. Next day he walked into rehearsals with a box full of them. They were out of this world and at that moment I promised I would drive to High Point to visit him at his new restaurant For you Greensboro people who never venture out, just get on Wendover and head due west and at the intersection of Wendover and Eastchester Drive make a left and you will start to see signs on your left. It was a little tricky to find it the first time but now with signs showing you the way, it's a breeze. There's fresh food and then there's fresh food. Odeh's is a master at this. Every time I eat there it looks and tastes like it just came out of the oven and was prepared by somebody with love and care. The salads are crispy fresh, the meats and chickens are deliciously spiced and tender, the exquisite Middle Eastern side dishes are prepared on site and absolutely divine. Some of my favorites are the corn salad, baba ganoush and tabouleh. Unlike most restaurants where I gravitate towards my tried and true dishes, every time I go there I like to try something else because everything is so awesome. I met two of my theater friends there the other night and we enjoyed outside dining and a visit with Odeh as I devoured his shish kebab platter. The portions are hearty, the presentation is lovely and the price is right. The tastes are sublime and anybody that can fly my daughter across the stage without killing her deserves my support LOL The inside has a limited number of tables which fill up fast. I have a feeling with the warm weather coming and people being more comfortable eating inside, Odeh's will need more seating space in the very near future. Once you try his Middle Eastern food, I promise you, you will be back! I remember when my Mom was still alive and I would bring her there in her wheelchair, I was always so touched how accommodating Odeh and the rest of the staff were to make me and my mom feel comfortable and welcome. Mom was always a big fan of fresh food and she always commented how appetizing everything looked to her and she loved his baklava! If Odeh's were in Greensboro I would be there more often, but in the meantime I have enjoyed turning all of my friends on to this place. Truly a gem if you are looking for exquisite Middle Eastern food that is home prepared and moderately priced. Odeh who is the owner is a hard worker. Every time I go there I find him greeting customers, helping in the kitchen, taking care of business and making sure everything is tip top.. and it always is! With the pandemic beginning to turn around, the theater community is hoping The Wizard of Oz will be back soon. So next time you are at the Carolina theater watching Wizard and you see a 6-year-old child flying through the air during the Kansas twister, you will have a smile on your face not only for the joy of watching that child having the time of his/her life, but also knowing that the man who is flying that kid makes the best falafel in town! Next time you go to his fabulous eatery, tell Odeh you known him from The Wizard of Oz and you will get the biggest smile and maybe even a piece of baklava? LOL Enjoy... Salam and Shalom read more

This was my first time eating here and I must say that I'm largely impressed. There was a great dining atmosphere with traditional music. The recent expansion and addition of a full service bar was nicely done. My quickly established favorite was the Chicken Shawarma platter with medium spice, the portion, quality, and flavors were all incredible. Odeh and his wife are the operators of the establishment and they were super friendly and welcoming with guidance on food options. read more

Outstanding!!! Started with the falafel appetizer, which were light and flavorful on the inside and a nice crisp on the outside. I had the mixed Shawarma platter and it was absolutely delicious. My son had the baked chicken special and the chicken had huge flavors, it was incredibly moist and fell off the bone. Unfortunately for him and fortunate for me, he didn't care for Odeh's special rice that came with it. Golden raisins, cashews, almonds, ground meat and big Mediterranean seasonings.....this rice was phenomenal! The staff was super friendly and extremely attentive. I cannot say enough good about this place and look forward to my next meal there! read more

Food and service was A+++. Best Mediterranean in the Triad. Everything was amazing and we will be back again soon.

Thoroughly impressed with this gem. We were in town looking for furniture and let's just say, it had been a long day. I was delighted to find this 5 star Yelp reviewed place just a few miles away and even more impressed once we got to experience both the food and service. I should've upgraded my chips to fries but thankfully got some off my wife's plate. The kabob added to our humus appetizer was perfect. We'll come back whenever we're in the neighborhood. read more

I was visiting High Point to look at furniture and before leaving I wanted to see if there was a good local lunch spot to try. I opened up the Yelp app and searched "middle eastern", expecting nothing to come up. BUT, to my surprise, two highly rated places came up. I decided to come to Odeh's. So with Covid precautions, they are doing outdoor seating or takeout only. You must place your order at the door and then sit down and they will bring it out to you. The service was friendly! I ordered a falafel wrap, hummus and tabouleh. The falafel was good but what really stood out was the tabouleh. While simple, it's easy for it to kinda suck. This one was AMAZING. I mean, it's up there for the best tabouleh I've ever had. It was perfect and apparently when I told the girl who works there how amazing it is, she said the owner doesn't even have the recipe anywhere. He makes it himself everyday! Highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back out this way again. read more

I really loved everything we had here! This review is based on food, service, cleanliness, atmosphere, and value. Chicken shawarma plate, and combo kabobs were spot on! Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The hummus is delicious, falafels were fabulous and the beef was so tender, it could be cut with a fork! Salads were very fresh, and the dressing was very tasty! Inside is small, so get there early for lunch. This place gets busy! Service has always been great, and the dining area is kept clean. The atmosphere is a cross between a diner, and a cafeteria. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. The value is great, considering the quality of ingredients, taste, and portion. If you want a delicious meal, quick, and at a great price, this is your place! read more

Authentic Israeli Mediterranean food. Some of the best I've ever had. Try the schwarma and some hummus. You won't regret it.

This place is always rocking and rolling. I don't think I've ever had a bad dish from their menu. I've gone in there a few times, and asked the chef to surprise me! I love doing that and the chef loves doing it also! Makes it more fun.! I think their prices are very affordable. read more

I ordered carryout from Odeh's the other evening. To be fair it was around 7 on a Friday evening, but 40 minute wait time for two sandwiches and a salad is lengthy. They also we're about 15 minutes beyond that to get it out the door. They appeared to have a few customers dining in. I used their curbside delivery. There were a good many customers waiting (and waiting) on the sidewalk, at the outside tables, and in their cars. If they could improve their kitchen efficiency they would be killing it. Their Gyros sandwiches are outstanding. I also got a greek side salad that was awesome. The downside is their turn around time on my order. Their pricing is also a concern. $24 for two sandwiches and a salad is pretty steep. As I said the Gyros sandwiches are outstanding in portion and quality. You can't compare to Arby's, but are also forced to. At Arby's I can get 2 for $6 in 5 minutes. The greek/mediterranean salad was giant and very good. It was easily twice the size I expected for the price, and far more than I needed/wanted for a side. We love the menu and food. read more

Saturday the 9th 2025 I had one of the most disgusting experience of my dining career from Mom and Pop restaurants to 4 star michelin restaurants. My wife and I stopped at Odeahs for dinner as we have in the past. I ordered a rack of lamb with a Greek salad and my wife a prime rib sandwich with a Greek salad. I received a regular house salad which I brought to the attention of the waitress and she got her floor manager who said she would tell the owner. No owner came, and I asked the floor manager again and she told me she would bring me a few olives and a pepper, I told her just to forget it. My rack of lamb arrived and I had to flag a waitress down to bring me a knife which she produced several minutes later. The lamb was so tough I couldn't cut it with a knife. I had ordered it medium rare but it came out medium. I was so disgusted I finally told the waitress to put in a dog box for my pooches. The attitude from the staff was SO WHAT. I paid my bill and proceeded to leave when I saw the owner and motioned him over because I wanted to let him know. What a mistake!! He listened to me and insisted he had made the Greek salad himself. I told him no it was a house salad , he still insisted it was a Greek salad. I asked him to call his waitress and floor manager over, which he blew off and proceeded to TALK DOWN to me .Then said I will make you a LITTLE GREEK SALAD in a very demeaning attitude. My wife also tried to show him ALL of the rack lamb, but he refused to view it. After spending $80 in his establishment, I just wanted an apology, nothing free. I just wanted him to know this meal and service was a farce. I have never seen an owner so arrogant and demeaning. I have traveled the country and Never have I been treated in this manner and then to lie about making a salad, very, very , petty. I will NEVER recommend is establishment again read more

I'm writing about my gyros-eating experience here. Before I get I get to that, the restaurant is clean as has an amazing pastry selection. This places oozes quality! My gyros was good but not great. Why? The sauce was placed on the pita before meat was added on top along with other ingredients. So, when biting into the gyros, you get either a mouthful of sauce or no sauce at all. This sauce is what should tie all the ingredients together and should be tasted with each bite. As the gyros was constructed, it was impossible to get the sauce at the bottom to cover other portions of the gyros. The gyro meat was delicious! Well, I enjoyed the gyros a heck more than the one I had from their main competitor in town. But I wish they would put the sauce on top and give some more red onion. Oh yeah, the baklava was amazing! My wife enjoyed her chicken my shawarma. read more

Wow, so rude. We had a reservation for 10 and they made seven of us stand in the doorway for 25 minutes because the other three were running late due to babysitters and traffic. They said it was their policy. Well, it's a bad one. They missed out on an entire round of drinks and appetizers while we were standing in the doorway. Then, they tried to cram 10 seats around two 4-top square tables put together. The chairs were touching. We went next door to La Fiesta where they took great care of us, took our group photos and happily accepted our $500+ in tabs. When we left Odeh's the employees shouted a series of loud BYEs! Zero customer service. Just rude. read more

I had really little expectations based on curb appeal. However, a first good sign was walking by exiting customers sharing with us that it's there favorite restaurant in High Point. A second good sign was when the smells hit me as soon as I entered. The third good sign was an impressive display of fresh baklavas. The service was slow and a little bit confused at first that night. But then, the food. Super fresh salad and Hummus with a lot of olives and some veggies. We had chicken and steak shish kebabs with baba Ganoush and fresh salad. Our kids had chicken nuggets (who looked homemade) and a flatbread pizza. Everything was tasty and fresh. We asked our steak medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. I forgot to take pictures but the dining room is simple but the food presentation. Everything looked fresh. I highly recommend. read more

May I join all of the other reviewers in singing the praises of Odeh's Mediterranean Kitchen? I believe I shall. Such an amazing new addition to the Triad! I have only gone once, but my mouth still waters for their gyros and shawarma platters. Literally every element of the dishes I tried will blow you out of the park! The rice is stellar, the falafel is amazing, the chicken shawarma is unbelievable, and my favorite of all is the gyro meat. Every single item bursts with flavor and leaves you wanting another bite. The prices are unbelievable, the staff kind and accommodating, and the restaurant is clean. You order from the front counter and sit down at a table. It's simple, but the food tastes 5 stars and that makes your experience that much better. I can't wait to go back and try another dish! read more

Lovely restaurant with great atmosphere and Greek food. Great service!------------------------------

Get your Odeh on! The food here is absolutely delicious. Husband and I wanted to try a new halal place, so we checked this out upon recommendation. Good parking, good seating, clean tables and hygenic restrooms, so upon initial reactions, it was good so far. The lady at the counter knew exactly what she was talking about with regards to information about the specials and advising how to order etc. So 5/5 for that. We opted for one special, which was the Chicken, served with potatoes, feta cheese salad, vegetable rice, pita bread and a side of tzatziki. This was an excellent sized portion for a reasonable price. The chicken was falling right off the bone and cooked to perfection. We throughly enjoyed it, one of the best cooked chickens we have ever had. The salad itself was tasty, the rice was flavoursome and the potatoes were soft and enjoyable. Overall this dish was a hit! We cannot wait to come back and order this again. We also ordered the chicken shawarma pita, to mainly compare it to other restaurants which also serve this staple dish. Alongside a side of fries and hummus for extra charge, (if going with the platter option). The chicken shawarma was cooked in different spices to what you usually get, which was a breath of fresh air, but did not deviate too much from the traditional taste. Honestly, it was a very yummy pita, filled with salad also. The only concern was that the pita was falling apart, and made it difficult to eat. Perhaps a thicker bread needs to be used, or to wrap it in such a way that the customer can easily eat it. I ended up opting for a knife and fork to continue devouring this delicacy. The hummus was very tasty, and once again was full of flavour unlike other restaurants which skim on such details. Overall, this meal was absolutely delicious, and my husband and I enjoyed every second of our meal. The owner of the store was also lovely, and asked us how we found our meal and built customer rapport. In all honestly, writing this review made my mouth water, and I am now imagining the taste of the tender chicken coming off the bone ever so gracefully. Next day dreaming stop.... Odeh's! My goal: must eat everything on the menu! read more
