    Greek spaghetti and excellent fries.
    Cari L.

Not as good as it used to be. Family visiting me and we chose to eat here. Our favorite item was the fries. 5 stars for those. Greek Spaghetti with meat sauce was lacking meat and had no flavor. 2 of us ordered the dish and didn't even bring back leftovers. Chicken parmesan sandwich was not even a chicken parm like you would imagine-it was chicken nuggets. (?) Chicken Philly was plain. Of course, prices have risen considerably since last time eating here.

The chicken souvlaki was tasty and seasoned to perfection! This restaurant is counter service, no wait staff. The restaurant is a little outdated which would not be a place for date night. However for the mid week Greek "fix" it's absolutely fine. I wish the serving of tzatziki was in a slightly bigger cup, there was not enough for the meal. The dressing would be 5 stars if it had a slight more tartness (vinegar).

Family lunch today! We loved the gyros, perfectly crisp french fries, and hummus! Parking on-site, order at the counter, and tables inside for dine in! Quick service and great food!

The Mad Greek reminds me of Chicago style food. This was my second visit and it was as delicious as the first time. I had the Combination Plate, gyros, pork and chicken skewers, Greek salad. Everything has great flavor and the pita was warm and garlicky.

I have been to the Kernersville location many times, as it used to be on my way home from work. I have gotten many items from the Kernersville location and the High Point location. I am glad my work's office location changed, as I can now get lunch from this place. My favorite items are the gyro, with the chicken, or the Gyro meat. Both are delicious and offer a nice change from the typical lunch fare of cheeseburgers and chicken sandwiches. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I also think this is a convenient place to grab lunch during a busy workday. The taziki sauce is always delicious, refreshing, and portioned well on their dishes; I often get some extra taziki and pita to take home as a snack at home or in the office. The house salad dressing is also phenomenal. It pairs so well with the feta and other toppings on their standard salad, I often find myself getting a side salad instead of fries, because the salad is that good! As you can see, the gyro is HUGE! Enough for lunch, and today it was even too much to eat in one meal! The chicken was overflowing out of this pita, which made it a little tricky to eat, but I do appreciate the portion size. I called in my order before I got there (to avoid waiting) and it was ready and on the counter for me. I will most definitely be back; the food is excellent, and the prices are comparable to those of other places in this area.

It's been a long time since I last reviewed Mad Greek, and ultimately, it's a place I still like to go even after all this time and with many new options open close by and in the greater Triad area. If you have staying power like that, you deserve a higher rating! Though I probably might find myself here just a few times a year, I tend to get the same thing because it never disappoints. The Mad Greek Salad topped with chicken souvlaki never fails me. It's a big salad, with lots of tender marinated chicken on top, and I do mean a lot. Gotta be more than one breast for sure, big meaty chunks with good seasoning. With feta, fresh veggies, olives, a their greek dressing... it's a staple for me. My wife switches things up, most recently going for a chicken pita wrap with fries. Same delicious chicken as my salad, but the fries are the kind that have a slight battering on the outside, making them crispy and yummy! It's a big place inside and has never really changed, which is totally ok. Prices have increased of course over the years, but are reasonable by today's standards. Mad Greek doesn't surpass my favorites, but it's reliable, and sometimes you just want a salad. I'll continue to find myself there occasionally, I am sure.

Walked in was immediately waited on. Was going to wait at counter, they said go sit down we'll bring it to you. Salad was delicious as usual. Very clean.

I love a good Greek salad! Mad Greek has a pretty solid one. The chicken is not dry, extra feta cheese, and a good dressing. Great place to sit and have lunch or takeout for lunch. People are friendly. Prices are fair for the portions.

This place is Amazing! We stopped by to eat and ended up catering for our family's party. The food is delicious, the service was great the atmosphere was just perfectI highly recommend it.

Thoroughly enjoyed my spannakopta combination, which came with a greek salad, onion rings, four pita points, and tziki sauce. The onion rings were fabulous, melt in your mouth fresh. This place never disappoints.

This is definitely my go to spot when I am craving some good Greek food. I have ordered lunch to go from here many times and I have never been disappointing! Today I got a gyro pita and a Greek salad. They definitely do not hold back on the meat on the sandwiches! They are such a great value for the price! Please don't make the mistake of leaving here without a Greek salad. It is probably the best Greek salad I've ever had. Lots of yummy toppings and the dressing is to die for. I think you can even take bottles of it home. Service here is super fast. When I make a phone call to place it to go order, the order is ready in 5 to 10 minutes every time. If you have not checked out Mad Greek Grill, what's stopping you?? They have a location at Palladium in High Point and one in Kernersville. Go check it out!

Very hard to find a spot that cooks the gyro lamb in this authentic style. The lamb gyro was unbelievably flavorful. Meat fresh and tender, complex spices, homemade tzatziki, and a fresh pita to wrap up all that flavor. Also had a Meze sampler with dolmas, hummus, spanakopita, falafel and a side salad. Flavor bombs! My wife said the falafel was one of the best she's ever had. Fresh and crispy on the outside, with a soft and well spiced inside. And the dolmas...you know when you have one that has hard rice inside that is dry and bland? Well this is the exact opposite. Soft and tender rice, juicy and tasty. Last but not least, the owners went above and beyond while we were in there. She was tending to us and making sure everything was to our satisfaction. He was in the kitchen but checked on us, and made sure to acknowledge us on the way out. Pure love pours into their food, and spills over to the customers. Don't miss this one. It's worth it.

It took over 20 minutes. Once we entered, we were greeted with "We're Closing soon. " it was 2:30. I explained about the parking hassle. She responded by huffing "I know." We got the gyro platter. Serving was pretty generous. With the gyro meat came 1/2 a boiled potato, plain. Rice (mushy) and green beans with tomatoes which was okay but possibly overcooked. The broccoli and Tzatziki were good. Our server counted out the register nearby while we ate. I asked about dessert, since we had already decided not to return. She said "I already rang you out." Dessert was hot and custard like. It was the best part. So the pricing wasn't terrible, the food was okay, and the service was questionable. If you want to try it come very early in order to find parking and hopefully better service.

Just a couple of months ago I was sitting in a gorgeous hotel in Athens for $80 a night eating a huge Greek hamburger and staring at the Acropolis out of my balcony window. As the clock struck midnight at New Year's Eve, I had the added Joy of watching fireworks soar over this iconic ancient site. What a memory! So, it seemed only fitting when Andy suggested Acropolis that we meet there for lunch. I literally had not been in that restaurant for a decade or two. As a matter of fact, when I first moved to Greensboro, I think it was the only Greek restaurant in the area. I remember in my early years at The Community Theatre of Greensboro meeting many a client at the Acropolis downtown for lunch. Although I rarely dined there for dinner, I was a big fan of their moussaka, Greek salad and some other Greek dishes. Although this place never blew me away, I always enjoyed the meal and I remember the owner. She was a pleasant woman, always happy to see me and very welcoming and proud of her restaurant. I have a feeling she no longer is around but she made a lasting impression on me. So, I returned to Acropolis a few days ago. Absolutely nothing has changed LOL. The décor looks exactly the same, the menu looks the same and the atmosphere is the same. That's not a bad thing, just an observation. I ordered a diet Coke to start, and although I like unlimited servings from the fountain, I was okay with Acropolis giving me a nice big bottle for myself. It got me through the meal! Their menu is inviting and reasonably priced. They have specials everyday and I was excited to have the Greek chicken. Unfortunately, when I ordered it they told me it was gone. I ordered the chicken souvlaki platter and it was very tasty. Instead of the rice I asked for a double serving of vegetables which they accommodated. The green beans were quite good We arrived at 1:00 p.m. and the restaurant closes for lunch at 2:00. Unfortunately, the place was not very crowded and so at 2:00 p.m. we were the only ones sitting in the restaurant. I felt the pressure for us to leave which I did not appreciate. They kept clearing our plates and at 2:05 they turned off some of the lights. I understand they wanted to go home but I don't think you should be rushing patrons out of your restaurant 5 minutes after the closing time if they are still in the middle of their meal or conversation. Just saying! Feeling like they wanted us to leave, we headed out. I have mixed feelings about the rating for this restaurant. On the one hand, I felt I was pushed out of the door after 2:00 p.m. I would have liked to have seen unlimited fountain drinks and I was turned off by Greek chicken being offered as a special of the day but being told they don't have any more. On the other hand, kudos to any restaurant that can sustain itself for decades and decades like Acropolis has. Now they are across the street from the baseball stadium. I also was shocked but pleasantly surprised that there was free parking on the street right down the block from the restaurant. In honor of longevity and being the first Greek restaurant to be brave enough to open in downtown Greensboro, I'm going to give them some kudos but would advise them in the future to give people a chance to enjoy their lunch or tell them when they walk in at 1:00 p.m. that they have 1 hour to eat and then they need to get out! LOL I would have to say that I do prefer places like Odeh's, Nazareth Bread and Mythos, but if you are downtown and want to experience a nice sit-down experience of a Greek meal from a restaurant that has stood the test of time, I would head to the Acropolis! It didn't compare to my sitting in my hotel room in Athens, staring at the real Acropolis on New Year's Eve, but I had an enjoyable lunch and very enjoyable company!
