So much fun! We came with a group of 8 so we had to split into two separate rafts due to each only holding 6 people but it was kind've like a fun little race! The guides were funny and you can tell they have a great time working with one another. Photos are taken while you're going through one portion of the River and are available to purchase afterwards. I got to "ride the bull" and failed horrendously. Sorry, Marco! They also have a nice changing area and gift shop to change into dry clothes afterwards. Make sure you wear water shoes!

10/10 recommend white water rafting here!! Our guide Stiles had around 8 years experience as a guide on this river and the other tour guides were very experienced as well! They know exactly how to navigate you through these rapids. Such a fun family activity! You will get completely soaked of course and it's worth it. The company takes pics along the River and you can purchase after youre off the water!

PBC fellowship at Raft 1 Oconee White Water Rafting was a AWESOME experience ! All day long was excitement of just being splash by the water off the river. Hitting the rapids being splash ! Awesome time. We took the upper and middle trip. Our guide John P was the best. He kept it interesting, provided some local knowledge of the river and made sure we got as wet as possible. He is an excellent guide. There are no negatives to this trip. I didn't really need any kind of bug spray it was sunny and 92 but you're in and out of the shade so didn't really have any big chance to get sunburned, water felt nice and cool.....everybody was excellent to deal with from sign in right through purchasing your pictures at the end. The locker rooms were clean and better-than-expected... Raft naked it will give you rosey cheeks!! We will definitely go back again. KB

Went white water rafting on my trip to North Georgia, it was only 40 minutes from where we were staying. This was hands down one of the best experiences of my life. Our raft guide "Yak" was super knowledgeable and gave off such a great energy. Will absolutely be coming back during season and specifically request Yak.

I can't believe I'm 47 years old and had never been whitewater rafting before!! This was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. The scenery was beautiful, the trip itself was thrilling, and what really made it extra special was our guide, David. As someone who creates magical experiences for a living, I can tell you that David and his passion for what he does truly elevated our overall experience. I was on our annual family vacation and all eight of us were elated by our trip down the river. Thank you Ocoee Rafting and thank you very much, David!! We will definitely be back next year and this time we'll book the full Ocoee River trip!

One cup of coffee, a two hour car ride, and we're going white water rafting? My enthusiasm was evidently lacking, but as part of my best friend's bachelor weekend I made it a point to act enthralled. Ducktown, Tennessee - aka the land of no cell phone reception. We arrived at the site, where signatures were required, documents were written up, and gear was passed out to us trailblazers. After a generic rules/safety speech by Matt (our impending guide), about 40 of us hopped on a school bus and drove 15 minutes to the Ocoee River. The next two hours on the five and a half mile trail weren't a blur, but more like a surreal experience. One where I couldn't fathom the beauty of the river, the expertise of our guide and the fact I was actually white water rafting all at once. Matt had us go over our responsibilities before we hit the water: paddling techniques, safety instructions and how to respond to his commands. And I think we did a fairly good job at following them, except for the "lean left" call. There's just so much I can say, I could truly compose a novel of our adventure. The dips, the turns, the ferocity of the Rapids, the crispness of the water, the smiles on our faces - I will always remember this experience. Matt's incredible knowledge of the Ocoee and his rafting talents made for a remarkable journey. We all had an outstanding time and we were surely wiped out the following day. WOULD RECOMMEND to anyone who's up for a little spice in their life. Five river rafting stars, guys.

Okay..... just okay !!!!! Well you clearly were not with The most AWESOME RAFTING COMPANY ON THE OCOOE!!!! These guys are the best ever!!! Whether you are a rafting virgin or a seasoned veteran this awesome group of guides will never ever let you down!!! Whatever you do you make sure you ask for Colby as your guide!!!! Only if you want endless laughter, followed by romance, mystery, and a little science and local history this is the guide for you!!! All other guides are equally entertaining with their knowledge of the locals and banjo tunes.... But sadly pale in comparison to Our guide Colby .... Dont get me wrong you'll get to the bottom of the river. But you might be the Show. With Colby you get to watch the show and do all the cool tricks on the way down the river!!!

This was my second time rafting with Ocoee rafting, and again it was a wonderful experience!! The facilities arebeautiful & clean. Our guide was Yak Martin, he was awesome. I did both the middle and upper, and both have their awesome parts. Next time I'm going for the full river!! read more

This was seriously the best time I have experienced in a looooonng while! As I started off the day SO psyched for what the Ocoee had to offer, the staff and guides at Ocoee Rafting kept my psych high! All of the guides were ready up to the challenge of impressing my "No Fear" personality, and they sure did! As I made my way through the Ocoee, we approached "Hell's Half Mile," and my guide Yak suggested that I bull ride. For anyone who is unaware of what bull riding is, it is when you sit on the front of the raft and basically hold on for dear life to a rope located at the front of the raft. I knew that I was going to fall off, and I did... ending up UNDER the raft and let me tell you, that was the WORST place to get stuck under the raft. "Hell's Half Mile" is definitely not the place to enjoy a casual swim. All that was spiraling through my mind was "GET YOUR FREAKING TOES AND NOSE UP." This just shows how well the staff here prepares you for any accident that could possibly occur. I mean, this is white water rafting!! I finally came to the surface and my toes and nose were above the surface- that's for sure! As I got back into the raft, my psych towards rafting was still with me... and I must say, it is still with me the day after the trip as I cannot wait to conquer the upper part! Definitely the place to book a great day of rafting.. and you can even book zip lining (recommended) through the same company. read more

Once I finished my trip down the Ocoee River, I was ready to get right back on it! Reservations are required ahead of time and waiver must be signed. Once you arrive, you are asked to keep everything locked in your car. The company will keep your keys in a safe location while you are on the Rapids. As for shirts, they are required to keep the life jackets sanitary. A tank top will do just fine as a shirt. You are given an adjustable helmet, life jacket and paddle. You are given a safety speech, which is important but kept humorous. You meet your guide and then board a school bus. You take a quick ride up to the top of the Rapids and unload. You and your guide board the raft while on cement and go over different important things for during the ride. After, you walk the raft to the water and get in, your adventure begins. From clever names for each rapid, to the guide's knowledge of many different aspects of the surrounding nature. I've never experienced anything so beautiful. Our guide was Weston and I plan on requesting him as my guide as soon as I can return! The other guides and staff were all very nice, welcoming, and funny. The cool refreshing water was great. We were allowed at one point to jump in and swim around for a while about halfway through our trip of the Rapids. There is no reason to worry about getting back in the raft as Weston pulled us all in with ease. This was by far my favorite vacation. I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone. Other guides to request are Emily and Adrian. A few other notes. They have a large range of water shoes available for purchase for $11, cheaper than the ones we had bought. They have many different shirts for purchase also. $21 for short sleeve and $25 for long sleeve. They all have different designs and are worth the price. I love my shirts and wear them often. This is a great experience. read more

I wasn't sure what I was going to do, so I stopped in at the Cooperhill Brewery the night that I arrived & met Caleb, my guide. He said to contact Raft1 and book a raft for Thursday or Friday and ask for him as my guide. There was only one other person in my group who was rafting solo, so I actually ended up in a four-person raft with two guides. Lily was the perfect balance to Caleb and helped me feel confident. I just followed her lead, did what she did, and we had the best time. Caleb was the perfect guide. He's a great storyteller. He obviously has a great sense of adventure, but he was also concerned for our safety. He kept us laughing, too. After my raft experience, I did a zip line tour with Jamie and Weston. (Sorry, Jamie, for slamming into you on one of the zips!) Weston and Jamie were fantastic guides. They seemed genuinely interested in helping me have a positive experience, being concerned for my safety but also helping to stretch me to do things that seemed terrifying at first (you know, like jumping off of a perfectly good platform). I can't recommend Raft1 highly enough. I wished I lived closer so I could come back more often! I loved every minute!

He did a great job of giving us directions on how not to wipe out on the Olympic section of the river. The lunch that was included was good. There was no snacks or water on the boat. There was really hot. They have showers, changing rooms and bathrooms which are very clean after you get out of the river at the outpost. It was packed on Sunday we couldn't even sign up for the zip lining.

Everything from start to finish was top notch as with previous visits. We were lucky enough to get Stan as our guide, and he was incredible. Entertaining, very informative, and knew the river like the back of his hand. However, when we got home to purchase some of the pictures, we saw that a) there weren't that many of them b) there were 13 pictures of our assistant guide in the separate single raft! C)Two pictures were just of water. Not very many action shots as I saw of the other groups that day. Pretty disappointing as we really have no decent pictures for souvenirs. Stan was great, but I'm not sure if we would return. Still up in the air for next year.

I would give 20 stars, sadly...it won't let me give more than 5. Me and my younger brother have a "no fear" attitude when it comes to something that may be dangerous. We never try to stress and always laugh it off when something bad happens. And you wouldn't believe it if I said it but our guide had the exact same attitude we had. He was always calm and relaxed, even in the most dangerous holes and divits. And also his name was exactly like my name:Spencer. Sooooo that might have been another reason why we got along. And if you feel reckless and have no fear like me and my brother, ask your guide about "bull riding." If you got a good guide, those two words will make your ride 10 times better orrrr worse‍. What a blast from beginning to end! We enjoyed the middle run of the Ocoee! Our daughter and her husband got to do the morning trip while we enjoyed our Grandson and then they insisted we attend the afternoon trip after rafting down the Ocoee with the best guide David! We were lucky enough to get David, for our afternoon trip and we were not disappointed!! David made sure we got to experience all the rapids and fun the Ocoee has to offer, taking the time to explain the history of the river and our surroundings. All of the folks at the Ocoee Rafting were very nice and accommodating. Everyone I met there seemed to really enjoy what they do and enjoyed making you feel welcome. This was probably the most exciting thing we did on our vacation. We have never been whitewater rafting before and we had a blast. They offered a package with zip lining and the rafting which made it very affordable. The facilities were super clean and very elegant for a rafting office. Our rafting guide, Squirrel was amazing! We totally felt safe with him, we was very knowledgeable about the river, the scenery, the local cities, just a wealth of information. We saw many of the other rafting companies and quite frankly their equipment left a lot to be desired. Ocoee Rafting's gear was all new looking, the busses were much newer and well maintained and of course the bathrooms at the office/gift shop were as clean as mine at home! read more

My family and I went rafting today and had a blast! It was my mom's first time and the trip was enjoyable for both her and the rest of us who have gone rafting a few times before! We had Bill as our guide and he was so fun! He made the trip more exciting and had lots of jokes along the way. If you can, purchase the photos afterwards! UNPROFESSIONAL and UNSAFE! We went with a different group down the ocoee and had a wonderful experience but the guides at Ocoee rafting were constantly trying to get in between our group. The groups try to stay together for safety but the Ocoee rafting guides continued to get between us and even got in front of my daughter's boat and purposefully and successfully knocked out everyone in her boat. One of the men even lost his wedding ring. The guides were so RUDE and UNSAFE! I've never seen anything like this on the river - it was ridiculous and ruined our trip. read more

Our team had Eddie and he was the best guide you could've gotten out there. For starters, he sounded just like Matthew McConaughey which was a bonus and he looked like Ryan Gosling. He was full of energy and so was our group so we just had a great time together. He also sang along to our songs with us and he has the voice of an ANGEL. He is truly fantastic if you go on this rafting adventure you have to make sure that you ask for Eddie (or just listen for the voice that sounds like it should be saying 'Alright, alright, alright!') read more

I have rafted all over the eastern and southern US and by far this was the most modern and clean facility I have ever seen for a rafting company! By far the most efficient outfitter we have used! The guides were all nice but we had the best trip with Will!! He made the the trip down the middle Ocoee our best rafting experience to date- we will definitely be back for the full trip!!!! read more

Great service and gear. The guides are top notch; well trained and knowledgable of the area. Our guide Jeffrey was awesome, he kept us safe while giving us a great adventure and he is also pretty funny. When we go again, we will go here! read more
