    Trash obstacle course

Absolute below bare minimum horse care and staff will forget to feed your horse. The staff does not care about your horse and has zero idea of what basic horse care actually is. My mares pasture was COVERED in rocks, trash, and exposed rods, concrete blocks, and was the poop pile. I was so embarrassed taking anyone to see my mare because of the conditions of the place itself. If you notice - none of these reviews are current. My mare constantly was getting injured from all the dangerous articles in the pasture. Staff would forget to feed your horse and Chris wouldn't give any sort of apology unless you asked for one. Just beyond unprofessional and a terrible way of running a business. Chris cares more about her dogs (which the kennels are in disgusting condition with green water and emancipated dog). Her dog field had lights and grass, but the horse pastures have rocks and the arenas dont have lights. Photos below of the horrible conditions my mare lived in. Also photos of the "obstacle course" but it's just a bunch of trash put in an even rockier pasture as a selling point. If you want your horse to live better, you have to actually do the work yourself. I spent several hours one day pulling weeds and removing rocks. The arena is never dragged, maybe once a month. And is completely rocky. My mares pasture gate was left wide open and the staff blamed it on another horse (they were putting up fencing in the pasture and couldn't own up to this mistake.) Chris called my mare "special needs" because my mare needs grain. And continued to called my mare special needs to insult her and myself. Save your money and please don't board here. I have had such a horrible experience and my mare paid for it in constantly getting stabbed and injured from all the rocks and exposed steel rods (that was never fixed.)

She would jump on people and counters, pull her leash when going on walks, and would go crazy when around kids and dogs. I chose SDT in hoping her habits could break. Andres was her trainer for 8 weeks, after getting her I did notice a big change in her. Shes a lot more confidence, is not as shy around other dogs and knows to control herself when around my nephew. Now I go on no leash walks with her and even runs, her recall has gotten better. I can take her to public places without worrying. Thank you SDT team and to Andres.

We watched tons and tons of videos and things got slightly better but we really didn't see much behavior change until we worked with Andres. It's not that information online was good enough, it was that we didn't understand how to best execute the information. We also didn't know what information was good and what was garbage. Having Andres in our corner was truly helpful. He would answer any questions we had and I enjoyed his teaching style and his ability to breakdown concepts to us. He also genuinely loves the dogs he trains which made us feel comfortable leaving Daisy with him when she did board and train for a few weeks. Thanks for every Andres!

I cannot sing the praises of Michelle enough! When Monty returned from two weeks of Board and…read moreTrain with Michelle, he was a changed dog. He's not just a calmer dog, he's a CALM dog. We've had no out-of-control barking incidents; he can be tethered and remain quiet. He's very good on walks, moving from "heel" to "break" and back to "heel" again. He's very responsive to the "off" command, which we use primarily to keep him off the furniture and out of the kitchen. Last week we had friends over for dinner and after his initial excitement he was a good boy, lying nearby content and chewing on a bone. We even attended the Humane Society Walk for Animals at Kit Carson Park, and with hundreds of dogs and people and non-stop activities, he was again a very well-behaved boy. We are so appreciative of the work that Michelle did with Monty. He is now the dog we always hoped he would be - happy, well-behaved, and living his best life!

The moment Chewie saw Chris, he recognized him and greeted him with such joy! Minding his manners of course. He's too smart to behave like a brat in front of his trainer. I recently reached out to Chris for advice on redirecting Chewie when greeting people since he sometimes forgets his manners and has no sense of personal space. Chris took the time to demonstrate effective techniques and offered practical solutions I'll be implementing right away. Chewie and I are incredibly grateful for Chris's continued support and the excellent training from Cosmo K-9 Obedience. Chewie has come a long way. I can't image life without the professional guidance and support from Costco K-9 Obedience.

Our dog came back calm, orderly, and OBEDIENT! After a month long stay and many many wonderful updates multiple times per week we are confident he has made at least a 90% improvement on his bad behaviors and is able to calmly behave not only around us but his reactivity to other dogs has made a tremendous improvement. Shannon and Sierra are STELLAR! I'd also like to mention they did a home drop off for us (since I'm still heavily pregnant) and spent over an HOUR with my husband and I going over all of the new things he has learned + even took a walk with us in the neighborhood to address another issue we had with reactivity. We were left with a sheet of all his new & enforced behaviors to keep track of along with super chewer toys and treats. Excellent, excellent, excellent experience with this team and I highly recommend anyone who needs this service to pull the trigger and go for it! You will not regret your decision!

Unfortunately, my experience today with the new groomer was completely different. From the moment I walked in, this new groomer was unexpectedly rude and unfriendly, despite this being my first interaction with her. I was only there for a few minutes and couldn't believe her terrible attitude. Although I'd been a previous client, she couldn't find my information in the system and refused to believe I'd been there before. She also didn't believe me when I said I used Tina, as if I was lying. Thankfully, the other employee there confirmed that I had. I finally had to confront her rudeness, in which she then threw me an eye roll. The way I was treated, for the few minutes I was there, was unnecessary, uncomfortable, and, honestly, left me embarrassed for the company. It was also a waste of my time. The manager I spoke with should have done more, but was spineless in dealing with this new, mean employee. It's disappointing because I've had positive experiences here in the past, but to me, customer service also reflects how she'd care for my dog, and there's no way I'd leave my dog with her. Sadly, after today's experience, I will not be returning.

From the very beginning, Misty was incredible. She carved out time weeks before the wedding for us to meet each other and talk about our dog's (Louie) temperament, our expectations, and the full game plan for the big day. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was prepared and genuinely cared about making everything go smoothly. On the wedding day, she was amazing. She arrived early to the Airbnb and was able to get used to walking and handling Louie. She walked Louie down the aisle, handled him and helped him greet guests during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and kept everything completely stress-free for us. She kept us updated via text throughout the day, and when it was time to drop him back off at our Airbnb in the evening, she sent photos and updates so we knew he was settled and happy. She even left us the sweetest wedding gift, which was such a thoughtful touch. Misty was kind, professional, organized, and clearly loves what she does. We are SO grateful for her and would absolutely book Dogs on the Run again. Highly, highly recommend!

He LOVED our dog, she loved him. Carter and his wife were hooked and accepted her with open arms. The day to leave was here. She got a bit anxious seeing our luggage. My husband drove her a short distance over and dropped her off. She loved it, and they were so loving right back. We had updates regularly, both in email and pictures. It looked like she was on vacation. We are booking again for Thanksgiving this year. Unfortunately, Carter is not available, but they connected us with Madeline. We already know that this is going to be a great experience for Madeline and our pup (6 yr old at that time).
