We were recommended this place by another dog mom at the dog park who also went through the training and has a very well-behaved doggo. Our dogs - Gojo and Benji - came home more obedient, calm, and confident -- they now respond to commands, walk beautifully on leash, and no longer jump on people or fight with each other. The dog trainers at IQK9 in Valley Center are amazing -- you can tell they truly care about every dog and have years of professional dog training experience. The whole process was easy, clear, and very well-organized. They even trained us during pickup so we understood how to stay consistent at home. This made all the difference because it is so important for us to continue their training at home to instill everything they learned. Our dogs absolutely loved their trainers and were so happy the entire time. If you're looking for obedience training, leash training, or dog behavior correction in Valley Center or North County San Diego, we 10/10 recommend this place!

IQ K9 has genuinely changed our lives, as well as our dogs' lives. We dropped off 2 very reactive…read moredogs that were out of control on walks, in the car, etc. Our male dog was also beginning to growl at our toddler and another adult in the home. After their board and train, we picked up 2 dogs who could walk past other dogs without reacting, obey commands, and were overall in a more relaxed state of mind. IQ K9 has provided continuous training in our home and out in the real world. It's not just the training of dogs that they do well, but the training of owners and handlers. We have learned so much and our relationship with our dogs has done a complete 180. We are so grateful to Stani and her team and cannot recommend them enough.

He was fearful of most people, especially men. He was stubborn on leash, and was most often not responding to commands. Lori's effective approach, focused on trust, building his confidence and teaching him how to properly behave with other dogs and humans. The 3-week stay he had at her place made an unbelievable difference. Diego's fear of people has drastically decreased, his confidence grown exponentially, walks are super enjoyable with him heeling constantly, and he responds reliably to commands. Lori not only trained Diego but also empowered us with the skills to continue his progress. I am so grateful for her expertise and highly recommend her to anyone struggling with their dog's behavior. She has transformed our lives and Diego's! Thank YOU Lori!

They seemed to get along but they started having fights, which were getting worse and more intense every time. We made the decision to bring them to Happy Feet and they came home with the skills they needed to see us as the leaders, rather than fighting each other for that role. We bought the recommended climbs/cots and the difference in their behavior is incredible. If they're begging, getting too rowdy, barking at a guest, and before meals, we put them on their climbs and they don't get off until we tell them they can. They are so well behaved now! The amount of training Happy Feet was able to do in two weeks with them would have taken us months or even years. It has been over a year since we brought them to Happy Feet and they still know all of the commands that they were taught. They haven't had any more fights and are actually great friends now! I highly recommend Happy Feet to anyone who has a dog with any behavioral problems. The climbs are really just the greatest tool, the dogs feel so comfortable and safe on them and everyone comments on how well behaved they are.

I cannot sing the praises of Michelle enough! When Monty returned from two weeks of Board and…read moreTrain with Michelle, he was a changed dog. He's not just a calmer dog, he's a CALM dog. We've had no out-of-control barking incidents; he can be tethered and remain quiet. He's very good on walks, moving from "heel" to "break" and back to "heel" again. He's very responsive to the "off" command, which we use primarily to keep him off the furniture and out of the kitchen. Last week we had friends over for dinner and after his initial excitement he was a good boy, lying nearby content and chewing on a bone. We even attended the Humane Society Walk for Animals at Kit Carson Park, and with hundreds of dogs and people and non-stop activities, he was again a very well-behaved boy. We are so appreciative of the work that Michelle did with Monty. He is now the dog we always hoped he would be - happy, well-behaved, and living his best life!

I honestly don't know how to fully express my gratitude to David and his team at Performance K9…read more My dog, Pooka, is a German Shepherd who is almost nine years old. He has always been high-strung and reactive, and he was aggressive toward both strangers and other dogs. Every daily walk was spent in fear and constant tension, and I had almost given up hope that he could ever change. By chance, I was talking with ChatGPT about my dog, and it recommended Performance K9 Training and Boarding School as something worth trying. To my surprise, Pooka passed David's interview and was accepted into the program. After just three weeks of training, Pooka is a completely different dog -- a calm, obedient good boy. I no longer have to be on edge every time I take him out. To make sure the change was real, I stood with him outside a busy grocery store. With people coming and going all around him, Pooka showed no fear or agitation, and he did nothing to embarrass me. He was as calm as if he were at home. I could hardly believe it. David truly lives up to his reputation as a world-championship-winning trainer -- he understands dogs and genuinely loves them. I'm also very grateful to Sabrina, Julia, and Christina, who are warm, responsive, and attentive, and who make clients feel welcome and at ease. Once again, thank you to David and the entire Performance K9 team. I highly recommend them to anyone reading this review. If your dog has problems like Pooka's, go to Performance K9 -- it is worth every penny. Hui and Lucy

We toured their house prior to Grayson's stay and it's well kept, clean, with great big yards both front and back. Grayson came home more obedient, learned how to dress before going outside and "get naked" after going outside, load in and out of the car, ring a bell to let us know when to go potty, "touch," sit, down, and the biggest thing for us is he's more comfortable in the car and listening to music (he used to bark at music like crazy). He doesn't pull on his leash as much and walks are more comfortable and less stressful. Grayson even got socialized with other dogs and cats! He does not bark as much anymore, which has been great for my nervous system Grayson got a bath before he came home and came home with a wonderful goodie bag.
