She keeps a cool head and always has a huge smile on her face, I felt as if I'd known her for years after the very first meeting! She helped every step of the way, from planning, to suggesting vendors like the DJ and officiant, to helping with set-up and adding her own little touches to the tables. On the day, Lindy helped calm me down when I was nervous, kept everyone in touch among the two parties when we were getting ready, but while she worked she stayed so under the radar, quietly and almost unseen just cleaning up and making sure everything was running smoothly; I cannot sing Lindy's praises enough! The venue itself is sublime - rustic, beautiful, intimate but open and with plenty of space for any party. We had around 50 guests which is way below capacity but the way Lindy and her team arranged the tables made it feel just right. For a fairly cold evening (January wedding), the fire pit and the two heaters they provided were most welcome! We even had a most welcome and blessed visit from site cat Ninja who was a big hit! Everything was just utterly perfect, all our guests said this was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. You can pull up any size trailer in the large dirt parking lot, and walk your horse on it! It is open from sunrise to sunset, although I am here at sunset and don't see anyone coming to lock it. There are no lights, so it will be pitch black at night, and be warned there are TONS of coyotesat night in this area. The arena is also overgrown with weeds and plants in the middle and on one end, but it is still usable; definitely worth it if you don't own an arena of your own. There is also a Caballo Trail next to the arena, and the Humane Society of Escondido.

I rode mountain bikes out there with a couple of my girlfriends today. The trails are really fun, not too technical for bikes. Some absolutely beautiful view points especially along Boulder Loop. Unfortunately, we were moving too fast to stop and take a photo there, but we did get a selfie in front of the lake! There are porta potties at the parking lot and there are also some little bathroom houses inside the park. No running water though so be prepared with your hand sanitizer if you're planning to use it.

When I found Charlotte at Salty Horse Stables, I was ecstatic to get one-on-one lessons that really taught me how to ride at a safe pace. She takes the time to get to know every student and their needs, and never pushes anyone to do something that makes them uncomfortable. A year in, I started doing small jumps in the arena - something I never expected I could do (or even knew that I wanted to do!), and I'm so grateful for Charlottes professionalism along the way. She is incredibly encouraging even on my worst days and cheers me on when I have my great days. I've seen her with children too, offering trails rides to build their confidence (which is how I started as well) and I love how she makes horseback riding fun. I'd highly recommend Salty Horse Stables for anyone, no matter what your goal may be!

The owners Ann and Frank are the nicest hardworking people you will ever meet. They are both 100% hands on people, and for that reason you get a family environment when you walk in the barn. The trainers have all gone above and beyond for our girls, they have a genuine care and respect for the horses and the riders. Our youngest is trying her hardest to one day be apart of the show team. She is being trained very well by all the trainers, especially Katie & Ann. They both take the time to teach fundamentals to make her a better rider. Our older daughter has a developmental delay, her trainer, Aurora is very patient but disciplined while keeping a calm presence. The barn has a great family oriented atmosphere, everyone has a great sense of humor and we're grateful we found them!

Horse escaped during our lesson and it was utter chaos; owner yelled at everyone once the crisis was over (including me) for not reacting fast enough. My child still rides; we live across the street from Miller but drive 30 minutes to a barn she loves with excellent instruction where I don't worry about her safety.
