When I found Charlotte at Salty Horse Stables, I was ecstatic to get one-on-one lessons that really taught me how to ride at a safe pace. She takes the time to get to know every student and their needs, and never pushes anyone to do something that makes them uncomfortable. A year in, I started doing small jumps in the arena - something I never expected I could do (or even knew that I wanted to do!), and I'm so grateful for Charlottes professionalism along the way. She is incredibly encouraging even on my worst days and cheers me on when I have my great days. I've seen her with children too, offering trails rides to build their confidence (which is how I started as well) and I love how she makes horseback riding fun. I'd highly recommend Salty Horse Stables for anyone, no matter what your goal may be!

I dropped in to check it out and Deer Springs Feed & Supply had exactly what I needed. They also had other things that I have appreciated picking up over the years, such as; solid toys for power chewers, horse shampoo for a shiny coat and barn jackets perfect for travel. Fast forward to the days of COVID. I had a lot to accomplish one day and I was heading to the gas station on my way home. I didn't quite make it and pulled in outside the shop. The owner appeared and assisted. I was quite embarrassed but the owner was kind. He ran to get a gas can and filled my car with a quarter tank of gas. I tried to give him money, but he would not take it. This was at a time when gas prices were on the rise. I was so appreciative of the kindness I received. I will always be a customer of this business because of this good deed. Sometimes I just stop by to purchase some dog treats or people treats from the fridge. This is a family run business and they really care about animals, people and their community. Not only did they help me as a citizen but they support causes such as the Teri Campus of Life down the road. Thanks Deer Springs Feed & Supply for your help that day and for services you provide to all. She keeps a cool head and always has a huge smile on her face, I felt as if I'd known her for years after the very first meeting! She helped every step of the way, from planning, to suggesting vendors like the DJ and officiant, to helping with set-up and adding her own little touches to the tables. On the day, Lindy helped calm me down when I was nervous, kept everyone in touch among the two parties when we were getting ready, but while she worked she stayed so under the radar, quietly and almost unseen just cleaning up and making sure everything was running smoothly; I cannot sing Lindy's praises enough! The venue itself is sublime - rustic, beautiful, intimate but open and with plenty of space for any party. We had around 50 guests which is way below capacity but the way Lindy and her team arranged the tables made it feel just right. For a fairly cold evening (January wedding), the fire pit and the two heaters they provided were most welcome! We even had a most welcome and blessed visit from site cat Ninja who was a big hit! Everything was just utterly perfect, all our guests said this was one of the best weddings they had ever been to.
