Traveled to Plano Texas last week from San Bernardino, Ca. Although this resturant is located in a strip mall it is everything you would expect a fine dining establishment to be. The atmosphere is very soothing, service is excellent and the food is amazing. We tried almost everything on the menu as we were a party of 6 and I tell you everything was fresh, well presented and the taste was like non other. You won't regret ordering anything from this menu. This was our first experience eating Thai food and I tell you, the bar has been set high. I'd like to thank New and his staff for a wonderful, fun experience. The owner and staff were so friendly and they took the time to answer all of our questions and to guide us through an amazing dining experience. Can't wait till we go back in July. This will definitely be one of my first meals. Henrietta Burton, San Bernardino, California read more

This restaurant was recommended to me by my boyfriend. He's been here twice, this was my first time. The greatest part about knowing of this place is.. It's byob. I came with my bottle of wine and my boyfriend bought a case of beer. The food is great. I ordered the papaya salad and my boyfriend ordered Shumai pot stickers for appetizer both enough to share between two people. I ordered the three flavor fish for entree and my boyfriend ordered the green curry. We shared our dishes with each other and everything taste great. For dessert we had green tea ice cream which is hard to find since not everywhere offers it. The ice cream was a great end to a wonderful meal. Jay the server was great at welcoming us as we entered the restaurant. He was attentive and has good customer service. This place is fairly new and definitely worth coming back for more Thai foods! read more

This place has amazing Thai food. Best I've had in the Dallas/Plano area and I've been to many Thai places. Food: Good quality ingredients and excellent taste. We ordered Coconut shrimp appetizer, small Tom Yum soup, Drunken Noodles with chicken, and Ocean Cha Cha. Checked in on Yelp and also got free edamame. The Ocean Cha Cha had mixed seafood including one large beautifully cooked scallop. I wish there were more scallops in the dish because that one scallop was so good. Also, the food is actually really spicy here! I can handle very spicy food and level 4 was actually a good level of spicy for me. So if you can't handle spicy food, I would recommend getting level 1 or 2. We also ordered mango sticky rice that was great as well. Service: Attentive, servers were friendly and intuitive. They change small plates after the appetizer, so you can have a fresh plate for sharing entrees. Ambience: a comfortable conversational noise level, candles lit up with a pink rose in a vase at each table for dinner I like this place and want to return to try other menu items. read more

I'm a big fan of thai food and spicy food in general so I tried this based on yelp reviews. The waiters are very fast to fill drinks, get your order and answer questions. I tried 2 items at the restaurant and 1 meal to go. Crab and avacado spring rolls for the appetizer. Very tasty with a delicious dipping sauce. They come out temp hot so let them cool off some. The meal: I tried pumpkin red curry with seafood medley for an extra 4 dollars. the curry itself was very delicious and the perfect spicy ness 4 out of 5 on their scale. The seafood medley is shrimp, scallops, squid, and mussels. I liked them all, even the squid. My to go meal was duck red curry with sticky rice. Absolutely the best curry and duck meat I have ever eaten. It had pineapples to add to the flavor and the duck meat was tender and delicious. It isn't cheap but you get quality meat for the price. I got that level 4 spicy also. Definitely will recommend to friends and be a repeat customer. read more

WOW! Let's talk about speed and quality! I ordered delivery, prime time dinner time, and it got here in less than an hour. Super authentic Thai food! Their tom yum soup is as real as it gets, got the mushroom option and loved it till the last drop. The pad Thai is not overly sweet with the right amount of heat. Now the winner is their crispy chicken fried rice that is tossed in a chili paste ... wow ... is all I can say! It's safe to say I found my Thai place in town! read more

We ordered food from Oceanic Thai Kitchen few times and it was very good and arrived in time. Especially I like Tom Kha soup and Oceanic noodle. I could definitely recommend this place. read more

Delicious Pad Thai! I've ordered from here a few times and the food is always hot, delicious and exactly as expected. My go-to for Thai in my neighborhood. read more

I must say, this place is truly a hidden gem!! My bf and I moved to the Plano area a few months ago and have been looking for some really good and authentic Thai food. Thai is one of my favorite cuisines so I kinda have high expectations. Also my bf is half Thai so he's even pickier about it. We have tried a few places within the area and none have really impressed.. until we found Oceanic!! We have already been twice this past week!!! Great portions for an even greater price!! The service was AMAZING!! Very attentive and knowledgeable servers!! Place is very cozy, nicely decored and most importantly.. CLEAN!! So far I have tried: Thai Iced Coffee & Thai Iced Tea - Super yummy and very authentic!! Perfect balance of sweetness! Coconut Shrimp - Personally the coconut overpowered the shrimp for my taste but still pretty good. Tom Kha (Coconut Soup) - It was so aromatic and tasty! Three Favor Fish - Perfectly crispy tilapia drenched in sweet chili sauce (note: I suggest getting the sauce on the side to keep the fish nice and crisp) Pumpkin Curry - OMG!!! This curry was DA BOMB!!! Tasted very fresh!! Have not yet to try any of their desserts but I plan on it!! I just have to try and control myself next time and get dessert before the ITIS kicks in! *The food does take a tad bit longer to prepare compared to other places but very well worth waiting for!! read more

I'm on a mission to try every Thai restaurant in DFW. Oceanic marks number 52385 and it was amazing. I got the beef panang number 3 spice. Never disappoints. They have the good ice. lol Customer service was great. Everybody was really nice. The place is fairly small but it was beautifully decorated. read more

This is by far one of the best restaurants in Dallas. So clean inside and the food is clean and amazing!! I cannot believe that the restaurant is not full of people. Had several things and loved them all. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. read more

Oh my GOD we love this place! Ate there 2 nights in a row. They nailed my favorite and hard to find kow soi. The tofu dishes are just delicious. Food comes out piping hot and lightening fast. Great service. Fabulous menu. Super affordable. Portions are just right for a solid meal and small box of left overs. If 4 are dining, you can get 3 dishes with not much left at the end of the meal. We've eaten there 3 times now and have yet to be disappointed. read more

This place is great. Everything consistent and fresh. The chef has his own style that makes everything come out special and they are quite fast. I have tried other Thai food in the area and they seem to have the flavors down. read more

I ordered their lunch pad thai via DoorDash and it was perfect! I typically ask for medium spice whenever I go for Thai and sometimes I feel like there's no spice at all. Oceanic put on the spice and the portion was pretty hearty for lunch, so much so I got two meals out of it! Price wise it was pretty cheap so why four stars? Their plastic container bit me! Ok, not exactly but I slice my finger on the lid while trying to open it so that left me pretty salty. Also, no chopsticks for delivery orders. What his two thumbs and likes to eat pad thai with chopsticks? This girl. read more

We order delivery from Oceanic fairly regularly. By far the best Thai food I've has. The food and quality is consistent. And, they get the order correct each time! read more

I've only ever ordered take out from them (discovered during shelter in place) and I am addicted. Ordered several times and it's consistently amazing! The flavors are complex and everything is so fresh. Whole basil leaves. Perfectly cooked shrimp. I like that I can order vegetables instead of rice with the curry. Even the takeout presentation is well done- it's a bowl not a tub. If you like red curry try the pumpkin curry. Amazing. Excellent and highly recommend. read more

Had a good seafood meal here. Had spring rolls as apps and a mixed seafood dish for main course. Also tried the Pad Thai. Super! Finished with some green tea ice cream. read more

My wife and I have eaten in and done take out. We really enjoy the avocado fried rice with seafood and she loves the Kao Soi. It's BYOB, so we plan on bringing a bit of wine next time we go. Our biggest disappointment is the appetizers. The dumplings had an off flavor and last night we ordered the chicken basil rolls and whatever sauce they served with it was the ABSOLUTE worst thing I've ever put in my mouth. It smelled and tasted like industrial bathroom cleaner. I almost vomited. So, lesson learned - no more appetizers. Stick with what you know and like. Even though I had a partially bad experience, overall we really like the main dishes. read more

A quaint little Thai restaurant in a strip center just NW of the GB Tollway on Preston. Very reasonable prices and a huge menu of authentic dishes. Started out the evening with Tom Yum and Tom Kha soup, shrimp and chicken respectively. 5/5. Next was the crab and avocado spring rolls. 4/5 but they are fried and I thought they were rolled in rice paper. We shared beef pineapple rice 5/5, and ginger curry scallops 5/5. OMG this place is a real hidden gem!!!if they were open for breakfast I would be here tomorrow morning. read more

Food was just ok and nothing to brag about - I ordered the drunken Noodles and my friend ordered the yellow curry along with spring rolls. Service was decent as they would check and refill water before we had to ask. Not sure I would go back with so many other better Thai choices around Plano and Richardson. read more

I've had tom yom noodle bowl with tofu (spicy) and loved it. Their lunch dish comes with a choice of salad or crispy spring roll. I had the crispy spring roll and it was so delish. Some places that I've been to had crispy spring rolls that are greasy but this place was yummy~ so I ordered another one. My hubby got their chicken noodle bowl and he said it was also good. He had their fried rice before and he really liked it too. Very friendly service. Really like this spot. Definitely Recommended :) read more

This place not only service great food, but it offers excellent and very knowledgeable service. Ask any question about their dish, and the server will explain it in the context of real authentic Thai food. The food was extremely fresh. I had coconut shrimp and the shumai as appetizers. Both were excellent! The large shrimps had a very crispy and coconut-y crunch that were also very flavorful. The shumai was my favorite. It was not overcooked and you could taste all the ingredients complementing each other. For the entrees, I really enjoyed the Larb Gai and fried tilapia. The Larb Gai is NOT a lettuce wrap like how fusion restaurants often serve this, so ask for lettuce on the side, if that's how you still want to eat it. For the fish, I honestly thought the tilapia was just going to taste like any fried fish, but it ended up being a great Thai dish. Usually I just order pad Thai! Food here is spicy. Be cautious if you usually order dishes with 4-5 stars. Lastly decoration was very modern and beautifully made out. This is a great place to eat indoors with a small group, even if it may look small on the outside. read more

First time here and food was good. I enjoyed the crab fried rice, it was very fresh and had a nice spice to it. Took off one star because only one server during lunch rush and we had to wait a while to get her attention to bring us our check. I'd definitely return! read more

Good food, affordable price, great customer service. Came in to pick up a phone order, but the place was clean and well-maintained.

Very good thai food! We had pad kee mao, and it was one of the best that I have eaten in Dallas. We decided to try Oceanic Thai Kitchen on a whim, and we were very satisfied! The vegetables were well cooked and not too mushy, and the sauce had wonderful flavor. I ordered a spice level 4, and I was happy with the level that I received. It was appropriately seasoned and the onions were good and I normally don't care for onions that much. We also had mango sticky rice. The sauce was very good and the mango was great. The rice was a bit congealed, but still was good. I couldn't recommend this restaurant more! read more

Boo! Ordered on grub hub due to recommendations. Arrives an hour late. An hour! I had to reach out to them to find out there was a delay. Be aware! Edited. Grub hub blames the restaurant. The restaurant blames grub hub. In the end all I know is my experience was subpar. Hope they both get it figured out for other customers read more

BYOB! Ingredients are fresh and quality is good. Small space so you may have to wait. Loved the tom kha gai.

My dad and I came here for dinner after seeing other positive reviews and it did not dissapoint! We had a beef jerky for an appetizer; it was a bit on the dry side but tasted fine. The stir fried seafood was delicious and went very well with the rice. My dad said the seafood cha cha was also very good. The service was great and the restaurant is very clean as well. If I'm ever in the Plano area again, I would definitely revisit. read more

It was so yummm .. And spring rolls don't disappoint you.. Not to forget their various sauces that come with the apps! For the main course we had vegetarian lo main.. It was full of veggies .. Its a great option if you have a veggie on the table.. The tropical grilled salmon was worth the price.. Thai green curry was awesomely addictive.. And the fried rice was upto it's standards The place is clean.. Service is friendly and very fast.. Visit once and you will want to go again! read more

Oceanic Thai Kitchen - They have BYOB! Great place and great service! - Thai Near Me - Plano, Texas

In my view, it's consistently the best Thai in Plano. The menu has ample Gluten Free options for people who have Celiac Disease. The service is terrific and it's always a treat to eat their food. Make sure you try the brown rice - unlike anything I've tasted before...truly special. Don't hesitate on this one...give Oceanic Thai a try. read more

Great place near where we had some business. Spicy endamame was free with check in on Yelp. (Nice!) Thai wings with sweet Thai chili were crunchy on the outside, moist inside, and the sauce was good enough that we were dipping our endamame in it. My favorite question to ask the server when I eat in a new place: "If I only eat here one time in my life, what must I not miss?" I've never been disappointed. This was no exception. Without hesitation, she recommended the avocado curry and suggested shrimp for the protein. Home rum! Thanks for a great meal! read more
