No wonder I always see men coming in here. The past three times I've come in for a foot massage (I'm on my feet a lot for work) I can hear men in the other rooms getting much more than just a normal "massage". It made me very uncomfortable. And the woman who did my foot massage fell asleep for a few minutes and stopped, it was awkward. The previous time I gave the 'masseuse' (no professional training) a 25% tip and she seemed very disappointed that I didn't give more. Time to go somewhere else. read more

Great service...very professional ...Friendly ,They know what their doing... Clean, And very accomidating...I highly recommend this place...Yes an excellent vibe for sure..Quality 5 star read more

I've been coming here for quite some time, today I went in for a peaceful Mother's Day massage. I left completely disturbed and grossed out. Pretty positive someone in the next room was getting a happy ending. I will not be returning to this establishment, you've lost a customer. You hear about stuff like this, and maybe I'm naive, well today it was no question in my mind. Not the way I wanted to spend Mother's Day. You should be ashamed of yourselves. At least have private rooms so no one around can hear. Nasty. read more

I should of listen to the reviews, horrible. I made an appointment online and when I went in I was "greeted" but someone and I told her I had an appointment for the 30 min body and 30 min feet massage which was 60$ and she said to do the other service that was more expensive less time on the feet. I said no I wanted 30 minutes each. She then had an attitude and guided me to a room. She had me lay down with all my clothes on and I was facing up. I thought that was weird and started to massage my shoulders. It felt super weird and awkward. She then went to "massage" my feet and didn't really because she spent about 25 mins massing my shins. It was just and awkward and unpleasant experience over all. And at the even of all of that I still left at 5$ tip (I didn't think she deserved it) and she had the audacity to say "why not 10$" I said no thanks and walked out. read more

I have been to this establishment three times so far. When it comes to price and quality, this is one of my top spots. I had been looking around to find a thai massage place that would not break the bank, but still left me feeling relaxed well after the service is over and Oceanview Foot Massage is it! The ladies that worked on me listened when I asked them to focus on specific areas of my body and the price very closely aligns to the amount to the length of the massage. For example, a 60 minute massage is around $62. The price and quality matchup has been the best I have found this far. I was hesistant when I first came across Oceanview because most massage spots charge an arm and a leg for a decent quality massage, but Oceanview has succeeded my expectations and anyone looking for affordable pricing, excellent quality massage and a therapist that listens...check them out! You WILL NOT regret it! read more

I am traveling with my niece, and I called this place to schedule a foot massage for both of us, and I asked if they had time for 2 people in about 30 minutes, they said we could go in 30 minutes. We walked 30 minutes from our stay to get there under the hot weather since we didn't have a car available. We got there, and the person told me they didn't have availability. I questioned the call, and they told me the person who answered the phone wasn't at the place, so she didn't know the real schedule. Like, how? Why do they answer the phone and confirm availability if they don't know the current schedule? It was super frustrating since I called to confirm availability before taking the walk in the hot sun. We left without any apologies from them, and without a massage. Super bad customer service. I felt like a fool. I will never try this place again. read more

I wish I could give negative 100 stars My friend was so sweet booking me a massage I had a 1pm appointment I get there and see signs stating temperature check. I mask up and walk in seeing a lady with no mask on while doing her hair She then proceeded to tell me the appointment prior to me was late so it will be 20-25 minutes Ok She stated I can sit down I turn and walk out She never washed her hands continued to do her hair while touching pens and clip board on the counter The couch she wanted me to sit on was gross and it smelled I was disappointed and will never be back We're still in a pandemic This is why we're on lockdown people Clean up and be professional read more

I use to come here like twice a month it was great thus the extra star. Haven't been here for a while and today will be the last time. They raised their prices which is understandable under the certain circumstances. Being a generous tipper I was insulted when the lady at the front desk asked for more. She legitimately said "that's it?" I tipped 20% cause of the experience I had. My therapist was doing a good job but definitely got near to the no no zones quite a bit. So this is why I won't be back. I can't say for sure but I think the person next to me was receiving a happy ending. A lot of whispering then you can guess the sounds. I wasn't in the room so it's hearsay but it made me uncomfortable enough not to come back. As a man it's hard as it is to find a legitimate massage parlor that's not trying to "finish the job" so to speak. I think I'm gonna end up going to a higher end spot like massage envy or similar where it's a little more professional. It'll be worth the extra money. Really bummed this place went south. read more

So I went back for whatever reason to give it a try..you know curious,We got there, they asked can we come back in an hour apparently they didnt have anybody for 2..So we Said yes, and we kept our word. Got to the back.. Well Put it this Way I Will NOT BE BACK! read more

I think Amy broke my spine. She does not know what she is doing and used her arm bone to press down on the spine instead of on the side of the spine. Everyone should know you never press directly on the spine. My spine felt very weird the next day. It's still hurting. I think she caused damage to my spine. I strongly recommend against this place. read more

Ocean View Foot Massage - Massage Near Me - Long Beach, California

My husband and I tried this place out on a whim. We called to make sure they were open first. I'd recommend you do the same... Even make an appointment to make sure enough staff will be able to accommodate you. I did the 70 min regular massage and my husband did the 60 min oil body. They were basically full body massages. It turns out our massages were pretty much the same except mine was done in the community room and his was in a more private room (single bed with a curtain as the door). Also, mine came with a foot soak while my face, head, and shoulders were being worked on. Not sure why I got a foot soak... Maybe my feet were grungy cause she did use gloves to massage my feet (no gloves for hubby) ... But I thought it was a nice added bonus. Our massages went something like this: - lay on back - face massage (similar to one you'd get during a facial but better) - head massage - shoulder massage - arms - feet - legs - turn over and lay face down - back legs - shoulders and neck - back Then she threw in a little more on the arms, head and did some pressing and stretching. Although it wasn't the best massage I've ever had, pressure was awesome (a lot more firm than you'd get at other places) and 70 minutes was FOR SURE worth my $30. The two ladies that were there were very nice, but didn't speak too much English so be forewarned. read more

Great foot massage . Clean many options to choose. The one hour foot mAssage very good

I got a massage here yesterday and the massage itself was amazing. However, the service was terrible, the lady who massaged me took a total of like 6 phone calls while massaging me and walked away like 4 times and at one point had someone else step in to massage me. I was not too upset until the end when she asked me to leave her a tip, (are you serious) normally I am a big tipper, but this is ridiculous. Great massage but I suggest having someone else run the front desk or have someone else do the massage, it is not ok to multi-task while giving someone a massage then ask for a tip. I won't be back, Kind of sucks because the massage was on point read more

I had a really nice massage here today. 30 minutes feet and 30 minutes body. My masseuse did an excellent job on my sore shoulders and neck. And it was only $30. I will definitely come back. read more

So after reading the reviews, my wife and I were a little scared to go in for a massage but we decided to try it out anyways since we were at Signal Hill and this massage place was nearby. We went in for the full body couples massage and I believe our masseuses names were Amy and Amanda. I got Amanda and she was so strong! I had to tell her to go a little lighter. I don't know what the bad reviews are talking about because I had an amazing experience and so did my wife! When she stepped on my back, it felt amazing. My back cracked everywhere! It honestly felt so refreshing! I saw a post about them not removing their shoes before stepping on our backs and let me just say that at least it is not true with a Amanda and Amy. They both removed their shoes! Definitely was worth it and recommend ! read more

I love this place! Started coming in during COVID lockdown (during which they were following all protocols and to this day every massage therapist I've had has worn a mask during treatment). Usually they can take you pretty quickly as a walk-in, only had to wait a couple times and not for long, but you can always call ahead of time and they'll take you right away or give you a wait time. I have never booked a day(s) or week in advance so I can't speak to that. Parking is usually ample. Either in the front on Anaheim street or behind the shop through the alley. The facility is clean and maintained, I know for a fact they mop up the floors real good as I have come early before and the floors were still drying from being mopped. Never had a messy or unkempt room. I think I read people complaining about the smell of food. The rooms do not have full height walls so you can hear mild banter, the washing machine (you want clean sheets and towels right?) and smell food occasionally. I have no problem with this, they work hard, let them eat lunch. Prices are quite reasonable for the service you get, I usually go for the 60-90 minutes, have not been shorted on time ever. They have frequent visitor cards so regulars can get a free 30 minutes after like 10 visits or so. Have never been pressured to tip anyone. Funny though, it's sometimes hard to tell if they're joking when they tell you before you leave "come back, maybe tomorrow." Probably just a language thing. Ambiance is decent enough if that's your thing. A nice little fountain in the front lobby, very low lighting and soothing looped music. (The photos on Yelp are accurate.) Down to the massage! I've had the expensive sports medicine massage, I've had the multidisciplined private provider and your standard stripmall Chinese spot. Oceanview offers a damn fine full body massage. Never had problems with pressure or pain, though if you have any injuries or problem spots let them know ahead of time. Yes, there is a language barrier with pretty much every massage therapist, but simple words and pointing generally works. The lady at the front desk (I believe her name is Lucy) has the best English and should be able to help you out. Regardless they are good at noticing possible problematic signs like scars or lumps/cysts usually they'll ask if you're 'OK' before proceeding or avoiding. If walking on your back is in their repertoire they will ask you first if it's 'OK'. Sometimes the towels they use to clean the massage oil off of you can be kinda hot so I guess watch out for that. Overall Oceanview has treated me well. Affordable, reliable and effective body work. I always come out feeling better than when I went in, especially with the circulation around my calves and ankles. It's not some fancy day spa or Ivy League sports medicine practitioner. It's more of a chill spot where you can get the kinks worked out by your local body mechanics, and quite frankly that is something everyone needs in their life! read more

This was a 1st for my mother and I, we've never had massages done. I didn't know what to expect. I decided to surprise my mom ... She was very surprised as was I! Had a good laugh in the beginning, the owner told us to take off everything.... I said EVERYTHING! Lol she said OK to leave our undies on but everything else OFF. Haha... I thought to myself, Ok I can do that. I had some funky knots that hurt so much but felt so good when she was done with that area. The ladies were so nice and friendly. What a great way to start the work week! We both came out feeling so relaxed. We will definitely be coming back! read more

Let me just start off by saying that I really tried to like this place because they're local to my home plus very cheap! 1. I walk into the place and its an open floor with a lot of massage beds, no lighting except from the back door thats open and thats fine its suppose to have a great ambiance. They have a dirty floor made up of black and white tile. When I saw the beds and the filthy floor I should've left but I didn't. 2. So I choose a package, lay down and the lady who was clearly not licensed was nice but I asked her to ease up a bit because she was hurting me! I said "can you go lighter" She replied "lighter" and then went got a towel and wrapped my head (side eye) idk why this was done but any way she continued with my massage and I was literally in tears and just uncomfortable. 3.The massage tables are not comfortable at all my neck was pressed against the face area and no matter how much I adjusted myself each time she drove her arms into my back my neck would hurt from the face clamp on the table. 4. They talk amongst themselves in the open room while you're laying there. They turned on a loud faucet in the room. It was not relaxing at all! So in conclusion I got up, I had to end the massage after 20 minutes and they still tried to charge me $30 but I ended up paying $20 because I showed her what time I called and what time I came. I was not there long. I shouldnt have paid anything at all! BUT SAVE YOUR MONEY AND FIND SOME WHERE ELSE TO GO. I WILL BE GOING BACK TO MY ORIGINAL AFFORDABLE PARLOR. read more

The only reason I'm not giving a one star is because 1) I'm hoping I just got a bad masseuse 2) the poor lady was trying really hard and 3) I'm just a pretty nice reviewer I know what to expect at typical strip mall Chinese foot massage place. 1. A group experience with little tables, sometimes separated by a curtain 2. A gimmicky massage, not the best like In a spa but feels good and it gets the job done. Expect your butt to be touched 3. CLEAN facilities 4. Being asked to pay in cash 5. Background noise and talking If they do all those well, they get 5 stars from me (example- pampered foot massage in west LA) But here's what I got: 1. I asked for the foot massage and the lady looked at me like she had no clue what I was talking about.... Even after I pointed it on the menu 2. This was way different than any other massage. This lady had no training. It was like she didn't know the difference where muscles and bones were. It didn't hurt or anything, it just felt as though she didn't know what she was doing. There was no flow to the massage, she just would jump from one area to another... You know what I mean? If you have gotten a few massages before, you know what this feels like. I just felt totally uncomfortable the whole time. 3. The worst part. The lady kept getting up to do other stuff, like check on customers. Some other woman noticed that I was being ignored and started massaging my feet while she was gone (she was a better masseuse) Of course they don't add more time. Ugh 3b. Kind of a play off the previous. The massage claimed to be 15 min head, 30 min foot and 15 back. At least 8 min of the head massage she was just scratching or itching my head. I walked out of there looking like my hair had been through a tornado 4. The bathroom was gross. The only thing you had to dry your hands was a hand towel. No gracias Long story short, I won't be coming back. I'm glad for the other people that had good experiences but mine was awful. I am thankful for them being nice to me, but if you want skilled masseuses or at least a better Chinese foot massage place, you need to go somewhere else. read more

I don't recommend this place, Teddy is very aggressive in his approach and is not sensitive to your areas of pain. When you tell him to ease off, he is rude and goes on to say he is the best in the shop and knows what he is doing. Poor customer service, read more

Paid for the one hour foot massage and got a 42 minutes foot massage. No head, no hands and arms, no light back. Just feet. Nice people, but I walked in at 4:15. Was sat in a room till 4:32 and the massage was over at 5:12. That isn't a 69 minute massage. Nice people, but I deliberately checked my clock in my kindle when the massage started because I had been kept waiting so long! My back kinda hurts and my feet are ok. Owner offered more time next time I come in but I am far too embarrassed to ever come back in. read more

I stepped in today for a massage and experienced a poor massage service. I have been to so many different massage places in so cal area, but this place is the worst ever. The masseur's inability for speaking in English is not a big factor because there are many massage places where have same kind of issues. But the lady doesn't know what to do and how to do. From the first touch, to the ending, all session was unprofessional and unskilled. I read the reviews before I checked in, but the result was terrible. I strongly don't recommend this place. read more

My wife and I have been coming here for over a year and even though we don't live in long beach anymore its still worth the drive. The staff is always accommodating and they often squeeze us in even if we didn't have an appointment. The place is clean and organized. The owner is very nice and they always ask if you prefer a man or woman masseuse. We usually get the 60 minute full body massage for $40 including oil massage. I recommend this place highly for anyone looking for a good massage. The girls are always so friendly and professional. read more

I went here for a much needed massage after a stressful day at work. They had increased the prices by $10 I noticed on the board because the old price was crossed out. This place is NOT worth a $50 body massage. It's just a lot of pushing and rubbing around. I understand $50 is not a ton for a full body massage but I left feeling the same if not worse. I won't be coming back here again. I've always support small, local businesses and if they do a decent/good job tip well and will always come back. There are many other Asian massage parlors for a similar price that will do a much.better job. Finally DO NOT COME HERE. It's been a half an hour and I actually feel worse after the massage then I did prior. read more

My mom and I wanted a cheap full body massage so looked on yelp and found this place. Honestly, wasn't expecting much but we were both soooo impressed! The place itself it's okay, the front room reeked of cigarettes, so the first impression wasn't too good. We have gotten quite a few massages over the years but this by far one of the top ones! It was $60 for full body 90 min without clothes on and 100% worth it! I had Linda and my mom had Amy I think.. we both had such good massages. Thank you ladies!!! read more

Its sad when you leave having felt you could do a better massage than the professional being paid. SMH. I also couldn't help but feel the masseuse did not want to be there too. Usually i get gracious, humble almost shy vibes from these foot massage place masseuses....not this one...just got an annoying nasty vibe. She was younger and seemed out of place. Ive been to a few of these places and get massages a lot.i have a very stressful job and use massage therapy to curb that stress..this place was a HUGE waste of my time and i will not be coming back. I get massages on a weekly basis, so I know what is wrong and right. I tried this place as I was in the area. The lady I had didn't understand English and just kept shaking her head and saying "yes". So I tried several times that she was hurting me and she wouldn't stop. She was walking on my back with her Nike tennis shoes on, I asked her to take her shoes off and she just smiled. Finally 20 min into the massage I asked her just to lightly rub. When I was done I spoke with a manager who was very apologetic saying she was new, but the lady stood there the entire time listening to me talk to the manager and then walked away very upset when she realized I wasn't going to pay full price. I usually looove my massages here. They usually walk on my back and I leave feeling refreshed and energized. That was not what I experienced yesterday. A man and a woman was there when I came yesterday. She barely understood English and was rubbing my body as opposed to a massage. The guy came and sai he would finish the massage. He gave me a "decent" massage, but I felt like he was a little close in some parts of my body than I would have preferred. At the end of my massage, I felt a little violated and irritated because he demanded a tip when I didnt even do a full hour massage (35 minutes). The only way I will come back will be with a personal apology and I will only use Sonny. read more
