Mushrooms.
Michael T.

Overall, a pretty high-end restaurant that lives up to expectations. when we entered, we were greeted by around four different people welcoming us. Everyone was well dressed and polite. We were quickly seated after stating our reservation time in a table that was well decorated with birthday paraphernalia. We got the Teriyaki salmon, Chilean sea bass, blackened snapper, mushrooms, calamari. While all are recommended, I think the Chilean sea bass was the best. It was a nice and well-cooked fillet that was adequately savory and fatty, but not overtly so. It paired well with a potato mash and broccolini. I would recommend it, and it was $60. The Teriyaki salmon was OK but was not amazing. It definitely was tender and had an Asian taste to it, but nothing that made it stand out for $55. The mushroom side dish was also a highlight. There were about three different types of mushrooms, and I think they use a sauce that was based in butter. It was delicious, and I would order again. The calamari was lightly fried in a sweet chili sauce, again with a hint of Asian zing to it. I quite enjoyed it, and I thought this dish was unique and worth it. Ambiance was grand, fancy, clean, dim, yet adequately lighted. Service was on point. However, we did search for our waitress a couple of times, and the meals did come out quite slowly. I would say about 20 to 25 minutes. So if you were to come here, be sure that you are not in a rush. Overall, high-end restaurant. Dollar sign is justified.

Our server Angela B. was amazing, all of her recommendations were delicious and she's a vibe. Check her out ASAP. The attention to detail that is was my daughter's birthday was a special touch. Now onto the food....10s across the board!!!!surf and turf, Chilean sea bass, lobster Mac and truffle mac. Nothing needed seasoning or anything. Our entire table was apart of the Clean Plate Club lol . I love the option to valet park for a small fee but appreciate ample parking as well.

Went here recently to celebrate some birthdays. Its across from the Somerset mall and frankly I'd been intimidated about coming and actually tried to talk my way out of it. But they insisted if I liked seafood it was a must and they were right. I had a berries and bubbles smoking cocktail which was well-balanced and not super sweet. Crab cakes and oysters ( got over my oyster fears) and did grouper and bass for dinner. Sides are ala carte at $15 each for a good size portion. Seafood entrees were $55+ but well prepared. There are lots of steak options for non seafood . What i liked most is lately i find a lot of food to be overcooked and with the addition of sauces these were well composed dishes on a busy weekend evening, . Service was professional, top notch.

For the prices, everything (except the scallops) could've been better. First, I made reservations, and I still had to wait 10 minutes for my table, very irritating. The hostess stand is right when you walk in, and inconveniently located smack dab between the restrooms on the right, and the entrance to dining on the left, so there was always a traffic jam, crammed with people, and overall uncomfortable. Once you got into the dining room, it's nice, they sit you down and tell you a server is coming. Our server took ~5 min to come ask for our drink orders, and 5 minutes can feel like 20 when you're thirsty! We ordered the calamari & bread basket for appetizers. Although the flavor of the calamari was delicious, it wasn't hot and soggy, as if it sat too long while waiting to be delivered to us. The bread basket had some fancy crackers, pretzel sticks, and a small, soft loaf of bread, served with whipped butter. Um, if you're going to charge for a bread basket and put pretzels and crackers in it too, maybe serve something else other than butter. Personally I don't eat butter on my crackers or my pretzels. For our mains, he ordered the Grouper, which the plating was gorgeous & colorful, unfortunately the fish was over cooked, and the sauce it was served with was bland. I ordered the Ocean Prime salad and the surf & turf (appetizer version). My salad was soggy, like it had been pre-dressed and sat there for an hour, and I had exactly 2 slivers of green apple in it. The surf & turf was luke warm, the short rib was tender, but the sauce was one note, but the SCALLOPS were delicious and cooked perfectly, although cold-ish. Since it was his birthday, they gave him a free dessert, which he picked peanut butter pie. It was fluffy & rich, and I appreciate the gesture from the restaurant. We were there 2 hrs for dinner. I appreciate not being rushed, but there were several times I wanted something from my server, but she was nowhere to be found. Overall, for the prices they charge, I expect better food, tastes, service & total experience. Would I give it another chance, probably not.

What an absolute amazing evening! Let's start with the fact that our server was absolutely outstanding! Her name was Teal and she was not only knowledgeable on every single item on the menu and was able to speak in detail in terms of not only the ingredients, but your experience and eating it. She was also amazingly, friendly and attentive... Just the star of our evening! The food is delicious and the Troy location is absolutely fantastic. We appreciate the gorgeous atmosphere and approachable parking.

Pretty good restaurant. I had the calamari which was excellent. Then I had the house salad which was decent - not a fan of the cheese personally but the rest of it was good. Also ordered the teriyaki salmon which was pretty good. I ended with the carrot cake which was not my favorite - I am not a fan of the citrus glaze and the carrot cake itself was just ok. The service was not the best but we did have a large group. Overall, I would be back to try something different.

We had a lovely time at Ocean Prime! We came for a special occasion and they did everything possible to make it special! The service was 5 star all the way! The ambiance is beautiful! The food was AMAZING! and the drinks were top notch. It's pricey but you get what you pay for and this night was perfection! I would absolutely be back!

I'm a fine dining chef and I'm hard to impress. Ulysses our server was very attentive and treated us like royalty. We ordered bone in prim rib, lobster Mac n cheese and perfectly cooked asparagus tips with hollandaise sauce. Everything about this restaurant oozes easygoing elegance. The prime rib was the best I've ever had and the lobster Mac n cheese was creamy, rich and full of buttery lobster. That being said,Ocean Prime is not cheap. But I'd HIGHLY recommend taking someone you'd like to impress here. Even the ladies restroom was beautifully lit with scented candles and ginger air freshener. Ocean Prime is definitely worth the experience. Please treat yourself when you can.

Hmmm I don't think it's worth the price. Ocean prime is a pretty "fine dining" experience. However, I don't think the food is up to that. They use to be really amazing, but now I'm not so sure. The bread service should definitely be free as I didn't think it was worth the price. It was some pretzels, everything crackers and yeast like bread. It wasn't that great at all. Deviled eggs (order not by me) are ok if you like deviled eggs. The presentation was beautiful though. The tarte (order not by me) was good (I was told). Beautiful presentation. Scallops were not bad. My steak was kind of tough and not cooked well. It came out cold and for the price I paid, it wasn't up to par. The lobster tails were good. The only thing I enjoyed food wise. They did have some non-alcoholic cocktails that were enjoyable. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. I don't think Ocean Prime is my choice in fine dining restaurants.

I had a gorgeous meal with colleagues at Ocean Prime. We arrived just before the restaurant opens on Sunday. Others arrived prior to my arrival and were already shown to our private dining room. The space is beautiful, and the service was impeccable. Upon making reservations, we were sent a contract and selected options for a prefix menu that would be shared with all guests upon arrival. I loved the menu options we were offered to select for our guests. There was something for each of the courses to satisfy our co-workers whom each have specific preferences and sensitivities. Our personalized menu options, which are based on the total amount the party will spend, included: First Course: Crab Cakes Calamars in chili sauce Lobster Bisque Entree: Chicken with roasted tomatoes and spinach bread Filet Mignon with a potato cake and spinach Teriyaki Salmon with rice and veggies Dessert: Warm Butter cake Chocolate Peanut Butter pie Carrot cake We also had a tasty salad. Everyone was pleased with their meal. The filet was very flavorful, tender and just the right temperature. I also very much enjoyed the carrot cake and the Espresso Martini. Ocean Prime is a wonderful choice for event celebrations, dinner with family, or dining alone to commemorate any occasion.

Came for lunch and was very pleased with everything. Ambiance is nice. Service is friendly. Got their chop chop salad and it was amazing. Best salad ever. Loved the sourness and uniqueness of the dressing. Salad was packed with high quality protein like lobster and shrimp. All ingredient tasted fresh and high quality. Also got the salmon dish. I didn't taste it but family member enjoyed it. Would return to try other items on the menu!

Came here this past Friday to celebrate Valentine's Day and it was completely worth it. Our server was absolutely incredible. Everything we ordered was made to perfection from the drinks to the food. We started with an order of sushi rolls and a wedge said that they offered to split for us. On the side I ordered the Berries and Bubbles cocktail which was quite entertaining as bubbles and smoke flowed throughout the beverage as I drunk it. It was crafted and greatly enjoyable to drink. My boyfriend also love his cocktail too. As soon as we finished a cocktail or dish our waiter was there collecting our plates and preparing us for the next meal. He regularly checked on us and made sure our water stayed full. The entrees were the best part. I ordered the Chilean Seabass which was made precise as it merely melts in your mouth and was paired with smooth buttery mashed potatoes and broccolini. I enjoyed every bite and it was very plentiful. My boyfriend got the ribeye steak medium well with the Gouda tater tots. He loved every once of his tender steak and thought the tots were tasty with a unique twist. The mood is very romantic with dim lighting and white table clothes which gave a more eloquent vibe. It was a perfect romantic date spot. We were so glad that we decided to give this place a try for a special occasion. For price and quality it was a perfect 10. I highly recommend, you will not regret it.

There were some tables and high tops but there also was lounging type areas. That is where our group hung out for the evening and it was perfect. We all could talk with one another but still able to enjoy our drinks and food. Our waiter was amazing. I wish I caught his name. But we were a rowdy bunch and he handled us professionally and was friendly. My only complaint was not filling waters enough. But other than that drinks and food came out pretty fast. 54 W. has a collaboration with Mojave Cantina for food, so you can't go wrong because Mojave is delicious! Drinks and food were all tasty! The place has their own bathrooms - two unisex single stall restrooms. Not sure if it was the big group and I missed it? But didn't know if they had a drink menu? Food menu was a QR code and our waiter brought over hard copy menus from Mojave. A very cool place and great for drinks or celebrating.

We sat at the bar and had to wait a while before even getting menus. This kind of service continued for the rest of the night and we honestly felt ignored and forgotten. Once we got our food (we ordered the Tacos Mexicanos) we had to wait again for silverware. The bartender never came by to check on us after receiving our food so we ended up having to flag down a different server. And then instead of being able to ask the bartender for a margarita, I had to flag down a different server AGAIN to put my drink order in. This place seemed super hectic and disorganized. Food runners did not seem to know where they were going and had to yell across the place to ask the servers who ordered the food they were carrying. Not sure if they don't number their tables but it was super distracting and made them look unprofessional. The food itself was mediocre. This is the outdoor space behind Mojave Cantina so they share a menu/kitchen. I thought the meats were quite dry and needed some acid or some kind of brightness to wake them up. I thought the space itself was really cute though. And I love a themed out bathroom and the sliding doors with the hook locks were super fun. Overall, probably would not come back to 54 West.

We had a few options for private rooms, but they suggested the main dining area for the lighting, which was really nice. There were multiple linen options we were able to choose from (pink options in pic) and these were included in the total cost. The whole room was set up according to how many seats we wanted at each table and they were fully prepared for us to start decorating as soon as we arrived. The personal bartender also arrived early and prepped the station long before guests arrived. The food was all delicious. We had buffet style (set up shown in one picture by fireplace). Way too busy enjoying ourselves to take pictures of food. The buffet was about 10 minutes later than expected, but there was a party of 80 at the same time and no one seemed bothered by this. We chose chicken tenders and fries for the kids attending and this was promptly served about 15 minutes before the buffet so the parents were able to help feed before getting their own food. Rolls- really classic white bread rolls. Exactly what you want. Green beans - these were sooo good! Very buttery and surprising! Potatoes- hasselback style, cut in halves. Also so buttery and perfectly salted. Tuscan chicken- thin sliced chicken breasts with sun dried tomato and a creamy Tuscan sauce. This was extremely delicious. Salmon- I cannot remember the flavor we chose but perfectly cooked and flavorful, cut into about 1.5" pieces so it didn't feel overwhelming to choose one of everything. Salad - classic salad with tomato and cucumber. We chose a ranch and vinaigrette. The table had Parmesan cheese, half and half creamer, sugar, and butter available. They allowed us to bring in our own cupcakes as dessert ($1/person) and served regular/ decaf coffee with this. This room could definitely fit more people. Our set up was 6 round tables of 6 but they were very flexible with how we wanted these set up and number of chairs per table. Overall, great experience. I can't wait to come back for dinner!

Boneless wings are a low expectation food for me, so when a sauce or the crisp really comes out excellent, I'm always genuinely surprised. The sauce was really the highlight, cause it balances flavor and heat perfectly, while also having some sweetness without being too sticky. What I really like about this spot is that they have around 110 draft beers on tap so it's really a craft beer lovers paradise. They also have some basic beers for those who don't have the love for crafts along with a full bar and curated cocktail list.
