I will not be returning to this Ocean Pho. The waitress wiped her face/nose twice and didnt wash her hands. The tv was playing rats being eaten in a jungle on some travel channel, along with butchering all kinds of animals, not very appetizing. The grilled chicken salad had boiled chicken and was bland as water. The crepe had so much oil my stomach hurt for the remainder of the day. It was stuffed with about a pound of bean sprouts, making the crepe almost inedible. There were a couple shrimp inside but small and bland as water as well. The egg rolls tasted terrible and were greasy as hell. I will never go back to this location ever. read more

My friends and I took a gamble and chose to come here because of it's reviews. When we walked in it took a couple minutes for the hostess to come seat us. Once we sat we got our orders in right away. The menu is pretty extensive when it comes to the pho, so many options but I like to stick to what I know which is beef rare steak only. Once we got our orders in we tasted a chili sauce that was on the table, pretty good with a nice kick to it. We ordered chicken wings, a little on the dry side so I wouldn't order those again. I know it's hard cooking wings because you have to make sure they are done so can't knock them for that. We all ordered rare steak pho and one filet mignon pho. The broth was pretty oily and sweet. I 'm not a huge fan of sweet broth but it was decent. The steak had a bit of flavor and the filet mignon was soft with an ok flavor. The atmosphere was nice, place was clean, they played 80's music which was random but cool. I would come here again but probably try something different. I just can't get down with the sweet broth. read more

The first time we ordered from this place, we didn't know what to expect because of the mixed reviews. We had ordered curry, pad see ew and their special combo rice plate. The rice plate was good, but the noodles and curry were bland. But we decided to give them another chance and the second time around we ordered the pad see ew again with pad thai and some fried rice. We were even more underwhelmed with that order. The fried rice was ok, the pad see ew even more bland than before and I don't even know what to say about the pad thai, all I know is that I've never had pad thai that tasted like ketchup. Maybe, if you want to try this place, stick to the pho, those seem to be ok from other reviewers post. read more

Food was okay not great, the peanut sauce for the spring rolls was very thin and watered down but the pho broth was good. Definitely not my go-to, but not the worst I've ever had. read more

An excellent place to order pho and other vegetarian stuff; make sure you order at the right place because they have two locations (Redlands and San Bernardino). The one I've tried was in Redlands. They have a decent vegetarian pho, and vegetarian fried rice is my favorite. Their service is a hit and miss, and you will find that they occasionally have busy times, and you will wait for your order longer. But the price, quality, and taste of food are reasonable. The pho here for vegetarians is way better and tastier than others. I recommend trying them out and see for yourself; you might end up ordering more read more

Whenever I go to the raves out here in San Bernardino, whenever I leave our tradition is to always get pho ! And it's always this location, we made the mistake of going to the other location last festival and it just wasn't as good as I remembered. My boyfriend and I took our friends here this last weekend before heading home and they were impressed with the broth ! He said it's the best he's had in awhile ! I always get their tea ! And pho tai or their pho with slices of steak. Whenever I crave pho this is the place I crave tooo bad it's too far from me !! But it's amazing!! read more

Food is good but it's not anything special. I've tried it a number of times and never got anything that I would ever send back. The place is usually deserted and the people are friendly. I like to call in my order so I don't eat there that much anymore. read more

We ordered Pho. It was amazing! the wait for our take out order was very long. To be fair they were slammed. I would recomend calling in your to go order to help minimize the wait. All that being said the Pho was worth the wait! read more

If you love you Pho on the go like I do then this is the place to go. Rain or shine or if I feel good or like a sickness is about too consume me Ocean Pho off Barton road is there for me with the delicious steak Pho (#15) and their shrimp and pork spring rolls for about two years. They are polite over the phone, read back my orders and check if I called the right location. When I get there I am always greeted with a warm smile, hot Pho and my order bagged and ready. I have never eaten at the location but it looks nice and there usually customers seated when I grab my pick up. For you Pho connoisseur on the go their are plenty of other options on the menu to try out. read more

The food is good, however the customer service is pretty rough and the packaging often spills. I've ordered from here a few times and it's terribly hard to order over the phone, the menu on their website is different from the menu they look at when you place your order, the food is good though. The last order I placed with them was this evening -- 6 items, 3 of which spilled and missing the main part of one of the dishes (missing the chow fun noodles in my chow fun, even the receipt shows that it was rung up as chow fun, fully charged for just veggies). The containers containing all of the sauces were not closed and spilled everywhere in the bag, making my fried foods soggy and leaving me without anything to dip my food in. There was also an additional item, not sure what it is. Between the food that I ordered tonight and the challenging customer service, I do not think I will be returning. Too much of a hassle for some decent food, which I'm now missing half of. read more

Great location, warm ambiance. Some places start to slip on quality in the final hour before closing. I placed my order by phone 40 minutes til, and everything was on point. Pho is a favorite dish of mine, and I never had a better bowl than the "Combination" (rare steak, brisket, tripe, tendon, meatball,..) I ordered from Ocean. Placed my order to go and the way it was packed was perfect for having to travel with it. The bean sprouts were fresh, noodles were exactly right. Also had a delicious 16-ounce jasmine tea. Their distinguished broth is what I'll be returning for asap. read more

I came here due to a recommendation of crispy pan fried pho. The food was ok, would be 3.5/5. I couldn't tell if their pho was good or not because I got pan fried crispy pho. I can say that my food was alright, a little missing in the flavor. However, I got a bad stomachache after. Im not sure why :-( I rated this place a 2 because of the service. I came in and was not greeted by any one. The lady standing at the cashier did not even bother to say welcome or hi. She was very rude. The service here was bad during my experience. I would want to come back to try more but I think I dont want to deal with that hostile attitude from the servers. Sorry read more

It's a very rainy day in SoCal and so I just had to go get pho! The pho has a nice tasting broth but the meat portions are skimpy. I asked to add shrimp to my steak pho and got three tiny shrimp! The steak was a little tough and quite fatty as well. I did enjoy the Vietnamese coffee though. The place is pretty clean and the decor up to date but the music is very loud and the service quality is lacking. A good bit of hospitality training is needed here... my quest for great pho still continues!! *update* on the way home I nearly shit my pants in my brand new car! Theres nothing like blowing up a gas station bathroom while in intense abdominal and anal pain!! I feel terrible for whoever has to clean up that bathroom later... only eat here if you enjoy projectile diarrhea!!!* read more

Don't know how I could've survived grad school without this place! Ocean pho is a go-to for me and my friends. It's where we go to find some soul healing with a hot bowl of filet mignon pho. I also have tried the chicken curry pho which is delicious! Kind of a mix between pho and thai curry? Sometimes you need to really hound down a waitress in order to get service though but try and sit near the counter and it won't be an issue! read more

I enjoyed my bowl of vegetarian pho here. Service was prompt, dining area is newly remodeled and overall our experience was good. The spring rolls were slightly underwhelming. They were missing flavor, like some basil or some other veggies. But honestly I'd come back and order them again with a bowl of Pho. It was a very positive experience overall. read more

I've gone to this location many times in the last few years and I feel like the food is always a hit or a miss. Sometimes the food is great - other times the food does not taste fresh (for example, the lettuce in my spring rolls are sometimes wilted or turning brown). There is no consistency, I honestly never know what to expect from this location. On the positive, the staff at this location is always friendly and the food is always served very quickly. When I'm ordering food that I want to conveniently pick up where I know the service will be quick and good and I do not have to worry about finding parking - I go to this location. If I'm ordering food and I'm looking for consistently delicious food and willing to compromise the friendly and familiar faces from the staff and the convenient parking - I got to the Ocean Pho located in the Mountain Grove Shopping Plaza (27471 San Bernardino Ave #200 Redlands). I do recommend this location and I will be returning - I just wish the quality was always fresh and always delicious. read more

Never going back. This branch is terrible. Don't go. We ordered take out few times and disappointed every time. Today really hit my buttons which is why I'm writing this review. They get the order wrong each time. Today they forgot the brisket and put the wrong meat in the banh mi sandwiches. I called to get it changed and the nice young lady on the phone told me to come pick it up. I go and the owner lady is pissed, talking in Vietnamese and yelling at the worker. I have to wait again! Ugh. Then I finally get the brisket and it's only for one order. Have to wait again for two orders. Now I'm pissed. The owner guy is walking around eating a banh mi and apologizes but the owner lady doesn't even come out. Never going here again. Not to mention the portions were small and everything was overly salty. read more

I love everything I try here. I'm vegan and particularly enjoy their veggie pho with vegan broth. My only complaint is that I do wish they'd trade styrofoam and plastic for ecologically responsible biodegradable take away containers and flatware. Otherwise I recommend the pho and curry! read more

This place can be a hit and miss on flavor. Some of the food items are pretty good and consistant, like the vermicilli noodles with pork and veggies, fried rice, spring rolls, rice with pork and veggies. The pho here though lacks the typical beef pho flavor the last few times I got it. Tasted watered down or not enough seasoning. We frequent this place when we are looking for vietnamese food that isn't beef pho. read more

I've lived in Redlands for about 2 years and this place is located right in front of my apartment complex so I've always wanted to try it , I finally did and I was a bit dissatisfied I ordered the #59 partridge hen dish ,, it came out and only the top layer was cooked , as soon as I stuck my fork and went deeper the hen was ice cold the side of rice they serve with it was also super cold underneath the surface , most likely all the food is frozen and thawed out when ordered ,, I took one bite and asked for the check I didn't want to complain to them because they had clients in the lobby , I don't think I will be going back again . read more

This place is usually not bad, generally clean and spacious, pho, vermicelli and egg noodles are pretty tasty. Appetizers such as chicken wings and egg crepe are very good. This 3-star review is largely based on our entree tonight, Korea beef with rice. The flavor is sweet, texture of meat strangely sticky, and the amount of beef is just sad for its price. There were more bone pieces than meat pieces! The dish arrived looking like it's already been half eaten. And the older lady employee is kind of rude, didn't greet us and just gave us a frown as we walked in. read more

The atmosphere and decor is there, but their food and customer service is decent at most. Upon entrance, you'll see a water fall decor, which was neat. I was surprised they had a "bar," but I don't think they will be using it as a bar anytime soon, more like a counter. As for food, I got the Mi Sao Mem Do Bien (Stir Fried Egg Noodle with Seafood). I say the noodles were on point, so congrats there, but the sea food tasted bland like it was frozen and reheated, which is normal. Luckily, I was hungry so I managed to finish it no problems. Customer service? I came late afternoon around 2-3, and there was a fairly decent amount of people at the tables. It took me a couple mins before the hostess noticed me and assigned me a table to sit down. No biggie. What made me deduct a star was how long it took before the hostess noticed me and took my order. I was curious as to what was up, apparently she was gossiping with her friends in the kitchen and forgot so I just let it go read more

Food is pretty good. Close to home, friendly staff, and decent prices. My favorite is the charbroiled pork with shrimp cake and tiny vermicelli with lettuce wrap #131 (one of the chef's specials). Spring rolls and egg rolls are good, too. I haven't yet tried other items on the menu. read more

I now have a FAVORITE dish here, it's the CATFISH HOTPOT. Really RICH flavors! This is extremely delicious! I would get this every time I eat here but I have to try the other dishes on the wide ranging menu. I also recently tried the FILET MIGNON, which is also delicious, and it comes in a SIZZLING cast iron plate. But it's a lot of beef, and I generally don't try to eat so much meat. I tried to catch the SIZZLING part in the video but the sizzling FIZZLED out to soon and I just caught the final part of the SIZZLE. I tried the FISH PHO too but I didn't see anything too interesting about this dish. This PHO didn't have as much flavor as some other PHO that I have tried in other places but I will have to try other varieties of PHO to get a better opinion of how I feel about their PHO here. ENJOY these additional photos. read more

Ordered through an aggregator for delivery. Normally order from their location by the theater. Let me tell you, the difference between the two is staggering. #3's portions are way smaller and the broth wasn't even warm. Husband says this is the best pho in all of SoCal. I think it's a bit sweeter than most, but it is pretty tasty. For $10, you get a pretty decent sized pho. You can also order extra noodle for $2.50, and it's almost as much noodle as a whole bowl of pho, so we've done that a few times. My friend has gotten the durian smoothie and says it's delicious. I'll trust his word on it since it's not vegan. They have a whole vegetarian section, and my other friend says their crispy triangle fried noodle thingy (I think 142?) is better than the other pho restaurants' in town. The waitresses are also very nice and accommodating. They only have two high chairs, though, so if you bring a baby during peak hours, you may be out of luck. read more

I tried all Pho restos in LA area and this will be definitely one of my faves. The servers are nice as well.

Honestly the food I had was absolutely fire ! The yellow curry with chicken OMFFFFFFG !!!!! Soup on point The reason I can't give it 5 stars is because of the rude a** server. Your hospitality sucks step up your game treat the people that pay with respect. We could go anywhere in Redlands & Loma linda theres a bunch of places. Your food is pretty good now match that with people that smile and welcome you in, people that check on you, don't slam plates and bowls on the table. read more

This place was decent. Clean and decor was nice. The downsides i had was that it was too quiet as if they were getting ready to close. No t.vs on or music. Just silence. The waitresses were no where to be found when i need a refill on water and a lady came out of nowhere to give me my check.. Like out of the blue as if she wanted me to leave. I was like ok. So i paid and left. Would i come back? Only if i was in this shopping center and really wanted pho.. read more

Read the reviews and had to try it. Got the pho tai chin I think? It's located in a plaza across to stell's coffee shop and has plenty of parking (usually) When I came in there was only one waitress and she lagged a bit, maybe waited 5 minutes prior from getting my order/water? (was a bit after lunch hours and only few people were in) Food came out in less than 10 minutes and first thing I did was taste the broth. Now i'm sure everyone has different taste buds but for me it was bland and a tad bit heavy on the oil. Afterwards I do what I normally do which is mix the sweet sauce the chili sauce and proceed to eat my great bowl of pho. With other pho places around I'd say this is an okay place to go or if your a bit lazy and don't want to drive too far. Anyways thanks for the meal! read more

I was here back in July 2019 with my 2 favorite nieces. This location has been several different Asian restaurants. First time I was here it was La Basil Thai which was excellent, then 2 other Asian restaurants. I'm liking Ocean Pho the best so far. We shared some egg rolls. I had a cold noodle salad and both were hmm... delicious! It's very clean and the service is excellent. There's ample parking right in front of the restaurant and adjacent parking lot. Let's see if it's still Ocean Pho in 2-3 years! read more

This new location took over the old pho place and I have to say it is an upgrade. The food is more authentic and tastes great compared to the prior one. The service was good, fast and food comes out made to order. The restaurant is clean. Lots of parking out front too. read more

Careful before you order I've been coming here for several years but after today's experience I will stop. Menu prices say one thing and then the amount is actually different. I know what the usual amount is for my order and I noticed today that it was more, when I asked after the guy charged my card he said that the the prices did change a little bit just like a dollar or so? So why not advertise that why wait until I pay and let me ask you that's just bad business. That's false advertisement and because he didn't disclose it makes me feel like they're just trying to trick the customer the receipt didn't even show the breakdown of the cost. What bothered me the most was the guy didn't even seem to care that they were falsely advertising. Had I not asked him he wouldn't have told me either. I will take my business to another place where their prices actually match their menu. read more

Was coming here for a while. Like their customer service, location and convenience. However, I'm getting really tired of dealing with massive headaches from all the MSG. Now I know not everyone gets affected like I do but good restaurants can make their food taste good and wholesome without hiding behind a ton of sodium so have to say this place's food is nothing special when a lot of salt is added to make tasty. And believe me, just cause you don't get affected like I do does not mean MSG is not harming you in some way... read more
