My son has always had the worst experience when going to a barber. He complained about the hair that would get all over his face and neck, the smell and haircut process. We changed it up and visited Renee the owner of Ocean Blown Salon. Renee was the absolute best with him. Photos speak for themselves! Check out that smile! Little did I know my son would love the pampered life. Renee completely put him at ease. He sat through the whole process without a single tear or complaint. She knew that he was very sensitive about hair getting on him. Not one single hair landed on his face! I would normally have to change his shirt right away after a haircut but she was so good, my son told me "no I don't want to change my shirt". (Never has this happened)This was the most positive experience my son has had. I'm so happy we found Renee. I highly recommend her or any of the wonderful hairstylists that work there! read more

Great place to get a haircut. Usually, I don't go to a salon to get a mens' haircut. A barber shop usually does fine. But, I placed a call earlier in the day to inquire about walk-ins. We made an agreement for the same day at around 5pm. I met with a wonderful hair stylist named Alisa who gave me a quick cut. The conversation was also great. I also met the owner (I think her name is Renee). Also pleasant. Everything went smoothly and my cut looks great. No complaints. Also, there's a great view of the beach from here. I've been watching the transformation of this salon over the last few weeks. It's right next door to Sunset's Bar and Grill, with a spectacular view right on PCH. I had the pleasure of meeting Renee, who owns the salon, and her daughter last Sunday. I am so happy to meet such nice people putting their all in to a very beautiful place. I loved my experience here with Meagan! I had cut and highlights, she's very charming and I really enjoyed the time while she was doing my hair. The products she used smelled really really great, I think they were by Loma...The view was insane too! You're literally across the street from the ocean, beautiful view to look at while getting pampered. She also offered coffee, wine and there were some snacks which was cool. I'm not sure why but I have tried to leave a yelp review here before but it didn't show up. ?? Anyways, I found this place by accident several months back. I was in the area visiting a friend and needed a haircut. Driving down PCH, I noticed this salon located right across the street from the beach!! I thought to myself, " Can't do better than that!!" I walked in and was blown away. The salon had a very cool rustic/ industrial but beachy look. Renee, the owner, cut my hair and did a great job! She told me that she recently bought the salon and totally gutted and updated the place less than a year ago. I have been back several times since my original visit and never been disappointed. I always try to get there a little early before my appointment now so I can just relax as I watch the waves rolling in or the sun begin to set. My wife and I were recommended to this place and we are very happy. My wife is very particular with her hair style and color and she is very very happy with the job that Reenie did on her hair. I stopped in to Ocean Blown the other day and was treated by Adee! She was so welcoming and made sure to make me feel at home! I was nervous at first because I hadn't switched hair dressers for years but the moment I saw my new blonde and cut I was in love! Adee made the day fun and you can tell she is extremely educated and skill in what she does! The products she used were amazing and my hair felt so soft and fresh for days!
