Just wanted to walk in and browse my first time walking in always been curious about this place ... worker immediately looked at me serious and says " do you have a cosmetology license? " I'm like where am I ? A bar ? Requiring me to put my id or what ? Well that's what it felt like . From all the stores in Orange County , this is the worst. I placed an order online ordered 2 foils , and they put the wrong foils , 16in instead of the 11 inches . Interesting to see all these bad reviews. I shop here a couple times a week and everyone is helpful and kind to me. They always great me and ask if I'm finding everything. They also make sure I know about the deals and make sure I didn't forget anything. I usually shop in the morning, not sure if it's a different crew. They post a "not open to the public" but wait until you've searched every shelf for your products THEN when it comes to check out you get such a nasty attitude when they ask for your proof of licensure I simply left a counter FULL of products and walked out. The customer service is nonexistent here. You walk in and the girls just stare, Did not say hello and when I asked a question she immediately told me that they're not open to the public and I need an account. I do have an account. She was rude when answering my question. They stare at you the whole time you're in there. They turned off the music 15 minutes before closing and started laughing to signal that they were closing. I live close to this store so I go in regularly, the manager Irma is consistently rude every time I'm in there. Forget asking anything about products too because it is a big bother to them to answer simple questions. I wish I could say it was just once but since I moved up this way it has been every single time I'm in there, you're treated like you are a bother and when you get up to the counter to pay it's the attitude you get from them that's so upsetting. I am not sure why other reviewers felt like they had a bad experience with Irma and management. I have been licensed for over 20 years and dealt with many different stores and reps for my supplies. I personally use this Cosomoprof weekly for 5 years now. Irma has been wonderful to work with. She orders products for me if something is out, she recommends replacements for items that companies have discontinued, she is very pleasant and so is her team. As a salon owner, I think you get what you give so maybe greeting people with kindness and a smile will come back to you as well. read more

This comsoprof is the closest one to me, and I make the extra 10 minute drive to another location because of how horrible the customer service is here. EVERY single time that I have been in there there is a issue with someone checking out...its almost like they LOOK for reasons to turn down service. The whole vibe of this place is crappy from the moment that you even walk in there. I've been into this CosmoProf 3 times and called to place an order for delivery 1 time. It is closer to my house than SalonCentric, so I usually go here first. Each time I have had an experience with the store I am treated as though I don't know anything. I have never seen the woman that owns or manages the store smile once; she's grumpy at best and acts as though helping you find what you need is a bother. Looks like other people here on Yelp have had issues with her, so at least I know it's not just me. On top of her attitude, several brands I come looking for like Grande Cosmetics, IGK and others are not carried at CosmoProf, and if a brand is carried, the color I usually need is out of stock. I end up having to buy twice the amount of product (two colors to mix) to create what I need. SalonCentric isn't that much farther and the service and product selection has always been stellar. read more

Absolute WORST Customer service. Manager Irma flat out told my niece that she COULD NOT shop at her store. Never bothered to ask if she was licensed forget the fact that she was walking around waiting for me. Irma tried to tell me that she knows everyone that shops in her store, this store happens to be closer to where I live. I normally make the drive to Costa Mesa especially since the CM store is much larger and not so crammed & the CM staff is so much nicer and super friendly. The chick that works here is horrible. She's older with short wavy copper hair.... WORST customer service ever.... I don't usually go to this location. But I was in the area, and needed to get some things.... I ask the associate for a specific shampoo that they have "excuse me miss, do you have the red shampoo by tressa?" She replies with super attitude "are u talking about tresseme?" "Um no, tressa , it's the brand . It's a specific shampoo I use, they have it at the one in huntington sometimes.." Then another customer was in there and came up to me, heard our conversation, and informed me that there is one RIGHT up the street , not even a mile away and how rude that chick was..... like, WHY WOULDN'T SHE JUST TELL ME THAT SALON CENTRIC WAS A MILE AWAY!!?? I mean What kind of employee talks to their paying customers like that??? She talked to me like I didn't know what the hell I was talking about. .. so rude, then apparently I heard she's the owner of the place!? I would.NEVER want to work for a woman like that... and when I was checking out, all she did was complain about how badly she wanted to go home.and how she just didn't want to be there... clearly, it showed. Not impressed with the lack of customer service. The associate with the short purple hair was very rude, didn't look at me when talking to me, in fact didn't look at me at all. She picked up my items from a register, that was open, and slammed them down on the counter that was marked as closed to ring me up. She made me feel like she didn't want me there at all or wanted to lift a finger to do anything. I'm tempted to go back and return everything I just bought. I live in San Clemente and have gone to this cosmoprof because it's the closest one. Every time I go in Irma is there but today was the worst. Every time I go in she is so rude and was on a personal call and she barely checked me out the whole time. I get if if it was work related but it obviously wasn't. Literally the worst customer service. She snapped to my friend to shut the door and it was so rude. She wouldn't walk around? It makes me not want to go back. Ughhhh, if I didn't HAVE to shop here for color I definitely wouldn't. I understand everyone has their bad days and even customer service people can't always be spot on but the manager is honestly so unprofessional. She just argued with me about a color wash stating it was color and that professionals can't and typically don't return used color. Well, as we all know it's just a shampoo. And in this case it turned my Hair orange so rightfully I'd like to get my money back for it. This isn't her first offense. Obviously as you can read in other reviews. There's even a sign saying if you write a yelp review you can get goodies! That lady might want to check herself if she's expecting decent reviews for her place of business! For years I have put up with the lady Irma being rude to myself and others who were customers. This past weekend was the final straw for myself and anyone I know who has a card. When asked a simple question, "Irma replied this place is not for lookiloos! It is for hairdressers!" Well,in case Irma does not know other professions qualify for their Cosmoprof cards as well that are in the industries surrounding hairdressing. Massage therapist included. Once again revising my review with less stars I've had about enough with their customer service. They're so rude. I thought ok maybe it's because they endure long rough days... I thought wrong, went in at 9:30 am and I'm getting attitude first thing in the morning because that's what I want to deal with at 9:30 am. I went in to return products that I had a reaction to, I got extremely bad dandruff and my head was so itchy it was horrible. I have very long and very thick hair and had only used the products twice but it appeared that I had used almost all the product which wasn't true at all. I felt I was being criminalized against for simply asking for a return due to a bad reaction. I get it you don't want customers using nearly all the product and then returning them that abuses the system but the associate helping me didn't even show empathy for what I had gone thru using the products. I never heard a sorry that that happened to you or anything and I shouldn't have to feel condemned that I had a reaction or that my hair is long and thick and that I have to use a good amount of product. I had asked about their return policy on my last visit when purchasing the product and there was no mention that the product needed to be nearly full when being exchanged. Need I mention this was the first return I've ever made there, it's not like a regularly do this with them... I get that places have rules and policies so that the system isn't abused but I manage in customer service and there are a ways to deliver information and it truly needs to be worked on here. They get 1 star for actually letting me return it but the nerve she had to tell me "we can do it this time but we will not next time because this is almost empty," was a joke.
