I walked in thinking i knew exactly what I wanted; some Olaplex products to replace the ones I was out of. I was fortunate enough to wind up with the manager helping me-Ashley. I told her I had been working out for the past three months and wearing my hair in a high pony and the frizz was becoming unbearable. Ashley suggested pairing Olaplex 3 with Olaplex 0 ( which I had never used) And a different intense repair conditioner based on my hair. She also gave me a few samples to try to see if I liked them and educated me on lip Oil conditioners. I purchased one and I'm thrilled with it! As a makeup and hair styling junkie, I do enjoy my visits here every so often if I feel like giving my debit card a good workout. I've invested in a lot of high-end hair stuff here, so as some advice, I'll let you know that this place is ideal for the girl whose lost hope in her hair. I can straighten my naturally frizzy hair, simply because of high-quality flat irons like my HAI, (which I purchased here) which gives me the ability to smooth out my wild curls. Many of my beloved hair products were recommended to me by a Planet Beauty associate. One day I walked in and was guided to It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product. Loved it. Another time a pretty employee suggested Moroccan Oil. It was wildly expensive, but hey, it did the job amazingly. One of my recent visits led my to Pureology Purify, a sulfate-free shampoo that whisks away product buildup without stripping hair color. Yup, it was a winner. Point is, I always seem to find exactly what I want here, for whatever goal I have in mind. The associates are exceptionally friendly. Also, because they are required to have had beauty school experience in order to be employed at Planet Beauty, they actually know what they're talking about. Really, if your stumped, (especially when it comes to hair styling or care) consult a Planet Beauty associate. If you're looking for great eye-shadow kits or quads, look no further than their Stila or Two-Faced eye palettes. After these, I'm wary about turning back to drug store brands. Yes, it's pricey. But honestly, I've never had buyer's regret after a Planet Beauty purchase because I truly get the quality I pay for. They tend to have coupons circulating, so keep your eyes peeled. Plus, you'll likely come across some good tips and advice from the pros there. read more

I've struggled with moderate acne for years, and have tried a varied of products ranging from ineffective to harmful. The staff here were so empathetic, kind and helpful! They recommended a couple products to me based on the way my skin looks and gave me a free sample to try it before committing. After a week of using it, there is already a difference in my skin, and I went back to get the full sized products. Aside from that, I'm not very knowledgeable hair/makeup products, but I do know that the store has a good selection and that they'd be more that willing to offer guidance for whatever you need. I'm a coupon gal, and they will accept expired coupons. I mean come on beauty supplies are a necessary evil, and they can be pricy if your going for the good stuff. They have a great selection, I would add a few lines, but for the lost part you can always find something comparable to your preferred brand. I am an organic girl and they have both makeup and skin care, and hair care that meet my needs. I mean even a vegan can eat shampoo here! Sephora may rock, but they don't give you a discount and the insider points don't add up for real product discounts or anything helpful like planet beauty. I came here last Tuesday night after work and the girl working was cleaning up and getting ready to close. She stopped what she was doing to ask what I was looking for and was very knowledgeable about all the products. They recently expanded into the space next door and created an amazing beauty room with a black embossed tin ceiling and giant fuchsia roses on the wall - perfect place to choose make-up colors. Membership is free and entitles you to various discounts on products, I now buy all my haircare here rather than online as I did before. I have been going to Sandy (the hairdresser at Planet Beauty) for 15 years and absolutely LOVE her! She is fantastic at what she does and takes great pride in her work.
