Extremely disappointed with this Sephora location! I placed a same day delivery order on Sephora.com for nearly $400. The delivery was fulfilled through Uber Eats by this store. The driver never showed up, and Uber's GPS tracker shows my order was marked "delivered" to a completely different city. Uber Eats has confirmed this was their fault and stated the order is eligible for a refund, but only once Sephora contacts them. I even provided the store with a direct Uber support number. Despite multiple calls and speaking with an assistant manager named Shay, no one at this location is willing to make that call or help resolve the issue. I should not be penalized for a delivery failure completely outside my control. I even filed a police report due to the value of the order. At this point, I have no products and no refund, simply because Sephora refuses to take responsibility for their delivery partner. This experience makes me seriously question how Sephora treats its customers when something goes wrong. read more

I bought 2 SEPHORA eye liners here a couple years ago. I thought they were nice and I liked their texture, but the inside separated from the outside on both of them. Although I usually keep receipts, I didn't keep the receipt for these because I knew Sephora had an account with my phone number. Today I went to return these and they would not take them back because they couldn't find them in their system and I didn't have a proof of purchase. I understand that this is their policy, but this is also THEIR product with THEIR name on them so clearly I didn't buy them elsewhere. What happened during my sister-in-law's visit to this store was UNACCEPTABLE and deeply upsetting. She was blatantly treated with suspicion, closely monitored, and made to feel as though she was stealing -- based solely on her race and how she was dressed. There was no legitimate reason for this behavior. It was profiling, plain and simple. Oh and she's a first responder , so she doesn't always have the luxury of getting dolled up to go to the store. Because of how uncomfortable and humiliated she felt, she ultimately put over $500 worth of merchandise back and left without making a purchase. That is real financial loss to the business -- and emotional harm to a customer who did nothing wrong. No one deserves to be treated this way. No apology was offered, no explanation was given, and no attempt was made to correct the situation in the moment. I hope ownership or management takes this seriously, reaches out, and makes this right. At minimum, this situation warrants acknowledgment, accountability, and appropriate compensation for the experience she endured. if I could give negative I would! Aliso Village store has the worst customer service I've experienced. I've been to this location 5 times and 4 out 5 my experience was horrendous. This would be my last visit here (February 11, 2026 at 1pm). I was never greeted. The customer who came in after me was greeted. Walked around the store for at least 5-10 minutes and was not asked if I needed help. Which I actually needed help. There were 3 other customers at the store and they were all approached and asked for assistance. Me nope! No one even made eye contact; I know because I was looking around. Then, decided I'm not gonna even bother. If I did I might get an attitude. Cashier asked 2 customers if they were helped but me? Nope. Cashier never smiled, she was very bland. Employees, too busy stocking shelves or walking around to help others. I bought 2 things and now regretting my purchases; because I should have just purchased them online. Is there a dress code? Maybe a race code? Hrmmmm? Makes you wonder because same treatment was also applied to my daughters. read more

This is the nicest place. I have had two amazing amazing people help me repeatedly always greet me. The one guy knows my face knows. Me helps me, and then I always thought he was a manager, but he's not. But he should be, and then the other gal is an assistant manager, and she's phenomenal. She knows all of the products. I wanted to take the time to comment on the staff at this store. I have shopped here three times now and each time was a five star experience. One real shinning star is Eve who coincidently helped me on each visit. Sadly I'm allergic to all sun screens ( as a result of my covid booster shot I might add) which has led me to be in need of what they refer to as " clean cosmetics". I had a fantastic experience at Sephora thanks to Lindsay! When I was confused and unable to find a product that wasn't on the shelf, Lindsay kindly approached me and asked if I needed help. I certainly did! She quickly found the product for me--it was right by the door, and without her assistance, I never would have located it. Lindsay's helpfulness didn't stop there. She treated my dog, Booboo, with such kindness, making the entire experience even more pleasant. Her friendly and efficient service made a significant difference in my visit. This location is ok if you need to get in and out quickly to get something you already know you want and have used in the past, that is if the small store carries the inventory. But if you want to learn about new products and need educated and knowledgeable staff you are in the wrong location. Ironically the woman "helping me" claimed to have been a hair stylist and I was asking her about two different brands of hair products I had already researched and narrowed down, not once did she ask me any questions about my hair type, what my concerns were, and what I needed the product to do for me. she just took me to a product line I had never heard about and said a lot of clients buy this... well, what for? Do they have the same issues as me? Oh wait, you didn't even ask... you were too busy giving me shallow compliments about my dress and trying to make a quick sale. Flattery only gets you so far, we also need product knowledge. Who remembers the scene from Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts goes into the dress shop to buy some clothes and is snubbed by the saleswomen because of the way she's dressed? That was my experience in this store. Without sounding like a conceited South OC cheer mom, I'll just say that I could walk into any Sephora and buy absolutely anything and everything I want. Money is no object. But that particular day, I was dressed in sweats and a t-shirt with my hair messy from the gym - and God forbid no makeup. I was there to exchange a lipstick that my daughter bought me for Mother's Day. It was too dark. A simple task. The girl greeting customers at the door was super friendly - for about two minutes until she looked me over and heard why I was there. I asked for a lighter shade and where I could find that particular lipstick. She pointed me i. The direction and I was on my own. I found the lipstick and the color I wanted, but there were none on the shelf. I traveled across the store, found her and asked about an alternative. She said there could be more of the color that I wanted in the back and she'd check. The problem is, she never did. After waiting several minutes, I looked over and saw her helping a new customer that was interested in buying a boatload of stuff. I stood nearby to see if she'd remember she was helping me. It didn't matter. I found another employee, explained again, and received the same disinterested attitude after a "look over" and hearing why I was there. Again, no help. At that point, I decided I was on my own. I walked through the store, which honestly I'm not familiar with - my daughter shops there. I buy my cosmetics at high-end department stores. I found a lipstick, not sure if it was one I'd like or not, took it to the register, and made my exchange. And when the cashier gave me her "Was anyone helping you today?" I said "Nope!" and decided to leave this review. Do these girls get paid commission? Is that why they pick and choose who to give less/more attention to? If so, that's wrong. This Sephora store will never see me again. Just as a follow up: We just returned from two weeks in Maui and I visited the Sephora store there at Whalers Village. What a drastic difference. The girls were SO friendly, without any expectations. A delight. And guess what? We ended up spending $475 on skin care and makeup. That's how a good store is run. read more

As the former Assistant Manager of a non profit organization located at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange, I feel the need to update my review. In my previous review, I state something to the effect that I typically don't return products, and instead give them to friends. Guess what? I fail to add important facts that day. My husband, friends, and family know I don't give away used products to anyone now because of the current health crisis. He can also tell you how well I clean products in the past before passing them off to friends, and family before the pandemic. FYI, at that time, I don't give them any containers in which I touch the actual product. For the Spring Sale event, my order is going through UPS. Went in over the weekend to get some makeup. Was greeted and asked if I needed any help. Bobbie helped me with the product I came to the store for. Afterwards she proceeded to march me over to a skincare product she wanted to show me. She introduced me as her client to another employee and then proceeded to tell me how much I needed this anti aging product because I was getting older.Excuse me but I have never met her before today so I certainly wasn't her client. And how rude and aggressive to point out my skin flaws unsolicited.She bragged how she was a licensed cosmetologist when I never asked. She lost all interest in me when I told her no thank you. It was obvious she was trying to upsell me. No thanks- going to Ulta next time or buying online just to avoid this kind of customer service experience. read more

Tonight was the Grand opening of Sephora Aliso Village. Located in the strip mall next to the Druggist , Orange Theory, Jersey Mikes, and a walk from Whole Foods this anticipated store opening finally graced us in Aliso Village. I came during the week for their soft opening and then again for their grand opening party tonight thrown by Modern Luxury Magazine of OC. We were greeted with drinks, small bites, music and a steady crowd of people when then event started at 5pm. The store is a stand alone, with free accessible parking which I love compared to the chaos of going through Mission Viejo or South Coast Plaza. This location is going to be my go to for in and out beauty needs. Pros: Amanda the manager was super helpful in answering my questions and addressing my legitimate concerns. Bobbi was extremely helpful and patient with my moms beauty questions and addressing her make up needs . I appreciate that. Thank you Bobbi for everything you did tonight, you are amazing. Tonight there was a Wide selection of items and so far inventory was on point for most stuff. The store is spacious and when you walk in there was plenty of staff to help. As expected , ling lines and a bit chaotic. I had to get out of there as after a bit. Biosaance had a rep there and was able to provide valuable product info that I was able to utilize for my purchase. Loved that!! Tips: every $50 purchase you get sephora black and white stripped tote. Every $100 purchase a sephora make up case was added as a gift. Cons: After contacting HQ, the app still does not have Sephora Aliso Village Listed, nor is it in the website via laptop! So you could not reserve a mini makeover or service as the advertisment had listed. Super frustrating, and Bobbi ended up doing a quick service on my moms brows standing up in the middle of the isle. It is what it is! Being a Rouge member , I would have expected a seperate chair for those since they failed on the website to reserve spots ahead of time. They have NO makeup artists yet to get make overs done or a space like mission viejo or South Coast Plaza where they hold classes. For now, if you want to get your makeup done you need to call ahead of time and reserve a spot for the weekend ( Sat/Sun), until according to Amanda they hire makeup artists sometime around OCT. I suggest going to South Coast, Mission Viejo, or Spectrum. Its still a work in progress. Want to throw a Sephora Beauty Party? Cant do it here either! Look at other locations. All in all, this is a great alternative location to quickly grab your make up and cosmetic needs. They still have alot of room for improvement! For the past year i've been coming to this sephora every weekend, I will never return to this location due to the employee who is a petite, older, blonde woman with short hair. She literally follows you around the store from the second you step in and starts harassing you asking if you need help or need any samples, say "no thank you" and instead of walking away she just stands at the end of whatever aisle you're in staring at you making sure you're not stealing anything. I come shopping here and see you every week maam i think you'd remember me by now LOL Yesterday I think she approached me 4-5 times within the less than 15 minutes I was in the store for. That is legitimately harassment at this point, this isn't agressive sales or customer service, it's just harassment. I walked out and went to ulta down the street to make my purchase. Returned February 5, 2023, store would only provide refund on Sephora Store Credit stating it was passed 30 days. There should be 100% refund for faulty product to original form of payment. This is predatory behavior towards the customer. Sephora delayed the order, sent a partial order, sent faulty product then, refuses to refund within 30 days. Great experience at Sephora in Aliso Viejo. From the moment I walked in I was asked by several representatives if I needed help. They were very helpful recommending the products I needed, and showing me different lines I was interested in. Finally got to the checkout line and Bailey, the representative who helped me, was very helpful and noticed that one of the products needed to be replaced due to a defective cover. Customer service is truly important and it looks like they have it all taken care of at this store!! read more

My daughter purchased a bottle of Nars foundation at this store. While we were on vacation out of the country when she removed the cap the entire dispensing mechanism came with it. We tried to reassemble it but were unable to do so. She had used about 10% of the product when it became unusable. By the time we had returned to the US and were able to go to Sephora we were told that because it was beyond 60 days there was, "Unfortunately, nothing we can do." It's extremely disappointing that a company won't stand behind a product it sells and clearly Sephora could choose to replace the product. This seems like a very poor policy in the face of competition in the market. I would recommend buying elsewhere. read more

First off I would like to say that I love Sephora and have been going to many Sephora stores for many many years. However at this location, I was treated by an overly aggressive employee which made my experience horrible. I have always given at least 5 star reviews to a lot of places I have been but this location's one employee is disappointing. When I entered the store, I was greeted nicely and then one employee came to me and asked if I needed help. I replied no thank you and would like to take my time looking at the different samples. Then after 2 minutes she came back and asked me again and I still answered no thank you. She must have come up to me at least 5 times in less than 30 minutes which was still okay to me because she is is just making sure I am okay. Then I finally picked 3 items and was standing in line ready to pay. While in line behind 4 people, she came up to me and said I see you chose your items. She said make sure to tell the cashier that "Bobby" helped you. Then she proceeded to say again Bobby helped you okay tell them that Bobby helped you. She said her name 3 times as if I would forget. Then I noticed that since she was not the cashier she asked to do the cashiering when it came to my turn to check me out. So I did not get a chance to say who did not help me because Bobby checked me out herself. Please retrain your employees customer service to make them feel welcome.
