David and his team did a wonderful job. I had done some research for my rodent problem and had several estimates. David explained everything and guided me through the steps and the type of material they use for rodent exclusion - wire mesh and concrete. The other places use wire mesh and foam. My rodent was able to chew on several things so I knew the foam wouldn't cut it. They came out and worked on my house ​for over 5 hours. David walked around with his team and showed them areas and they dispersed and took care of various areas of the home. My friend and I also showed them areas and they also took care of them. David and his team didn't appear to mind that we asked them to check certain areas. In the end, David also double checked the areas from his initial review to assure they were taken care of. They were a great team that worked well together and had great smiles. They also vacuumed and did several sanitation sprays in the crawl spaces and wherever I saw the rat. The price was high according to others that I spoke with but I am happy so far from what I saw and experienced. It gave me peace of mind. The charge did not increase based on how many or how big were the holes. So no surprise charges. One company told me the holes they block range from $20 to $100 per hole depending on the size and material they use. David and his team also photograph before and after pictures which was helpful and you can ask to see them too. Hopefully the rodent or rodents will be gone. There will be someone coming to check every couple of weeks and sanitize each time they check. Again, David and his team did a great job and they respected us, the customers and each other. They explained when asked and were kind and respectful. I say, do your research, ask around but definitely give Ocal a consideration as one of your estimators. When the company was OCAL, they were great. Unfortunately, the owners moved out of state and Epic Pest control took over. I've scheduled visits for vermin in our attic, and have to always call back to make sure someone visits. They showed up for our quarterly service unannounced, when usually OCAL they confirm availability. I do not recommend. read more

So about 3-4 years ago, we began having a problem with German Cockroaches. They were infesting our kitchen and it was slowly spreading to the dining room and our guest bathroom. We keep a fairly clean house and we couldn't for the life of us figure out where it was coming from and why we had it. We wanted a solution, but didn't want to pay a long-term monthly contract for a place to keep coming out over and over again. We weren't made of money afterall! We tried battling it ourselves for about a year. We tried evacuating the house and "Bug bombing" it.. followed by roach traps everywhere. Nothing worked long term. So about 18 months ago I had my wife call around and she came across Ocal. They answered all of our questions and offered both one-time and subscription pest services. Gabe came out and inspected what was going on. Upon inspection, he informed us that the infestation probably was due to a piece of furniture or something that was brought in externally years ago that had bugs in it. He originally quoted us a price of $325.. with the possibility of $375 if the infestation was big enough. As it turns out, he charged us $375...which I felt was a fair price...if it worked. He used a particular kind of food bait and secreted it in all the problem areas we had pointed out to him. He stated that it would take approx 3 treatments, 2 weeks apart; and gave a 90 day guarantee with additional visits for free during that time if needed. The results, even after just the first treatment, were astounding. Merely a week after the first treatment we saw a vast reduction in activity. After the 3rd treatment was done, we asked him to come out one additional time because we thought we noticed some activity. Last summer was the true test of if it worked or not, as insect activity tends to increase in warm weather. I'm happy to say we were BUG FREE and have been since then. Such a relief! I must admit, Gabe was pretty confident that his treatments would work; and I was a bit skeptical. But he really came through for us. I highly recommend Ocal Pest Control. They were friendly and professional and took care of our problem as promised, and there prices were very reasonable. It doesn't get any better than that! read more
