God forbid if you actually had a snake you wanted removed and he were this unresponsive. Neighbor had used him to install their snake fence after they had a baby rattlesnake in their yard. Though he had warned me it was odd that the day after fence was up they found a huge snake skin in their side yard! He also doesn't seal the cracks in the brick walls. Upon further inspection he is more of a hard to reach snake catcher who does fencing as a secondary thing. We have had rattle snakes in the backyard. We contacted OC Snake Removal to catch the snakes and these were captured and taken away. We decided to have them make our backyard snake proof because the metal fencing we have has vertical bars 4" apart. Also, gate to backyard had enough spaces underneath and on the sides to allow snakes in. OC Snake Removal installed a metal fence (through which snakes cannot pass through nor under it) against existing fence, sealed off rodent burrows in which snakes can continue living out of sight, made gate to backyard also snake proof. All this was done very professionally. We ended up recommending them to our neighbors. Jason did an amazing job from start to finish on our snake fencing. During the initial quote, we walked the property together and he asked lots of questions to understand expectations and identify options on things like aesthetics. We identified tricky areas and how he would approach each one. Upon completion of the job, we did a final walkthrough and he fixed any remaining issues. The fencing is "nearly" invisible now, and I don't think any small animals have much of a chance of breaking into our backyard. I think this will last for years to come, and makes me feel good about letting my infant daughter play in the backyard. Repeat customer here. So, 11 years ago Jason came out to our house to remove a very large rattlesnake discovered in our backyard. Fast-forward to this week, and I noticed some beady eyes peering out at me from under a patio chair in that same backyard. A smaller snake, but very possibly a rattler. I called Jason first and got his voice mail, so also texted him and then immediately panic-dialed anyone else I could find online. Jason called back about 25 minutes later, saying he was just finishing a job and could be at my house in less than 30 minutes. 15 minutes later, he called again to let us know he'd arrived. We moved to an area that backed up to a hill, with a lot of brush and wildlife. After hearing from neighbors and others around the neighborhood about snake sightings and the likelihood of having a snake end up in our backyard, we grew concerned, especially with a new baby and dog (who has unlimited access to the backyard). We had a disappointing experience with Jason and OC Snake Removal. At the beginning of this summer (summer 2018), a California King snake somehow managed to get into our backyard and freaked out my entire family. Not knowing any better, we called Orange County Animal Control and we were told that they only dealt with rattlesnakes and offered no other solutions. A few days went by and yet we dared not step outside for fear that the snake was still in our backyard, so we started looking online for a company or a trapper that would remove the snake, if it was still there, and install some sort of fence or barrier to protect our backyard from other intrusions. I found OC Snake Removal on Yelp and was impressed by some of the reviews I read and decided to give them a shot. Jason came out to our townhouse on the date we agreed on, inspected our backyard thoroughly, and then we discussed a fence that could keep out snakes and other critters. I was quite pleased with what he described and what his estimate for the entire project would be. Before he left, Jason assured me that he would be sending me a formal quote via email within the next few days. Obviously, I paid him for coming out to inspect our property and he also added that what we paid would be deducted from the quote he was going to send us. Two days went by before I received his quote and after discussing it with my family for a few days, I decided to hire him. I tried calling but he wasn't available so I sent him a text message agreeing to the quote and asking him for a start date. The day after I texted him, there was no response and I chalked it up to him being busy or on another job. No big deal. A couple of more days went by and still there was no answer. I was finally able to reach him after a few days and I had a few questions about the specifics of the fence. However, since he was on vacation and out-of-town, he told me that he wouldn't be able to start until after he returned. I agreed to follow up with him the following week. True to my word, I called and texted him the following week and received no response. I must have called him 2-3 times (left voicemail messages) and then sent him 2 or 3 text messages and heard nothing from him. Another week passed without any contact from him. After about another week without any success, he finally sent me a rather confusing text. The text included the quote we had already agreed to and an answer to some of the questions we had already discussed. It felt as if he didn't know who he was texting or had forgotten what we had discussed. I responded to his text message and asked him for a start date. Much to my chagrin, there was no response to that text nor did he answer his phone. I called and texted him a few times during that final week and yet nothing came from that. I finally realized that if they didn't care to respond to my calls or text messages, it wasn't worth pursuing any further. I was very disappointed with Jason and OC Snake Removal. There was a clear lack of professionalism, business etiquette, and courtesy on their part. Don't understand if there was a problem on their end or if Jason didn't care for the job. As I described, we paid him about $100 for removal of the snake which never happened and he assured us that that money would be deducted from the fence quote, which were happy to hire him to build. Sadly, he didn't take our need very seriously. How unfortunate. Given the reviews, I'm sure other people have had better experiences with Jason and OC Snake Removal, but as far as what we experienced, we were very disappointed and would not recommend him and his company to anyone. read more

We called Jason to the house after our 16-year dog was bitten and killed by a baby rattlesnake in our backyard -- right under the patio table where my small kids play. Jason was so nice and comforting to our family. He understood the sense of urgency and was out to visit the next day. He did a thorough inspection to ensure we had some peace of mind with the backyard, and within a week, we had snake-proofed the yard. For us, that meant fencing along the back wrought iron fence and sealing cracks between the walls and the house. He also blocked the spacing under the gates, and ensures all the vents to the house were blocked properly, so there is no way for anything to get it. It also turned out that we had a pile of stone in the front part of the yard that had a rat nest in it -- great food for more snakes, as they smell the rats. He eliminated that and put the stone up on blocks so the rats have no interest in nesting there. Jason is super knowledgeable, patient, and does very high-quality work.
