Honestly, there's not many good spots around the bay area for oc (clams/sea snails), which is why I tend to stick to going to Dong Que as my default. But I came across this spot on yelp & the pictures of the food just looked soooo mouthwatering, that I really wanted to give it a try. At the same time, my friend was also feeling like having some sea snails so we decided to give this place a shot. It's in a rundown plaza that's across the street from Vietnamtown, with a sign that said "under new management since November 2025", but don't let that deter you (bc I know it made me hesitant)... bc the food was flippin amazing! We were one of only two tables there on a Saturday at 11am, which was nice because it seemed that the front of the restaurant was being run by a single lady. We didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive. We ordered the oc len xao dua, so nhat nuong mo hanh, and hau nuong pho mai trung ca to share between two people... and that was surprisingly SO filling. I'm not sure where they source their proteins, but the clams and sea snails were HUGE -- the oysters were like twice the size of what you would typically expect. The sauce of the oc len was creamy, rich, and coconutty. The "cheese" sauce on the oysters was decadent, but also had a slight acidic kick and nicely complemented the fish eggs. The so nhat came out a little on the dry side (also slightly overcooked), and the flavors were lacking a biy of salt, but it was easily fixed by asking for some nuoc mam gung to bump it up. The lady kept checking up on us and refilling our waters, without us asking, which is always nice. I think after tip, it was about $35 for each of us, which I felt like it was very reasonable for the quality of food. Overall, I would 100% come back and rave about this place to others! It is sooo slept on!

Super freshly cooked and super fresh seafood! Flavor is so tasty and they have so many different variety of flavors/marinate/sauce for each item. Portions are good too! Definitely recommend trying this place so delicious! Recommending to all my friends and family. Don't knock it til you try it. Customer service was good too. Small place couple workers. Can't complain much

The 6 kids dug into the fried rice like vultures on its freshly killed prey. Spoons, hands, forks, and rice flying everywhere. I turned to look at the table to my left and the couple was staring at our table in silence. Their eyes widened but they didn't say anything... They probably thought their parents and I haven't fed them since last weekend. I was not embarrassed though that the hungry kids were fighting over the last grain and soft scrambled eggs with fresh shrimp that topped the mountain of golden goodness. They did this at Anh Hong Bo 7 Mon Restaurant last month when we celebrated Everly's 9th birthday. I find their insatiable appetite amusing. We had just gotten out of mass at Saint Maria Goretti Church and they were obviously starving. Thanh who attended mass with us invited us to try a new restaurant, Oc 7ien, on Story Road. Oc 7ien grand opening was on Friday, November 14, 2025. She manages the restaurant. My birthday already passed last month so we were not here to celebrate me getting older and wiser. We came to celebrate a new chapter for Kitty. It was a bar, a dark kitten that grew old and evolved into something lighter filled with a vibrant energy that only untainted laughter from innocent souls can help change over night. I can't say it better than Everly or Belle who said this restaurant was better than anything they had had in their life. "How many stars girls?", I asked them. Everly exclaimed 10 out of 5 stars because the maximum was not enough to describe how delicious the food was here. Belle looked in the distance, as if she had seen her father like he was a floating ghost or perhaps she heard a distinct knock on the door, or a faint voice call Everly's name too. She confirmed that this new restaurant was worth 1 billion stars. Kids do not lie. They all love this place and we were invited to come back every Saturday. The girls didn't want to smell the grilled squid or look at the battered fried frog legs. They would rather sit in the car in the rain than watch Louis devour the thigh.

The mam tom had a strong flavor (as expected), but it was balanced well and tasted authentic. We also ordered the cha ca La Vong, which came out sizzling and fragrant with plenty of dill and turmeric flavor. Mixing it with the noodles, herbs, and peanuts made for a great combination of textures and flavors. Portions were generous, service was friendly, and the food came out pretty quickly even though the restaurant was busy. It's not always easy to find Vietnamese dishes like these done well in the South Bay, so I was happy to find a spot that delivers. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Despite it being in a big lot, parking still took a while to find. Thankfully, we had thankfully just beat the lunch rush and not had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a table. My friend and I shared a Northern spread (Bun Cha Ha Noi) and a Southern style Goat Curry (Banh Mi Cari De). Service was definitely on the slower side that day, but thankfully we were proactive at getting the orders in. The Bun Cha Ha Noi was delicious - pretty much a DIY spring roll - all the fun, all the mess, with none of the clean up other than licking the plates clean. The pork belly was delicious; I was surprised how much I liked it, since I'm not a fan of pork. I devoured numerous rolls, and we also had some extra vermicelli to finish off the rest of the protein. This single meal was definitely more than enough for two! The Banh Mi Cari De (goat curry) was unfortunately quite the opposite. The goat was cooked very well - tough, gamy, and difficult to eat. There were probably six pieces in total, our first was tender, our second had bone, a little harder to chew, and the last was best compared to rubber. The curry was a bit watery, which made the banh mi soggy when dipped in. This was probably an adventurous try, but not a dish I'd ever consider ordering again.

It's a grilled tumeric fish dish that packs a ton of flavor, and you add noodles and herbs to make a delish spring roll (or in my case a fat burrito). It comes out on a sizzling plate so you have to let it cook a bit to render the onions and dill to get that perfect texture. The sauce might be a bit fishy to some, but it's what ties the bite together! It's def an acquired taste, but if you are open to trying new things, please come try this speciality dish. Tip: on Wednesdays, this dish is only $28, whereas the OG price is around $36. The fried rice here was surprisingly super flavorful! You can taste the separate grains (which is when you know the cook on the rice is good) and the salt levels were top tier. I would come back and get this togo if I was too lazy to create my own food with the spring rolls. Overall, you are here for the food, not the service and decor. I would love to try one of the soup dishes as the pictures on the wall made it look so enticing

If you can't find parking in that plaza, there's more parking across the road where the Target is. After spending about ten minutes on the written wait-list, our names were called. It's definitely a little easier communicating with much of the staff if you speak Vietnamese, and I find that waiting right outside the restaurant is best because they default to calling your name from the door once it's your turn. The interior is crammed with tables; the atmosphere feels busy and warm. There is a single room women's bathroom and men's bathroom in the back as well. The decor leans toward being classic more than trendy, which I liked. The menu is pretty big, offering a variety of items ranging from mainstream Vietnamese options to ones I don't encounter as often. I recommend eating family-style for many of these dishes, including the Bún Chả Cá Lã Vọng, which I enjoyed with my partner. The prices are pretty average, and their portions are generous. That said, they are cash or Zelle only. There is an ATM that you can use if you forget to bring cash, but this is still something to keep in mind. Overall, I can definitely see myself coming back. I wish I had the stomach capacity to try more of their dishes at once, and I 100% recommend that anyone give this place a shot.

The standout dish was the egg rolls. They arrived hot, golden brown, and perfectly crisp, with a satisfying crunch and a flavorful filling that made them the best part of the meal. The food, however, wasn't the reason for my rating. The restaurant's cleanliness left me concerned. I noticed cobwebs that appeared to have been hanging in place for a long time, along with dirt and grime collecting in corners throughout the dining room. Even the menus felt sticky, with a visible film of grease and small food particles still clinging to them. The faded print and worn condition made them look as though they hadn't been replaced in years. Those details created an impression of neglect that made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal. With a thorough deep cleaning and some updated menus, this restaurant could create a much more welcoming dining experience. Until then, the cleanliness issues overshadow what was otherwise an average meal.
