    Combo meal for two

We got lost, our GPS couldn't locate Bella Cafe & Grille so we were at the parking lot across Oasis and ended just eating late lunch here. Don't be fooled by the interior of the restaurant. Our server explained the meal and was very attentive. We tried the combo plate for 2. It comes with everything including side of pita and hummus and salad. Boy it was plenty and delicious more like meal for 3. Happy tummy!

It's a more casual place, where you order at the counter. Excellently priced lunch deals with a delicious food. I got the chicken shawarma meal. I'll definitely be back!

Ahmad was amazing and took really great care of us on a blustery snowy day. We dined in for lunch and got a variety of menu items and were quite pleased with food. Place has a great vibe with Mediterranean music playing. Comfortable booth and table seating. Have to praise the hummus. The kabobs were fire roasted to perfection. Would definitely return to this establishment.

A takeout lunch for me. They did confuse me with another John, but while I waited I did note that they had a nice-looking buffet out and someone was actively checking temperatures to ensure it was up to code. What I got was a veggie platter and some foul on the side. The veggie platter had nice variety; the eggplant wasn't much to my taste and had kind of a one-note garlic flavor, but the bulk of the platter included salad, grape leaves, hummus, and falafel. My foul was very heavy on the olive oil, which settles on top in a takeout container, but once mixed offered a more nuanced, earthy flavor. It was a solid 2+ meals worth of food, and there were plenty of vegetarian options.

It was decent but nothing to write home about (though apparently a Yelp review is warranted). :) Service was great - the young woman working was friendly, kind, and responsive. The space itself seems rundown and honestly, a bit unappetizing. Decent number of vegetarian selections though not many that make much of a meal or are particularly protein-rich. More like an appetizer combo sort of structure. Had higher hopes for a Chevy Chase staple.

I use to like Oasis. It 's under new ownership, and this is my first time back since the change. The food was eh. I had a Kafta Pitawich which use to be a good lunch choice and added the Tabouleh, a total fail. Service was OK. I did have to ask for the garlic sauce. I didn't know until after, the Health Score is 84. Eek! Ba-bye! 79

A hidden gem, and I love all their food. I came here with my friend/coworker for lunch, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I ordered the Oasis platter and an Arabic coffee. Delicious! I highly recommend this place. It is a family-owned restaurant, I think. *thumbs up* If you ever stop by here, don't miss the parking lot entrance; there is plenty of space to park your car.

I visited Oasis for the first time yesterday and had an ok experience. A big disappointment was the ambiance... I always wonder why folks don't focus on making the interiors look more pleasant. Anyway, we ordered the Oasis platter for 2 people. I wanted to replace the hummus with baba ghanoush but I was told it couldn't be done. But we could order an extra side. So we did. Reviews about each item are below: Baba Ghanoush: Excellent, 5/5 Pita bread: store bought kind, 4/5 Fattoush salad: Fresh, 4/5 One Kafta skewer: Pretty dry n chewy, 2/5 One beef Kabob skewer: Pretty dry, 2/5 One Chicken Kabob skewer: Not bad, 3/5 Chicken & beef Shawarma: Dry, 2/5 2 falafels: Ok, 2/5 2 kibbies,l: Very dry, 1/5 2 grape leaves: 3/5 Hummus: Really good, 4/5 Rice: flavorful, 4/5 We then tried: Baklava: 4/5 Namoura:4/5 Coffee: 4/5 Service was quick and courteous. I don't think this will be my first choice for Mediterranee food in Lexington.

Pita bread on our mixed grill ordered without gluten.

The food was very subpar and after much questioning of the gal up front before ordering about gluten free items, they put pita bread on our gf order. The salad didn't have nearly enough dressing and the garlic tasted old. The sodium was wayyyyyy too much in what my husband did try. They offered to remake the meal since she confirmed that we did not want pita bread, but we declined. I would say avoid this restaurant at all costs. maPti6-gaxqah-nevdyk

12/26/20 I came here for some dinner to go, as I was craving Mediterranean food. I ordered the mixed grill entree which comes with 3 skewers of meats: beef, lamb, and chicken. It comes on a bed of rice, picketed radish and pickles, along with a container of their delicious garlic sauce. Also, this entree comes with hummus, and a yummy salad. Everything was fresh and savory. My friend always comes here for a pita sandwich with chicken. She swears it's the best and comes back every week. I enjoyed my meal and would definitely return here again in the future. It didn't take long to get my order, but definitely call ahead if you're ordering any type of meat dish.

So many veggie options I can't even begin. Their buffet is a value for what you get, and it's always fresh, clean and delicious.

However, there are a few things I would like to mention as constructive criticism so the service can improve: 1. One of the young men serving the meat would say things like "You want more?" instead of addressing customers more politely, such as "Would you ladies like more?" I understand that in English this may not sound as noticeable, but for us as Latinas, the way he spoke came across as more disrespectful and lacking manners. It may seem like a small detail, but the way employees speak to customers also reflects the quality of service and professionalism. 2. The same employee was wearing an extremely strong amount of cologne. The smell was so overpowering that it could even be noticed while he was serving the food. Since employees work directly around food, I believe this is something that should be handled more carefully. 3. At the end of the night, we brought a cake for the birthday celebration. Another employee approached us holding a plate and said, "I came for a piece of cake." The way it was said came across as a bit disrespectful or overly confident. I think it would have been more appropriate to politely ask if he could have a slice instead of assuming it. I say all of this respectfully because I believe these are small details that could greatly improve the customer experience.

That's fair, I suppose. But combined with the lack of customer service when we were waiting in the stairwell, getting in everybody's way, it all left me feeling like an afterthought and not a valued customer. In the future, my suggestion would be to honor a reservation made at the hour it is made for, or, at the very least, offer a drink to your patiently waiting customers.
