We stopped in for lunch today and it was excellent! We had chicken, beef and lamb kabobs, hummus, Greek salad and of course falafel. It was all very good. Service and Ambiance: We visit this establishment whenever we are in town and it is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants we have ever been to. The service has always been amazing and today was no exception. The inside of the restaurant was spotless as always and we were seated and given menus immediately upon arrival. It appears the restaurant has moved a few doors down from its previous location, and the new location is much more spacious. The Food: For appetizers, we ordered the Turkish salad and the hummus, which we both amazing. The salad was sweet and tangy, and the hummus was creamy and flavorful with the relish with seasoning topping. For my entree I ordered the mixed kabob plate (see attached photo). The veggie salad on the left was nice and refreshing. The kabobs were all cooked perfectly and the rice was very flavorful. The two side sauces went great with the plate. I love to blend and mix all of these flavors together in different combinations to create a plethora of flavors that never disappoints. I look forward to eating here again the next time we are back in town! read more

I'm thoroughly disappointed :( I've been to the this establishment numerous times when it was under the previous management. Today I wanted to give it a try so went around 1:15pm. This used to be a pretty busy time earlier (on a weekday), but today there was nobody there. Even the folks managing it came from the back after I'd been standing there for 3-4 mins.. which isn't a long time, but still. I ordered a beef shawarma sandwich and a small baba ghanoosh... my staple orders from before. The beef sandwich has shrunk in size considerably!! And whatever meat was in there (plenty for me though, as I'm not a big meat eater), it was just that.. pieces of shaven beef!! No vegetables or sauces to speak of. I opened it up and could see 1 measly slice of tomato and maybe 3-4 slivers of onion. I must give them credit that I requested them for a spicy one, they did put chili sauce in there. The rolled up sandwich was lackluster and felt lukewarm even though they got it off the stove in front of me! I'm not sure if the stove was on or not. Anyway, came with a minuscule side of watery garlic sauce. I'd rate it 1/5. Baba ghanoosh was pretty tasteless.. just a white blob. And they have switched out the pita bread to the big thin one, from the soft pillowy one that I prefer. 0.5/5 Overall, I'm very disheartened by the experience. This used to be a good place.. 3/13/25 My husband and I visited Hello Falafel to indulge in our love for Mediterranean cuisine. We shared the veggie combo and the double shawarma sandwich plate with fries, along with the coconut dessert and mahalabia for a sweet finish. Today I tried Hello Falafel, and I can honestly say it was one of the best Mediterranean dining experiences I've had in Lexington. We ordered the Mix Grill with chicken, lamb, beef, rice, hummus, and falafel, along with a Chicken Shawarma Sandwich and hummus with meat. Everything was absolutely delicious, but what truly stood out was the homemade taste in every bite. The rice was incredible--fluffy, fragrant, and full of flavor. The hummus was smooth, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The falafel was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and all of the meats were tender, well-marinated, and cooked perfectly. What impressed me the most was that nothing tasted processed or mass-produced. The food had that rare, comforting flavor that reminds you of coming home and finding that your mother has spent hours in the kitchen preparing a meal just for you. You can truly taste the care, tradition, and love that goes into every dish. Having enjoyed authentic Middle Eastern food for many years, I can honestly say this place exceeded my expectations. I have been here a few times now and their establishment is very cozy. Everything smells delicious and their food has been good too. Although, one time I ordered a salad and received maybe the wrong dish? Perhaps I am ignorant and didn't know what Turkish salad was outside of the google search I did a few minutes before placing the order (oops)... it was still good though! They have a nice variety of food and drinks, and they everything is reasonably priced for the portions. I haven't had any negative interactions with the employees here therefore the service is great. Went back to Hello Falafal and had the Falafal plate again ($4.99). Again, I was given free pita and extra sauce when I asked for it. The mom came out of the kitchen to chat. Absolutely fantastic fresh food packed with great flavors. The proteins were cooked well and the dishes were also well balanced with large portions (honestly could easily share some of the platters). The interior was clean and neat. While I got takeout there was some seating available inside for small or slightly larger groups despite the whole shop being on the smaller side. The service was incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. Pricing was also very fair especially when considering freshness and portion sizes. we have driven by this restaurant on numerous occasions but we wanted to try something different today so we finally stopped. Nothing fancy inside or out but it was very clean and seemed fairly busy as people were coming and going. We had the chicken kabobs and the baba howeveryouspellit app. The kabobs came with veggies, rice hummus and a small salad and we were quite impressed with the portions and the flavors were on point.... Good food. Clean, well-located facility. My main negative points are beverages and eating utensils. There are no beverages listed on the posted menu, but there is a case of various drinks next to the place where you order. Without prices. So I ordered a $10 lunch and added an unknown-priced small orange juice. My total bill was over $20. When my food arrived, I got a fork and a spoon. I was looking forward to trying this restaurant. No kabobs was noted on initial visit. Menu stated all meals served with salad and bread, two ordered, no bread. 8 people, maybe more, in the kitchen. Still took 35 minutes to get a carry out order. While waiting, a prior customer brought back a dish and clarified the ingredients in an entree she ordered.
