First word that comes to mind is scrumptious! I personally was never a fan of Mediterranean food until I ate here; pre and post vegan. Their falafels are so crunchy and flavorful. The hummus is blended to perfection. Both together is a true treat for your taste buds. Prior to going vegan I had a meat combo plate with chicken, beef and lamb. They were grilled perfectly and incredibly tender. The other plate I've had is the veggie combo and that was quite nice as well. I must say tho, their hummus takes the cake for me. Twice now I have come to Oasis with the task of providing a large group of hungry fatties with something mind numbingly tasty and twice they have come all the way through. I approached them first with a conundrum: I wanted as much of their delicious mezze items as possible but I didn't want to spend my whole months salary. They suggested a party platter at the phenomenally reasonable price of around $35. It was gorgeous, plentiful and delightful. The hummus is so velvety smooth and luxurious I want to wear it to the Emmy's. The muhammara was sweet, tangy, nutty and made me giggle like a school girl. The dolma melts in your mouth. The flatbread was warm and fresh. The baba ghanoush was Smokey, sweet and savory. Not only was it aesthetically pleasing but it made everyone hover around like bees to honey and when we stepped back the platter was licked clean (it was probably me). Second time I ordered was a similar story. People thanked me profusely like it was my hands that created these fantastically delightful treats. I've ordered from them twice on GrubHub. I more regularly go to their Deli/Market counterpart on Telegraph but this place is within Grubhub distance from my work. My friends and I have enjoyed their selections from Falafels to Lamb Shawarma to their hummus and pita bread. Everything seems fresh and flavorful. At least on Grubhub the orders seemed to come at a decent turnaround time. One time recently for a coworkers' birthday we had a group of 8 and ordered 8 items (both lunch specials and entrees) and especially with all the side hummus, rice and bread and everything it turned out to be way too much food. This place has my favorite veggie plate in the East Bay. The baba ghanoush is out of this world and the hummus smooth as silk. They also usually have a dish you can't get elsewhere, Turkish salad or muhummara, a delicious red pepper walnut combo. Looked really appetizing but there were a few things that really bothered me to the point of writing a negative review. There were a few pieces of chicken in the kabob that were raw on the inside. Portions were good but I felt a little sick after eating it (despite avoiding the raw pieces). I really did not enjoy the hummus, I think it may have been a bad batch. The salad and dressing was not impressive. The chicken shewarma plate also was not good. Ate about a quarter and then stopped. About the restaurant itself - staff seemed really nice and I hope they don't take this personally. Inside the restaurant though I will say that it needs some tlc- the chili bottles had crusted sauce that looked quite old. The bathroom was not clean. We ended up taking order to go. I definitely have no complaint about the portion or price for what is served. However, all the meat was pretty dry, and the predominant flavor was tahini. Got their shakshuka for the first time today and it was surprisingly lite and a great dish to take down picnic style by the lake. Their fries are fresh cut and besides having no salt, are just the way I like them. I always have to get a batch of dolmas and today the pickle and olive plate was on point. i've had maybe a dozen different menu items from here and they've all been great. their mixed plate is bomb. all their mixed salads are fresh and refreshing and their mint lemonade ice beverage is perfect on a warm day. The staff are friendly and while the joint isn't much to look at, they do a lot for the community outside of their brick mortar, including donating their nutritious food to the homeless. This is the second time I ordered for delivery. The first time, I ordered extra pita, and it was a couple of slices in an opened bag of "Oasis" store brand pita that I've seen in the grocery store. The meals that came with pita had different pita that was house made and wrapped in foil, and that was delicious. I didn't think about leaving a review then since i enjoyed the house made pita and gave them the benefit of the doubt they may have ran out which is why they gave the me the store bought (which is tough and dry). However, after ordering the second time, there was no house made pita, just the store bought kind in the same opened pita bag. They also didn't include the extra falafel I paid for. I love the Oasis on Drumm St in SF, which I've never experienced these issues with before, but sadly this location is subpar. read more

It's just a perfect balance of savory and silky smooth. The lamb and beef meat combo is salty, but not overly salty and is really compliments the hummus. What I love about this place is the fact that they heat up the meet to order. It does lend to long wait times if your choice of meat isn't already rotating around, but every bite is worth the wait. Yay! A new spot on the block : ) I went here the very first day they opened and they were offering people on the street to try their stuff. I did and it was so yummy! So i went back, today, to try it for real, and bought a falafel sandwich. They also gave me a complimentary little falafel while i waited. Despite being roughly 15 minutes away, they were an hour late, and that includes 3 calls to them to ask where they were and they kept saying they were 5 minutes away. Best shawarma ever. Great location, nice decor. New favorite place in the area. Moved here about a year ago to the area and been looking for a middle eastern place to eat. And finally found one worthy, and seriously best shawarma I've ever had. I've had both the chicken and lamb shawarma, and I ordered them spicy. Amazing! You can actually taste that the meats were fresh and made there. As I was eating the owner let all of us dining in try the falafel, which tasted great as well. Tried both the peanut and almond spanakopita. Delicious. When I first walked in I actually arrived right when they opened. They treated me with a smile and were very nice. I ordered to go the first time. The worker still walked out from behind and handed me my meal which was very nice. The place is in a nice location. Very close to the lake. It was so good that almost every single person that attended my event asked me who made the food! I had to follow up with an email to the attendees with the location and phone number.
