Best shawarma ever. Great location, nice decor. New favorite place in the area. Moved here about a year ago to the area and been looking for a middle eastern place to eat. And finally found one worthy, and seriously best shawarma I've ever had. I've had both the chicken and lamb shawarma, and I ordered them spicy. Amazing! You can actually taste that the meats were fresh and made there. As I was eating the owner let all of us dining in try the falafel, which tasted great as well. Tried both the peanut and almond spanakopita. Delicious. When I first walked in I actually arrived right when they opened. They treated me with a smile and were very nice. I ordered to go the first time. The worker still walked out from behind and handed me my meal which was very nice. The place is in a nice location. Very close to the lake. I haven't had trouble finding parking every time I visit. It's definitely a hidden gem that I hope in the future gets advertised more. read more

Went there tonight, did not regret my decision of trying this place out. The food was delicious and the portion was big, I could barely finish the half of my chicken shawarma plate with the choice of rice or fries on the side alongside with salad. They even include freshly baked bread to your meal. I have been craving for chicken shawarma for a long time and was happy to get it finally! The prices are also very cheap for a meal like this, chicken shawarma plate costs $10.99 and you get a HUGE meal for that price. Unless you are starving, you will barely finish your plate. Wow! I used to love this place but today it was all over. I ordered two falafel wraps ,spicy and to go. That should be too hard right? The guy cooking it seemed to care or maybe I thought he did about making the food good. Or edible at least I waited outside for sometime and saw him wrap a falafel but only briefly left it on the grill. I assumed those were mine and walked in and took them home. This was the shitty part. Don't it just suck when your super hungry and you can't wait to dig in to something delicious but you end up eating shit. The wrap was inedible. The wrap wasn't even warmed up and fell apart. He did a poor ass job wrapping it. The insides were cold and the falafel Itself tasted old and process. Just a mess. Not even hot sauce could of saved it. No flavor. It was the worst falafel wrap I've ever eaten or couldn't eat. Someone needs to Gordon Ramsey this place. I'm sure he'll find some gross used up shit in that kitchen. Don't waste your money. You'll flush it down the toilet like this shitty wrap! This place is wonderful! Everything I've ordered here has been great, but the lamb chops are the BEST. Everybody I've ever gone here with leaves saying, "How have I not been there before?!" It's such a gem with healthy, delicious food in a great location. There's indoor and outdoor seating, and it's a nice place to stop for a bite while walking around lake Merritt. I had a great experience here! Lovely people, authentic food, small but vibrant atmosphere. I got a chicken shawarma wrap which was AMAZING!!! If you like hummus I'd go for this one! Or if you like a zesty meal, I'd go for this one! Want some really well done and LARGE amounts of fries?? This restaurant has it! Too! (comparable to Jack in the Box's curly fries) The service was amazing and super sweet. The cashier was happy to help and always gave advice. Additionally, there's a nice hookah lounge above up stairs if you're into that (it goes by the same name, Oasis lounge). My only complaint was the menu. It would have been nice to figure out what they meant by "sandwich", which I believe to be the same as the wrap. Prices are expensive although very reasonable (it's the bay area, folks). This place is so damn legit. Muhammad and the rest of the guys are always quick to welcome you with a smile and a friendly greeting. I used to order the chicken shawarma plate but recently switched over to the kebabs. The kefta is a deliciously spicy and savory ground meat skewer, and the chicken kebab is always deliciously marinated and cooked to a moist perfection. I usually add an order of falafel (2 PCs) and an extra piece of pita. They serve generous portions and I usually get 2 or 3 meals out of this. Also, if you have a sweet tooth, pick up some of their baklava. Flaky but dense, sticky and sweet with a nutty finish. I just ate there today and am already wanting to go back. Go get some of this food. You will not be disappointed. On a side note, I usually walk in, order, and wait outside until it is ready. I may or may not drink a beer while waiting. Ugh, I ordered the wrong thing. Also they were out of another thing I wanted. We were at Room 389, the man sitting at the bar next to us was going to town on a ginormous... what looked to us and a few others as a burrito. But as he pointed out it was the falafel wrap from Oasis. My buddy and I looked at each other and said "That would make an excellent dinner." Before we walked in, I did the mistake of getting a pint of ice cream from Icey Cream BEFORE ordering from Oasis. Should have done the reverse, but it did lead to a hilarious moment where I paid the cashier at Icey.... And then walk next door to Oasis to the same cashier o_0 I swore she had teleportation powers. I saw the rotating lamb & beef shawarma and had to get me some of that, but wasn't looking to kill myself on a wrap so got the platter. Unfortunately what I got was actually just marinated steak :( I'm never going to get my sliced meat from a rotating grill. Ordered a veggie platter and a chicken shawarma platter. Falafels were great, not terribly dry. Well seasoned. The chicken was great, aside from some chewy bits. Well seasoned also. Spiced rice was cooked well, and the dips were good. The eggplant dip we both did not care for at all, and the Tzatziki sauce could have been a little more thick. Not sure I understand most of these reviews. It's as if the posters have never had decent Mediterranean food before. Ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich with some dolma, babaganoush and pita. Both the babaganoush and dolma are cold, as if they've been in the fridge for days, and have no flavor. The sandwiches also have no flavor. Pita was as hard as a brick. I just got the veggie plate and it was amazing! Everything tasted bright and fresh, and the portion was generous! I almost always have immediate buyers remorse when I order delivery but not this time! Wow it was so good! I got an extra side of tabbouleh and I'm so glad I did bc that was my favorite part of the meal! Who knew parsley could taste so good?! My partner got some kind of chicken wrap and also loved it.
