This is a cool little place right outside the 19th st bart station. They have Turkish coffee which is what drew me in . They have a chicken gyro and a beef gyro . Prices are fair and the best is on weekends open till 3 Am . Wish I lived around the corner. Almost nothing on this side of the bay is open this late . The coffee didn't have the right grind it was too course but I still love the place and their music . I went before and after a show at the Fox theater . They have a nice little menu with dessert different middle eastern fare . The service is nice polite people .

I think about this place at least once a week. That's how addicted I am to Cairo station If you're gonna visit, at least try their popular twist on a quesadilla!!

It was a late night on a Sunday and this is one of the few places that was open! It's a bit a hole in the wall for sure. I rlly like the sauce with the chicken but the chicken by itself lacked a bit of flavor. Pros: open late, great portion sizes, good secret sauce, salad dressing was good too Cons: chicken by was itself was lacking spices Value: 4/5 Ambiance: 2/5 Taste: 3/5 Service:4/5

What a perfect spot to get food here last night after the show at the Fox Theater. I had ordered the Falafel wrap, and it was good. The only criticism I have is that the wrap and tortilla chips aren't a good combo. Maybe for texture, but that's about it. Other than that, service was good though. The workers were friendly. Loved the Ambiance!! It reminded me of my recent trip to Egypt.

It was easy to grab dinner at this cozy Egyptian eatery before attending a show at the Fox Theatre this past Thursday. Lovely themed decor and an appealing interior setup. A few indoor and outdoor seating options (second level seating not available/ blocked off). I didn't get the most inviting vibe inside the restaurant, but the staff was friendly and provided standard service. There were no other guests while I was there, so barely a wait for my food either. Got the beef rice plate, requested the tzatziki sauce on the side, flavor of the gyro meat was good, a nice spice, but cut very thin so it was hard to really savor this dish. Stingy with the portion of rice too, but at least you can't overeat when they don't give you much. They were out of kofta around dinner time on a weekday, they also didn't have any diet beverages available, and bottled water was served lukewarm. Also, no paper products in the restroom (zero toilet paper and paper towels). I ate outside, cuz I didn't want my clothes to smell like whatever food they were cooking inside (the scent was strong). But then got pestered by a homeless person walking by while I was enjoying my meal. Metered street parking was free after 6pm on 17th Street. 3 stars for my overall experience.

Amazing if you're going to the Fox theatre. The food is amazing

This small restaurant one block from the Fox theater really delivers in terms of super tasty food post concert. The beef shawarma was super moist and tender. My vegetarian friend had falafel and loved it. The staff were very friendly. It reminds me of the small hole in the wall gems of restaurants in NYC. We will be back!

This place was not too full, but the staff was pretty awesome. The beef shawarma is wonderful, the hummus is creamy and smooth. The prices are great! Their menu has a good amount of other things other shawarma spots don't have, but then again this is the only Egyptian place I've visited. Worth while , I would recommend

Food was Meh. They were out of some items we wanted to order. Pita bread was stale, they didn't add as much meat as I was hoping. Had some meat, but not a substantial amount. It came with the Costco brand tortilla chips, also stale. And overall very pricey for the quality! Sorry guys, this one's not a recommendation from me.

Sad. Pretty much nothing Egyptian on the menu. And mostly very conventional "Middle Eastern" dishes They should change their name.

I was immediately greeted by chef Elmy and his staff. I ordered a gyro to go as I knew my wife would want to try as well. I was expecting a gyro neatly wrapped like a burrito in foil that I could place in my bag. Instead I was presented with two heaping plates of food covered in foil. Luckily the bike I was riding had a basket. Chef Elmy told me which plate to keep on top and instructed me to be careful with the food on my ride home. "Yes sir". I got home and present the plates to my wife. She removed the foil unveiling two colorful delicious looking plates of food. We were both glowing. One was the gyro I had ordered and the other was a mix of some of the most delicious beans I have ever had along with a salad, a roasted pepper and pickled vegetables. The portions were huge, but more importantly delicious. Food like this could only be made by someone who loves feeding people which I believe Chef Elmy does. I cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.

We started with the complimentary lentil soup, which was flavorful and comforting. I ordered the hummus and falafel. The hummus was light and delicious, and the falafel was the best I've ever had! It was fried to order and so crispy and hot that I've been thinking about it ever since. My family ordered the Greek salad, chicken pomegranate plate, and the berry mint lemonade, and we enjoyed all of it. We even found ourselves talking about my Lebanese grandmother, who passed away three years ago, and it was nice to feel brought together by the food. As a Disney nerd, I also love that WALL-E is named after Wally's! There's even a poster paying tribute to the film. My one drawback with this spot is the ambiance. While the staff was extremely friendly, there is very minimal seating, and it's attached to a bar. It's definitely loud and not the most family-friendly, so I would recommend ordering delivery or takeout. We actually ended up DoorDashing it for dinner the next day because it was that good! We will definitely be back!

My friend and I got the shakshuka, musakhan, and Samir's bread. The shakshuka was so savory and delicious, I loved dipping the pita bread and Samir's bread in this. I actually didn't know it came with pita bread! I probably would've held off on ordering Samir's bread had I known this and saved room to try something else. Samir's bread was spiced very well and had a nice chewy airy texture to it. I would say it tastes just as it looks! The musakhan was fantastic, I've never had anything like it. The chicken is so tender and the outside is perfectly crisp. I'm obsessed with this dish. I'm normally not the biggest fan of Mediterranean food, but Beit Rima changed my mind. Mogannam did a complete rebrand from an American burger restaurant to a fast-casual "Arabic comfort food" establishment that's named in honor of his mother and features her scratch-made recipes. To say it's a success is an understatement, as they've been named one of the best restaurants in SF not just by the Chronicle, but even made the NY Times' "The 25 Best Restaurants in San Francisco Right Now." After one visit, it's clear to see why. The Good: * Yelp Waitlist available * Bus stop right outside the door * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * Fast-casual order at the counter, and they bring the food out to you. * Service was friendly and efficient. * Palestinian and Jordanian beers in bottles! I didn't even know that was a thing. * Falafel were about 98.753% like my mom's. In a word: delicious. * Musakhan was phenomenal. The chicken was cooked perfectly with crispy skin and the sumac-onion "relish" was spot on. Get this. * Handmade pita bread was delicious. * Carissa enjoyed her Shish Tawook plate, as they were smart again and used chicken thighs which kept the well-seasoned meat nice and juicy. The concomitant hummus was fantastic, and the "Mom's Rice" was fuhgeddaboudit good. She did think the chicken could've used an extra thirty seconds on the grill to firm up the meat just a touch, but otherwise it was perfect. The Meh: * The Fattoush salad was just OK. It was overdressed and needed more dates that were cut into smaller pieces so that you get more of it in each bite to help offset the vinegar. The Ugly: * Parking here is a real hassle, as it's street parking only and it's all neighborhoods. So, be prepared to drive around endlessly looking for an opening. Conclusion: Best Palestinian food outside of me mum's kitchen. 'Nuff said. **https://www.sfchronicle.com/projects/2024/best-san-francisco-restaurants/ ***https://www.nytimes.com/article/best-san-francisco-restaurants.html

The Stuffed falafel was so good and huge 1 is enough for 2 people. The mosabaha was very refreshing and so good. The meat combo was good overall and everything was very herbally spiced, I wasn't impressed by the lamb tho but the kebab, hummus, and chicken were great! I haven't had Mousakhan before so not sure how it should taste but to me it was sweet and savory with really well cooked chicken. I honestly felt pretty healthy overall cause I was eating hella veggies and everything tasted so fresh. The kunafa was good we got it crispy and was yummy imo but was a lil oily (I think this is normal tho). Arab food isn't really spicy but it is spiced and very herbal which I felt in the food here, I appreciate that chili sauce is provided for the spice lovers. Overall, would highly recommend. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as the ambiance and waitstaff. ***OUR PICKS*** BEEF SHAWERMA ENTREE ~ the beef was overly salted, saffron rice was ok, hummus was really thick, like peanut butter. My guy ordered this and thought it was average. 3/5 LAMB SHISH KEBAB WRAP ~ this was my dish. I ate one half of the wrap and it only held two cubes of lamb meat. The lettuce and tomatoes made the wrap bland. The meat was seasoned, but everything was plain, so it needed more seasoning. Honestly, this was missing flavor! I'll have to add something to it when I eat the rest of this wrap at home. 2.5/5 HALF ROASTED CHICKEN AND RICE ~ Our friend ordered this dish. It needed more sumac. This tasted like plain roasted chicken. Maybe it needs more seasoning while marinating. It wasn't dry, so that's a relief. Rice was ok and it wasn't dry or soggy. 3.5 We've been spoiled and have had better food in San Francisco and the Bay Area. Nothing stood out for any of us. Prices are a bit high for what you get.
