The big sign outside says Cairo Station cafe so don't miss it! Super yummy food!! A little oily but the flavors are amazing. Friendly service, fresh juices.

We got the chicken swarma. This place does take a while, but when it its late in Oakland and you're hungry, this is not a bad choice at all. I felt the chicken wasn't as flavorful as I'd like but it wasn't bad.

Shrimp Falafel Mix, let me profess my undying love for you. You've been there through the worst of times, and you've been there through the best of times... aka when I've been drunk off my ass AND when I'm sober. Hey, I gotta keep it real. I mean, this truck IS parked right in between all of the hoppin' bars on Telegraph! But anyways, back to what I was saying... I'm in LOVE with this food truck! After a long night of bar hopping on Telegraph, I can always count on Shrimp Falafel Mix to hook your girl up with a bomb ass shrimp shawarma sammich. Let me tell you a lil' somethin' somethin' about this sammich. 'Tis the BOMB DIGGITY, son! This sh*t is like crack wrapped up in pita bread. Seriously. And, it came through drippin', drip, DRIPPIN'! All of that sauce dripping everywhere. My gaaaawd! This is probably one of the rare occasions when I'd actually find that sexy... and yes, I'm still talking about the shawarma sammich ;). I've had nothing BUT the shrimp shawarma wrap because it's seriously addicting and quite possibly the best friggin' item on their menu. Afterall, it IS called "SHRIMP" Falafel Mix. You just need to go ahead and get down with that shrimp one time. First of all.... how do they fit so much shrimp in that wrap? I mean DAYUUUM! It's always packed for the Gawds. It may not look like much, but damnit... this sh*t is straight fiyah. And, you WILL get messy because that sauce get everywhere. But it's so effing delicious. I don't mind all of that saucy goodness at all. The shrimp is always perfectly fried. Perfectly crispy. Packed full of flavor. Yada yada yada... you get the picture. Just effing GOOD! The only thing that sucks is that everyone ELSE loves this damn food truck too... especially at 2 am when it's sitting conveniently across the street. But trust me, it's so worth the wait! You need to sober up anyways, right? Just wait your turn because when it comes, it'll be heavenly, bay-beh! This is the BEST shrimp shawarma that I've ever had. Yep, right from this little food truck. The guys who work this truck are always working so hard, cooking their asses off back there. I tip my hat to them. Even when I'm not drunk, I hit up this truck and that shrimp shawarma wrap still be tastin' bomb AF! Thank you for staying open late to serve us drunkards (and non-drunkards) quality food. This SOOO much better than any fast food joint. Stop by this truck and fall in love! Just don't stop by when I'm in line because I don't wanna have to wait even longer to get my lovable shrimp shawarma sammich. Thankies! :)

Shrimp Falafel Mix is a convenient Mediterranean food truck with falafels, shawarmas, & gyros that I came across after drinking around Downtown Oakland around the bars. Stationed on Telegraph Ave right by Fox Theater and the DT Oak bars, me and my homies were getting the munchies and saw a pretty long line waiting for food. Couldn't resist the smell so we had to try some late night falafels in DT Oak. Service was super fast as they took our orders (credit or debit card & cash accepted). The line moved quick and we waited about 4-5 min to get our food. The crowd around the truck was pretty lit since everyone stopped by after drinks and they had loud music playing from the speakers of the truck. Ordered a Shrimp Falafel for $10 and it did not disappoint. Stacked with shrimp and veggies with creamy sauce dripping out, felt like heaven in my mouth. Definitely recommend to everyone that come across Shrimp Falafel Mix and stay lit

Someone brought me here on a whim the other night, and I fell in love. The people at this truck were so friendly. There were quite a number of folks for a Wednesday night to stop by. Additionally, the people in the truck were so friendly. I had a mix of falafel, shrimp, and chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. Their white sauce is the best! Will definitely be back!

Ask the Community - Shrimp Falafel Mix

What are the hours for the new cafe? After reading the review I went by last night, but it wasn't open. And the truck wasn't there either.

Does Shrimp Falafel Mix cater for parties? If so, where could I find a quote for under 50 people? Thanks!…

We ordered a mini lamb wrap, mini chicken wrap, rose tamarind drink and mint lemonade. The lamb was gristly and dry, so I preferred the chicken wrap, but was disappointed to find that it featured only chicken (well-seasoned and juicy) and did not have any tomatoes, cucumbers, or other vegetables like the lamb wrap did. The chicken wrap was only chicken and lavash. Perhaps it was an oversight on the staff's part, even though the restaurant was not busy during a Friday lunch. And it also still took some time to get our orders out even though we were the only ones in line and there were only two other parties eating there. Maybe there were tons of to-go orders they had to fulfill? I'll be sure to check out the Santa Clara location as well in the future, but for this luncheon, we had to temper our disappointment by going around the corner to get some Gregory's.

The kabeb dishes came with grilled tomato, grilled pepper, rice with tadig on top. They also make this pink butter to put on the rice. Food is good and everything was seasoned well and not over cooked. I want to give this place a try again but they need to work on their customer service. They catered more to other tables and we didn't even get offered the dessert menu like the other tables around us. Also, we had to ask for the check and no one even came to check if we were ready to pay we had to go up there.

I got an assortment of Turkish delight and some pistachio baklava ($2.99). The Turkish delight is sold by weight across all the varieties and goes for $16.99/lb. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and offered us a sample of one of the flavors to try which I thought was a nice gesture. Everything looked so good, so we picked a couple different pieces of Turkish delight to try. To my surprise, my favorite ended up being the saffron, though rose petal with pomegranate and sour cherry with pastachio were close seconds. I didn't like the coconut or the chocolate one that much, so reminder to myself to skip those next time. After picking up the dessert, I did a quick circle around the store to see what they had.
