We had Oasis come out and swap out our deck with Trex a few years back and they did a great job. Fast forward to today. I noticed that the 2 beams holding up the deck were looking warped and bending a bit. We were concerned about the stability of the beams. I don't know much about construction, but they sure did. I went with this contractor to do work after reading their reviews on Angie's List. They had an in house designer that provided drawings, samples and seemed to care more about my little "remodel" than I could ever expect from a third party. I must have changed my mind so many times, I cannot remember where we even started! This firm is great! They made me feel like I was on one of those shows on TV! So much attention to detail it was nutty! No, they didn't do anything with my roof - but, I'd let them. Yes, they were exceptionally fine craftsmen. read more

While exterior work on our 100-year-old home was acceptable, we do not recommend the Oasis Construction management team, which is basically Jordan Engman. Prior to this project, we discussed the likelihood of demolition discovery requiring change orders--which indeed occurred and for which we paid mightily. Jordan Engman's general frustration with these change orders evolved into disrespectful/delayed customer service, condescending verbal and electronic communication, and thousands of dollars of time and materials added to our bill without explanation. This unacceptable management style is guaranteed to disrupt your life far beyond general construction while Oasis is on your property. read more

Jordan, 'the estimator" was rude to me starting from the first seconds of our conversation. He must have really bad personal problems, because I've never seen such behavior from a company rep EVER. he came to a roofing project estimate without a ladder or any other equipment. he asked me where the roof leak is. I said I need him to look at the roof, estimate the damage and give me a quote for a repair or a replacement. after that he flipped out and left saying that there must be a miscommunication issue. obviously he shouldn't be in the roofing business if he comes out to site and refuses to look at the roof. congratulations,Oasis, you just lost a customer. read more

Made 2 separate confirmed appointments (about 1 month apart) and both times flaked out by Oasis Roofing & Construction. Then their poor excuse was that they already came by and looked at the site and 'met' with owner with photograph - that owner must of mistaken Oasis for someone else. Well hello! I'm so glad we didn't 'met' and estimate... imagine if the "forgotten" contract was actually awarded to such unprofessional and lame outfit! I can't recommend Oasis Construction highly enough. They do the job right the first time. I have several rental properties, 2 had water problems. Oasis fixed the root of the problem in both properties after 3 other contractors couldn't fix it. They get it right the first time thereby saving you money. We had such an okay experience with Oasis! We bought our house knowing that a roof replacement was coming in the next 5 or so years. When we hired a handy-man to clean our roof for the summer we found out that now was the time to do it. We were referred to Oasis by a friend who is a contractor and met with a salesman quickly. We were able to bundle some window replacements for the a discounted price - which was great. Jordan and Elliot's team started while we were out of town for Memorial Day weekend. We received an update after demo that there was some dry-rot and that our chimney needed to be sealed due to some leaky spots - we don't have a fireplace anymore so this was just fine and we gave the green light to move forward. They had said that they would finish over the weekend, but took into Tuesday due to the dry-rot. The hammering kept our son awake on Monday - so on Tuesday I shot an email to Elliot asking if there was anything they could do to wrap up that day. They did just that - the roof looks great and our neighbors can't stop raving about how kind the whole crew was and how quietly they did the whole replacement. A few weeks after they finished we noticed a lot of debris in our crawl spaces (which we use frequently to store baby items). I had to crawl around in there cleaning up pieces of roofing material, nails, and dust - it was a mess. I emailed about it and was told that when the windows were done, the area would be cleaned. I didn't want to wait - so I took care of it myself and when the windows were done there was no mention of cleaning the area. As mentioned, we had Oasis do our windows. The finishes product looks great, but the hand-holding required to get there seemed unnecessary. The window crew was extremely nice. One concern I had with replacing our windows was that the framing would be rough in the end and we would have to hire a contractor to fix it. Our salesperson assured us that the interior window sills would be the exact same. The job was supposed to take 2 days, but on the first day the one person who came out to work ended up spending the entire day on 1 window (9 were being replaced). He found that the framing was not done right and he needed to redo it. This was fine, it was framing within the wall and there was no way for them to predict it. We accepted the additional expense, and time and said to move forward with framing them properly. Then we found out that the exterior flashing on the windows was aluminum and would have to be custom ordered to be replaced with the same product. This was frustrating - this is something that is visible from the exterior of the house and should have been caught prior to beginning the project. In the end the interior framing was different, and very rough. A shower curtain rod was broken, and an AC unit left on our roof overnight. We brought this to Elliot's attention and we were reimbursed for the shower rod, the framing was finished nicely and the AC unit was brought inside the following day but the fact of the matter is - I shouldn't have to point these things out. read more

Really liked the roofing job, but there were several problems that were not taken care of to my satisfaction. We had a deck carved out of our roof where at one time we had a hot tub. By the time they came to do the roof the hot tub and any damage caused by it leaking was already taken care of. After the roofing, the flashing around that deck was not secure and we have gotten new leaks which Oasis does not seem very helpful to fix. Jordan stated that it is probably a deck flashing problem not theirs. However, I hired them to do the roof and make it safe from leakage. They should have foreseen the problem since their work was done last. Also they installed new gutters which had to be reconfigured due to a wrong pitch. We did sustain some siding problems which Jordan said could not be their fault. The main problem is that they installed only a down spout at the edge of our foundation so that in heavy rains, the basement floods. They needed to add a trough or catchment that ran a ways from the house. He denied that was their problem. Now we must repair all of these issues. After talking to Jordan I ascertained that I would not be helped out by their lifetime warranty. Pretty inconsiderate in my book. read more

From start to finish, working with Oasis was an pleasure. I met Jordan last year when he provided me with a rooftop deck estimate. I called Jordan again because I remembered how friendly and knowledgeable he was about all things roofing and decking. Their office assistant scheduled an appointment promptly for me. Jordan assessed the roof and talked through the issues I was having and various options of fixing them. I'd had three other roofers come up who refused to even give me a proposal because the job was going to be tricky. Jordan was knowledgeable and transparent about my options and did not take advantage of the tough spot I was in. Elliot and his team came to start the project about a month later (I had to push the project back for personal reasons). Elliott was also very knowledgeable and professional, as was the team he had working with him. I felt safe and confident that Elliot and his team were going to take care of my home as though it was their own. They ran into some trouble spots: unexpected dry rot, needing to completely remove and rebuild a wall in order to ensure 100% waterproofing, removing and replacing glass windshields. The team took all of this in stride and the finished roof exceeded my expectations. I will absolutely call Jordan, Elliot and the guys at oasis for future work on my home. I haven't found anyone else in the industry to be as knowledgeable, forthright and friendly as them. read more

i'm not sure where to start as i have a mixed review for Oasis. the quality of the work done on my house was great- it looks awsome, however the communication from my project manager Jordan and his organizational skills are lacking at best. i got more info from the workers at my house than i got from him. i told him what my expectations were for my project and communication before work was started. as mistakes were made and i got angry only to be blamed for his lack of communication, and when i asked questions as work happened i was told i didn't know what i was talking about. (unfortunately for him i do) short version was tree fell thru my roof, insurance was contacted and contracts were signed. we waited for 5 weeks for any work to begin (during which time i felt windows should have been ordered and the specialty made soffit materials- we offered the 30% down to order these) my 3 weeks of construction work turned into 6+, the sub-contractors did have a few issues with getting supplies correct which added to the project length . Additional damage was found after work started and i requested photos to be sent to insurance on the day it happened, but after 8 + weeks and threats of non-payment Jordan was still not compliant with my insurance company for this request. i'm still waiting for the rest of the photos to be sent to my insurance company. so think twice about using them for insurance claims unless you plan to have them bill insurance directly, since billing also didn't understand that their non-compliance held up the check for other contractors we also had to pay. oh and we were going to get charged a late fee for not paying on time, because they didn't finish emailing digital photos- cause that's my fault too! read more

So my new-to-me house has a 'low slope' roof which is not ideal for Seattle. I had no idea what to do for maintenance or repair. I called Oasis roofing and met with a project manager. He explained the various types of roofing systems and coating, and then he discussed my roof using lots of pictures he took while he was up there. He did not try to upsell me and told me I should have about 4 more years left on my roof. He did write up a quote for various options so I can prepare. He did not try to sell me something I did not need and was great about answering all my questions. So I did not actually buy a roof yet but was very happy with Oasis customer service so far. read more

Oasis is a friendly, professional company. We originally had LP siding on our home covered with vynil siding, in other words, a mess. Oasis replaced it with Hardy Plank and it looks amazing.
