The drinks and desserts are beautifully presented with charming Hello Kitty touches that make them almost too cute to eat. Everything we tried was fresh, delicious, and perfect for a quick sweet break while shopping at Valley Fair. The staff was friendly and efficient, and despite how popular it is, the service moved quickly. If you're looking for a fun photo opportunity, a cute gift, or simply want to enjoy themed drinks and treats, Hello Kitty Cafe is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back for more!

Then again, vibe is probably 99% of the reason people would come here for afternoon tea, haha. The cups, sugar cubes, utensils are all HK based which is a cute touch. Afternoon tea takes place is a private room, which is also a nice escape from the busy mall. In terms of food, it is a miss for me. Everything was way too sweet and the taste was not very good. The quantity of food is actually pretty big (I'd skip lunch if you're interested) and we ended up taking a lot of it home. There was one strawberry tart that was pretty delicious, but that is about it. In terms of service, I'd describe it was poor. The cashier was not super friendly directing us to the check in spot and orders would take awhile. To the point where we had to ask multiple times for the same thing despite only a small number of customers being there at the time. I also tried asking some questions on their online portal but received no response. The experience was cute and all, but considering the price, the service, and the food, I would not recommend it.

Came here for the Neko Oji-san collaboration, as that's how I learned about the cafe (I love the…read morecomedy short form manga online, check it out!). Parking nearby is horrendous, super busy even on the weekdays before the rush hour so I can't imagine weekends when people are out or other high traffic times. Get ready to make some rounds and pay for parking and be careful since there's very specific signage and times. The cafe itself is cute and cozy. Front area is a gift shop with lots of cat themed gifts and goodies like keychains, stickers, and such, and also some items from local and small artists too, which is neat. The cafe also has community events like movie showings ("The Cat Returns" was one of them which is a great choice) and cat yoga. If you're local, you can also get a time stamp if you are a frequent visitor. Definitely follow their socials for more information. There's reservations online and you can also do walk ins if it's not super busy. You can book for a 55 minute visit or a 30 minute visit. PRO-TIP: There's a discount for students, so if you want to be surrounded by some feline friends while you study or relax, great place to do so. You can hang your coat on the rack and there's a mini shelf area for your shoes. So you gotta walk in with socks! With each visit you can either get a hot cup of tea or a cold can or box drink from their fridge (sparking water, juices, etc.). Very refreshing and you can enjoy it in the cat area too. Sanitize your hands before and after visiting. There's lots of cats hiding around, sleeping, walking around, and some are super friendly and will go into your lap. There's toys you can play with the cats with and there's a wall of adoptable cats. Lots of seats or you can opt to sit on the floor with the cats too. There's relaxing lo-fi music throughout too. Pretty cool that they rescued 2 cats from Qatar and neat that we got to see them. As with all cats, some can be a bit spicy but it's usually just a warning teeth rub. I own cats so there's nothing new. I'm horribly allergic to the cat that specifically lives in my house, but I didn't get an allergy here, meaning that the cats are clean and well taken for. My favorite was a large sleepy orange boy, Ron (permanent non-adoptable resident) that was hanging out next to me the entire time.

Luckily, the worker called his manager and got approval for my son to go in. You can't pick the cats up sadly but if you sit down one will Forsure make its way into your lap. Whether you are in the mood for a katsu sando, curry over rice, ochazuke with their matcha twist, or something sweet like the matcha cream pie, it is hard to go wrong here. All of the savory dishes I have tried have been great, but the fish katsu sando is one of my absolute favorites. The huge fish fillets are perfectly fried and flaky, tucked inside pillowy shokupan and topped with tangy yuzu shio koji sauce, tomato spread, and fresh crunchy cabbage. Every component works together beautifully, with richness, brightness, and texture all in balance. The pork katsu curry over rice is another standout. The katsu comes sliced into thick pieces that are still juicy inside, and it is fried expertly so the breading stays attached as you eat it. The curry has a really balanced flavor, even if I would not mind a little more spice, while the pickled radishes provide a nice contrast. I always add an onsen egg (for an additional $2) because breaking the runny yolk and mixing it into the curry adds another layer of velvety richness and creaminess. You can also tell they use high-quality matcha in their drinks, so the beverage menu is really more about choosing what fits your mood that day vs avoiding any bad options. Stonemill Matcha is a great option for a grabbing a drink on the go, a full blown sit down meal, a quick dessert stop or all of the above!

My husband likes their Breakfast Gozen, which is exclusive to weekday dine-in. Yuzu Fish Sando was my absolute ultimate pregnancy craving; it was a seasonal item and glad it's now permanent on the menu. The only downside is that there always seem to be quite a few mosquitoes inside the restaurant. Maybe I'm just the only one bothered by it, but it's worth noting.
