A very laid back coffee shop where you can read a book or work for hours. They sell food, coffee, and tea. The back of the coffee shop is very spacious and it has a piano and couch.

Only been here twice, but you can be damn sure the third and future visits will be stellar. I am greeted by the same lady who always asks more than any just the standard greeting, which I love. She is an efficient multi-tasker, making sure that her (likely) quickly-passing-through customers can rush off to their next destination after ordering. As for the actual food & drink - I've only had the Banana Mocha, but it was lovely both times. I'd say it's closer to a lightly sweetened chocolate latte - not overpoweringly sweet as one might first imagine. They sell Pebbles (berries / red velvet) vegan donuts, (plain, chocolate, almond) croissants, and baked bars, along with some more shelf-stable baked goods and instant oatmeal. I had the blueberry donut & a plain croissant my first two times - cause believe it or not the actual donut shops within a block of there always seem to have a line (good for them though!).

Due to the pandemic, I will be removing criteria that I had added to my reviews, such as restaurant ambience, mood, and wait time. This review will only focus on the dish. Quick Summary: - Coffee is not sour, deep and nutty - Pastries pair well with the coffee - A short walking distance from the Macarthur BART station - Music is trendy pop My family and I were planning to walk around the Macarthur area, but first we decided to find a place to have our first cup of coffee. After some searching, we found a coffee place just within walking distance from the Macarthur BART station. I ordered the caffe latte, and the banana mocha for my relative who prefers sweet coffee drinks. We were able to have our coffee inside, so we sat in the available tables and chairs that were close to the entrance and the counter. When I look behind me, there is another room - closed off for now - that is filled with empty chairs and tables. On a normal day, I could see there would usually be more guests sitting in the back room. Since we decided to drink inside, the coffee arrived in the most adorable cups I have ever seen in a coffee shop. As well as the cup designs, I also adore the interior design of the cafe. That was, in fact, one of the reasons why I decided to stop by this cafe. I love furniture with a classic and cottage like look. I mostly drank the caffe latte, but I did try the banana mocha too. The coffee flavor is deep and rich, a good energy for the morning and afternoon walk. It was a good balance of coffee and milk, and no change in acidity or bitterness to the last sip. The banana mocha was delicious too; not too sweet so it also paired well with the pastry we ordered along with our coffee. Speaking of pastry, I ordered the raspberry lemon bar. The sour, tartness is mild in this dessert, and I got a burst of raspberry in each bite. It was a very satisfying taste. I'm usually for sour lemon bars, but this one was so good I might change my preference. I loved the cafe here, so I would like to visit here again.

What a nice place to work, to have a matcha latte, to just enjoy a lil bit outside and change the routine. What most important thing for me, it is pet friendly. You will have a great time here, with a good service.

After passing by this place many times while catching the bus, I finally decided to to treat myself today. From the outside, this coffee shop looks rly small but there is a large seating area in the back with unique art. The cashier greeted me as I walked in and was super kind. I ordered the egg and cheese sandwich and an iced latte. Both were reasonably priced for a cafe! I love the cups they use for the coffee, and it had a solid well balanced taste. The egg and cheese sandwich was great too! I appreciate the freshness and quality of the ingredients, as the sandwich was steaming when I got it. The english muffin was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft in the inside, which paired well with the melted cheese and fluffy egg. I think they cooked the egg perfectly (it was not dry at all). This cafe is super chill and relaxing and I love the back seating area which is great for studying. The music is not TOO loud either. I will definitely try the banana mocha next time! *I also appreciate that they make an effort to check vaccination cards and ID if you are dining in, which most cafes don't seem to do!

It is a sweet little place, and I love the homey decor. We were looking for a little spot to have a good coffee and conversation and it was perfect for us. Coffee was really good and service was good. Would definitely go back

I used to pass this café everyday on my way to Bart, and finally stopped in. I'm grateful that I did! This one of Oakland's hidden gems. I asked the barista to recommend a drink for me. I was very skeptical when he told me to try the "banana mocha", but it was surprisingly delicious! I also love the decor and the spacious lounge area. It is the perfect place to take your laptop or tablet if you need to get some work done or watch a video. I will definitely be returning!

Whatever they are brewing on any given day is really tasty! I have to think their pour overs would be fantastic. One thing we sort of wish they had was a comfy couch and some books, and maybe a nice rug or something? A little something to make it feel cozier if we were to stay there with or drinks, but that being said we will continue to make this our go to place for good coffee on the weekends. Don't get me wrong, they do have lot of good seating options, and not the tippy, high barstool types without back support that seem designed to discourage people from staying long. I pedaled my bike over there this Wednesday morning, aiming to secure a proper breakfast that would actually carry me past 11 a.m. The shop is cozy, definitely on the smaller side with a few seats inside, giving it that familiar, neighborhood spot feel. It's not a sprawling, antiseptic café, and I appreciate that. I ordered the Laney Breakfast Sandwich, which features egg, fresh spinach, sliced turkey, and Swiss cheese on a toasted English muffin. What impressed me was the intentionality--this wasn't something sitting under a heat lamp, looking defeated. It was clearly made to order. The egg was seasoned right, the turkey wasn't flimsy, and the spinach added that necessary fresh bite. It was a damn good sandwich, simple as that. I paired that with the Berry Lovers Smoothie. The original recipe calls for banana, but I asked if they could swap that out for mango. My people know that mango adds a different kind of sunshine, and they executed the substitution flawlessly. It came out thick, perfectly blended--a rich mix of blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and that mango kick. It was super refreshing and didn't taste like I was drinking melted ice. The service was quick and friendly, which is key on a weekday morning. Everything tasted clean, fresh, and intentionally prepared. If you're looking for high-quality breakfast fare that feels less commercial and more like something someone actually cares about, stop by. The short bike ride and the intimate seating are worth it for what comes out of that kitchen. They earned this review.

I'm very picky about lemonade, and theirs is one of the best I've had in a long time. Not too sweet or sour and very refreshing.
