We visited last Saturday afternoon. We were immediately given a table and promptly forgotten. We waited over 15 minutes without being acknowledged by any staff member although several servers passed our table. After 15 minutes, we took a good look around and left. Too many good restaurants to have to put up with terrible service. My wife and I will not be returning. Restaurants have one chance at giving a favorable first impression and sadly Oar & Iron failed to do so. read more

This place is beautiful inside. Very elevated decor and menu. Heather W helped us with some picks since everything on the menu looked amazing. The cocktail menu was also impressive since it's all super fresh ingredients. You can tell the scratch kitchen brings the flavor. read more

Had a wonderful meal at Oar and Iron. Food is delicious and restaurant has a nice atmosphere..Our server Nikki was amazing.

We had the most wonderful time at Oar and Iron! Our server, Tyler, was so kind, fun and helpful. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of our questions. One member of our party has allergies and he explained how seriously the restaurant takes that. They have a designated allergy friendly kitchen that allows for no cross contamination. The food is delicious and unique. The hummus appetizer and the Brussel sprouts were especially good. The decor is gorgeous and gives the place and upscale, yet friendly vibe. We will be back. It's a great addition to the area. read more

Good, service and ambiance terrific. Nikki was put served. She was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive - couldn't ask for better! We've been to the 120 Grille inertial, Ma and loved it..... the Oar and Iron surpasses it - the menu amazing for people with celiac !! Thank you for coming to SW Florida! Now, please come to Bradenton!!! read more

Sat at the bar for happy hour on a Friday, drinks were great, food was very good and Teagan our bartender was awesome!

Food and service were great! Atmosphere was fantastic too!! We will definitely be back!!!!

I ordered the roasted chicken. It was delicious. Two other friends with me share this opinion. There people order the chicken bucantini which was also enjoyed. However, their over-priced lobster tails had so much sauce on you could not taste the lobster at all. It's ashamed to take such a delicious dish and ruin it. read more

Oar & Iron - American Near Me - Parrish, Florida

Good food and service, the lobster bisque was awesome with chunks of lobster, Nice inside and outside area nice ambiance

Arrived and were greeted and seated immediately. Maria our waitress was fabulous. We ordered caprice chicken and a grouper sandwich. It was 1 piece of fried chicken breast covered with tomato, pesto and cheese And what looked like a bag salad with shaved cheese for 26 dollars. The grouper sandwich was not worth 24 dollars. Culver's makes a better fish sandwich. Awfully expensive and left hungry. Save your time and hard earned money. Ferarros and 60 east are way better read more

I was excited to dine at Oar and Iron in Parrish, Florida. So dissatisfied! The prices are ridiculously high for what you are served! The burger had pieces of gristle thur out. Plus it was miserably cold in the restaurant! It was 60 degrees that day and the a/c was down so low I kept moving to avoid the cold air. I made a suggestion to the bartender that she needed to turn the a/c to a higher temperature. Nothing was done...she laughed and said that it was always cold! I would never go back. Prices are just outrageous. read more

Great food served quickly and hot! Tyler kept the service level too notch and is an excellent waiter!

By far Tyler was a great server. His service was better than the food. Party of 11 and half the table had great food. The other half it was ok. Overall great atmosphere. They better lower their prices or else they won't be around long. read more

Hi all - love giving great reviews. Especially for mom and pop shops. I moved to Parrish Fl two months ago. I want to love this place. I do. First time I came, i had been painting and cleaning and looked like a hot mess but they welcomed me anyway. I tip well so figured it's all good. I sat at the bar, salad and wine - perfection. Teagan was engaging and on point. Fantastic! Found my place right out the gate. Second time. Bar is empty. Bartender took a solid 20 mins to acknowledge me. Ordered a drink. He never came back. Second associate asked if i needed a menu. Nope - @ 40 mins, i left. Still want to love this place. Did I mention it's immaculate? Go again a third time with two friends and their teenage kids - sat at a booth - sorry forgot the rockstars name - fantastic server . Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Well worth the $300+ for lunch. Yes you read that right $347.00 for lunch - to be exact. You see where i am going with this? Thats totally fine - but knock my socks off!!! Go again with one friend. Sit at the bar. Three soups - all sold out. No worries. It happens. They charge for bread. Sorry. But if your soup is sold out - comp the darn bread. Again, i don't complain. I get it. I pay for it. Fair. We are from Boston and steak tips are non existent down here. They had them. We both got them but cooked differently. I loved mine. She did not. She sent it back and they took it off the bill. I hate that. But I get it. Still tip well. Grrrrr i go again. This place is so close by. I want to love it. I want it to be my place. Tonight they finally had the lobster bisque, correct my bougie ass but isn't lobster bisque supposed to have one lobster claw (well the meat of claw)? Right. Nope. Pure liquid. It tasted divine so i let the claw slide. I got cold over cooked burnt on the outside raw on the inside cold to the touch tips. Handsome bar keep took them off and I hate that because he should be tipped on the $58. Dollar tip. I digress.... 5 times - 3 strikes - like an ass, I shall try again!! read more

Great food! Service good. Price a little high. We were in front of kitchen,Loud but fun seeing all the different meals going to the tables. Everything looked yummy! read more

Our party of 4 was greeted by a friendly staff member and seated promptly. Our server was Leeann who was extremely accommodating, attentive and friendly. We started with happy hour drinks and an app of fried pickles which were quite tasty. Entrees were good and you could tell they were fresh (burgers, coconut shrimp and salmon) - everyone was very happy with the flavor of their meals, although the fish was a tad bit "fishy" tasting. Drinks were very well made - a true mixologist must've been behind the bar! While we northerners found the prices to be commensurate with the quality of the food, our parents from the area are accustomed to less expensive options locally that are similar in quality, so they weren't impressed. We all agreed that charging $2 for "water service" is absurd - seriously, who charges for water?!? Would have been nice to have a water to accompany our meal and cocktails, but on principle we didn't get water. We enjoyed our meal but might not rush back for dinner. Happy hour specials in the lounge are well priced and we'd definitely come back for that, but the water charge definitely rubbed us the wrong way - might want to reconsider that one. Overall a solid meal which we really enjoyed, but we're not rushing back there for a full dinner as the value for what we received was as expected. Given the location, the price point is a tough sell, but the food was tasty and of very good quality and our server Leeann was great so that won't disappoint... read more

Our first visit. Ambience was nice, upscale and comfortable. We were greeted at door with friendly and efficient staff. We were waited on promptly by a nice and engaging waitress that sold us on how fresh the seafood was and our excellent choice of ordering two best meals. Also the most expensive. My wife ordered snapper entree and I ordered bays scallops. A $10 charge for "bread service" and $2.00 for regular water. The "fresh snapper" not flaky and had to be cut. I tasted one bite of wife's fish and it was hit with heavy "not fresh fishy taste. If you really know fresh fish you know it's flaky and does not come to you like it was warmed up and a slight singe on one side to show it hit a hot flat top. Scallops not as bad tasting but again served with a partial slight sear on one side and one with no sear at all. Wonder how they cooked my fresh scallops? You can guess. Anyway, everything good except food quality, cooking execution and over selling a high priced low quality products. Spent about $130 for lunch which included one cocktail. I don't mind spending that amount for good food but I will not be going back. read more
