This location recently opened and it was our first time trying it for after-church lunch. The restaurant was not busy. Service was great. Our waitress was friendly and professional with a cheerful personality. Portions were huge and the food was good, but not amazing. The decaf coffee was robust and my husband liked the sweet tea. We tried the Brie and pear flatbread with hot honey. We would recommend this - definitely enough for 4 to 6 people. Bread service is extra and comes with jalapeño cornbread mini muffins, rye rolls (not a strong flavor) and bread with compound butter and berry jam with whole blueberries in it. My favorite was the muffins. I tried the sirloin steak tips which tasted good but seemed more like steak frites steak than the tips I expected. The sprouts were good - I did ask for them extra crispy. The garlic mashed potatoes seemed a little thin to me like they made them with water instead of cream so they could be vegan? My husband tried the grouper and clam risotto. He enjoyed it but had missed that there was bacon in the risotto and thought it was too chewy. read more

strip mall nonsense. Being from a metropolitan area, this "restaurant" does not measure up. Poor service, food was unimaginative and basic, prices were far too high. Environment is not great. Combined with the 100s of fake or paid for reviews, this place should be ashamed of itself. It'll close like Kelly's, it'll just take longer because of the false advertising. read more

Smallest piece of grouper I have ever seen on the largest bun they could bake! Extremely salty and it had a stick from some plant in it! Prices are extremely high for the area. The decor and facilities are beautiful but I go to a restaurant for the food not the view!! read more

Just got back from oar & iron and I have to say I was not impressed. The bill with 4 people was $350 with two cocktails and two beers. The prime rib was the worst I've ever had. I had to send it back because it was well done, not medium. The potatoes were ice cold. The other people dining with us said the meal was just okay. I was really hoping it would be good. Tyler provided us with exceptional customer service! We really enjoyed our experience at the restaurant. We love the extra steps that are taken to ensure that the food we ate were Gluten free. Went here around 2 PM on a Friday because the new aqua tequila had a long way and it was very crowded. We were seated right away. Place was mostly empty maybe eight or 10 tables taken, including outside one waitress serving the whole restaurant a bit of a weight for food and drink waitress was very good trying her hardest very pleasant though or an iron burger was delicious. The cheese and steak sandwich was OK not your usual steak and cheese and some gristle in it. I don't know if I'd go there again. I'll leave it up to you to try it. read more

I have eaten here 3 times since it has opened. It is a little pricey, but the quality of food is outstanding. Service is good, you can tell that they have just opened people still a little, unsure of stuff. I've enjoyed every meal, especially the steak bites. Had the prime rib I would not recommend. Went to this restaurant 3/2 was not pleased at all! My food iron dip was not hot when it came out also my husband did getthe ribs but also same problem. The bartender who was waiting g on us that we had already paid and gave generous tip we now having a women who is helping him telling g me we did not pay for our key lime pie. I told her we did not order key li.e pie. She said bartender said you ordered it. He came over and told us it was the other customer who left and did not pay. Beef O Brady's will save you $30. 2nd time there because I believe in second chances. They should be serving 5 to 7 years for the robbery they just committed. We love this restaurant! It is definitely the Best restaurant in the Parrish area. The bar is big & beautiful & the barters ate exceptional. We love going there on Friday nights. There's so many people from Massachusetts there it feels like home. We love the Bartender B & Tina they are a fantastic team. Get the short rib, gnocchi's and a wedge salad. I ordered the crabcake sliders and the hamburger sliders and the Aji tuna bowl and the salad Caesar salad The crab cake had no flavor whatsoever and the hamburger was good. The Caesar salad was too wet and it was the wrong dressing for the Caesar salad and they put banana chips in it for garnish the ahi tuna had no flavor whatsoever. It was completed dry as a bone. We visited last Saturday afternoon. We were immediately given a table and promptly forgotten. We waited over 15 minutes without being acknowledged by any staff member although several servers passed our table. After 15 minutes, we took a good look around and left. Too many good restaurants to have to put up with terrible service. My wife and I will not be returning. Restaurants have one chance at giving a favorable first impression and sadly Oar & Iron failed to do so. read more

We had the most wonderful time at Oar and Iron! Our server, Tyler, was so kind, fun and helpful. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and answered all of our questions. One member of our party has allergies and he explained how seriously the restaurant takes that. They have a designated allergy friendly kitchen that allows for no cross contamination. The food is delicious and unique. The hummus appetizer and the Brussel sprouts were especially good. The decor is gorgeous and gives the place and upscale, yet friendly vibe. We will be back.
