Quintessential neighborhood coffee shop where everyone seems to know everyone. Got a couple of coffees and amaretti cookies, and enjoyed just sitting there and soaking in the casual vibe. It's in an old-school Italian area, so at times I almost felt like I was on The Bear with the type of people coming in and out and the lively conversations all around. This spot is great and I hope it never changes. read more

One of the few spots in Toronto where you can find a real cappuccino like you'd get in Europe. Perfectly balanced, with the right ratio of espresso to milk and that silky foam on top -- not the oversized, watered-down versions you get elsewhere. It's become my weekend ritual to stop by here, and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is lively, the pastries look amazing, and the quality of the coffee keeps me coming back. Definitely a place I'd recommend to anyone looking for an authentic cappuccino experience in the city. read more

Cute little coffee shop! Walked here on a nice day and there were plenty of dogs outside. The place it's self is small, but cozy. They have lots of options to choose from for both coffee and food! The baristas were very nice as well. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice neighborhood coffee shop! read more

Oakwood Espresso - Vanilla latte and Chocolate Croissant - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

My latte was good, but the almond croissant is exceptional! I would go back for that any day! The espresso was tasty too. This is a cute neighborhood coffee shop, where they have a loyal following and a lot of regulars. Be prepared to wait a bit on the weekend. read more

Oakwood Espresso - Store front - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

Where do I begin? Oakwood Espresso is ah-mazing! The service is always friendly, and the coffee never disappoints! A cute take out coffee shop open all hours of the day! The one thing I do enjoy is being able to go by later in the day as other coffee shops tend to close fairly early. Coffee anytime of the day is my type of love language. The espresso is superb and everything overall! Worth the trip and walk if you are close by! read more

Oakwood Espresso - a bench in front of a store - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

Great little coffee shop. Excellent service. Cappuccino and lattes are delicious. Wonderful neighborhood feel.

Awesome neighbourhood cafe. It's cozy which makes you chat with almost everyone in there. They use great beans and even better technique to extract all the flavour and caffeine. They know their clientele and will customize drinks for their regulars. Prices are quite reasonable for such a good cup of joe. read more

Love the coffee here. Great staff and Tony is great, always remembers my dog's name. Ive never once had a bad trip here, lots of places to sit outside or hang out inside and chat. read more

True espresso based coffee has arrived in Oakwood Village!! I can't lie. I'm not going to walk past too many places before I have my coffee in the morning. I need it dammit, but since I've moved up the Village I've been drinking a lot of so so coffee, some may even say bad coffees. Well my prayers have been answered. Oakwood Espresso has opened and given me a new focus for my morning walks. Its a pretty store, bench outside, tucked just off Oakwood Avenue across from the library. Inside is dominated by a big marble topped counter and a gleaming espresso machine. I had one of their cappuccinos and my wife had a latte. Both were excellent! I would have taken a pastry but they were all out by 10:30. A good sign I think. Service was great, really enjoyed the experience. Looking forward to repeats. Be sure to ask for one of their loyalty cards. Buy 9 coffees get the 10th free. read more

Great morning place for coffee and scones. It is great to stand outside (even in the rain!) with the regulars and soak in the neighborhood chat (from 2 meters). The staff are very friendly and started my day off with a smize. The coffee was delicious and I enjoyed my blueberry scone. There are benches and chairs outside when the weather suits. read more

I really want to follow the trend and give this place 5 stars, it's so important to the surrounding neighbourhood. The only reason I am not, is because there is a couple of slightly better coffee options south on St Clair. I'm biased because they are my local, however I can totally see this place being preferred by others and it's still a highly recommend visit. read more

First of all the shop itself is super adorable, love the decor. But what really makes it special (other than the phenomenal coffee) is the man himself making it. An incredibly sweet individual who greeted everyone who entered, most by name. Will certainly be back, time and time again. read more

Tony and his staff are wonderful and the coffee is excellent, it's a great addition to the neighborhood. I just ask one favour of people....please don't park like an @$$hole on the street! Otherwise, this is definitely the only spot for coffee around! read more

When getting Coffee in the morning from an espresso establishment part of the experience is the interaction with staff. Interacting with employees (and in this case the owner) that are passionate about Coffee or Tea and seem to like their job can put a smile on your face even before consuming any beverage. I don't know the proprietor's name but he's clearly passionate about Coffee and REALLY skilled at making espressos, macchiatos, cappuccinos etc. They taste delicious, prices are low and he's generous with the shots. Aside from more space what more can you ask for? read more

Finally! This place has the best coffee around for miles. Tony is a master barista. Welcome to the neighborhood Oakwood Espresso. You have set a new high bar for quality, class and service in the area. Long may your caffeine run through my veins. read more

Came here with my boyfriend Sunday morning as we were ending our run, cool little shop with amazing coffee, however could have done without the baristas buds sitting near the counter carrying a conversation with them while the shop was full of paying customers, it did feel a little unwelcoming. read more

My friends and I go to university in Chicago and came up to Toronto for our spring break. Firstly I'd like to say the city of Toronto has treated us so well, and ending our stay with a stop at Oakwood Espresso was the way to go. It was by far one of the coolest places we went to, and if I lived in Toronto I'd come here every day bar none. The vibe was so chill, familiar, and friendly, and the espresso itself was divine. The cups are compostable, the barista was talented, and the customers made us feel welcome (shout out to the man who photo-bombed us.) Please take advantage of this freaking gem of an espresso bar. read more

The best coffee! My favourite place for an oak milk latte. The service is always great and they also offer gluten free cookies.

Local caffeine spot. The best quality coffees I've ever had plus some great price options for kids like vanilla lattes and hot chocolate (made to just the right temperature). Cold drinks are nice in the summer too with some imported pear juice and san Pelegrino. Great prices, great company and adorable decor. read more

Yummmmm. When I say levelled up, this is the crême de la crême d'espresso! The ambiance. The coffee. The scents. The heart. Simply perfect!

The owner started out installing and fixing espresso machines - so he knows his equipment. My espresso was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Loved the decor and ambiance. Its a cute little place with really friendly staff and regulars. My latte was made well, and I loved their coffee. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area, but keep in mind that it's a tiny place with limited seating so don't expect to set up your laptop and sit around forever. read more

This joint is hands down one of the best coffee spots around!! It's a small location but it packs a powerful punch!! From the retro decor, the staff members (the owner and everyone else who works there), and all round great drinks. It's a shop that's cares about coffee and definitely cares about its customers!! After your first visit you will no doubt be back for more, it maybe small but very welcoming, a favourite for the locals and very relaxing spot in the summertime!! Take my word and visit, you will not be disappointed!! read more

Great little cosy coffee shop with Italian roasts which I love! Best coffee I've had so far in Toronto!

Last time I worked in this area, there was absolutely nothing in regards to getting yourself a good cup of coffee let alone a espresso latte. Today I come back to discover a new estabalishment has opened! Oakwood Espresso is quaint, and if you were walking from the opposite direction of the street it was on you would've missed it. Going inside I discovered it was very well decorated with it's hint of vintage rustic charm, there are old photographs hanging on the walls, & walking canes inside etc. The owner is super nice and welcoming, like you were a guest in his home. I ordered a iced mocha with almond milk, he offers lots of various choices of milk alternatives along with your usual espresso drink menu and freshly baked goods. I can tell this place is going to have a very loyal following, considering the area lacking in quality cafes. There is not a lot of seating, however it would be nice to see them bring in some patio furniture outside for people to enjoy their coffee/espresso drinks. It would bring a lot more attention and life to the shop to see more customers sitting and having a relaxing time. I will definitely be back! read more

First visit on 05/23/2015 and was greatly impressed. Great service with every customer made to feel special. I had a drip coffee and it was delicious. Will definitely be back. I understand they get their baked goods from "Baker and Scone" on St.Clair, so you know they're quality. read more
