    Drip & Croissant
    Justin P.

This is one busy little spot! Came here this morning for a coffee (drip) and an almond croissant to kick off my weekend. The place was quite busy; with a line up of customers waiting to get their caffeine fix. One barista/employee manning the customer orders might have added a slight delay but the space doesn't really allow for multiple people behind the counter. I ordered a regular drip coffee (unsure of the roast) and an almond croissant. I sat in to enjoy my coffee. There is some basic stool and bench seating; quick drink and go kind of setting; more inline with having an espresso vs savouring a cup of coffee over conversation. My coffee was 'okay'. I get the impression they focus more on espresso based drinks. The croissant was not crisp and light but rather dense, heavy and a little soggy; very heavy on the almond paste filling. I was very disappointed with the croissant; expected crisp, flaky and just the right amount of almond paste in the middle. Not sure that I'll return to Mast myself, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who make it their regular stop for all things coffee.

latte was good, service was quick, they also open quite late compared to other cafes I rarely eat the snacks at cafes so this doesn't bother me. I noticed there were a couple fruit flies in the baked goods plastic shelf. think twice before buying those

Cute coffee shop that isn't jam packed with people talking louder than the next person. There's plenty of place to sit and catch up with friends, boss, classroom homework. There's a variety of coffees to pick from too. I settled for the latte and I wasn't disappointed. The employees are super friendly and it gives an overall comfort feeling rather than a coffee shop.

No lack of great coffee shops in Toronto... MAST is no exception. Clean, sleek design in a condo building . Great flat white !

Very small low-key coffee shop tucked away in the corner of a building. There is a very limited amount of 2-seater tables, and a few bar-stool seats inside the shop. It's a very aesthetically looking coffee shop, I love the decor inside (a great place to take Instagram photos). Their menu isn't too big, but they have the usual drinks, with 1-2 unique ones, such as a hot apple cider. Their prices aren't too expensive either, which is good. I would definitely come back and get some work done here. It is a lot quieter than most coffee shops!

Hazelnut Latte and a Toffee Coffee Chocolate Chunk cookie

It's hidden away on a side street intersected at Shuter; i must thank my coworker for introducing me to Mast Coffee :D I'm not usually a coffee drinker, as lattes are usually too bitter or tastes like coffee flavoured milk, but the hazelnut latte here might have converted me, as there's no bitter aftertaste at all! The coffee aroma and hazelnut taste lingers after each sip, but is not overpowering. If you dine-in, your coffee comes out in brightly coloured ceramic cups on a white saucer plate. I got a sky blue one. Feels so fancy and cute haha. Would recommend any of the cookies, esp the toffee coffee chocolate chunk; it's great for dunking. We sat at a 2 seater by the window where the sun shone over our table. It felt so cozy I almost forgot I had work to do. This would be a great alternative to studying at the usual Starbucks or Second Cup cafes. The vibe is one of those 'small conversation but overall quiet with background white noise" types. It's relatively small with only a few tables, and most people were comfortably seated with their laptops so i'm guessing they were lucky to find a table during earlier hours. Come early, order your coffee, tea, snack, and get some studying done. Or, just relax and enjoy the sun.

    Coffee to take home

What a delight. They have a huge tea menu and their coffee is unreal! I got a latte that was to die for. The espresso they use was very rich and dark chocolaty. I also got a bag of their not-so-dark (yes, that's the name) to bring home and it was very nice. Not that same rich flavour (as you would expect with the name) but a very mellow lovely cup of coffee.

This was a great little coffee shop. I had a classic latte with almond milk and it was served to perfection. There was a decent amount of seating available for a lazy Sunday morning and I appreciated the vast amount of natural light shining in through all of the enormous windows. It was quiet and the staff were polite. The decor is aesthetically pleasing -- lots of greenery and simplistic walls. It's not overwhelming and would probably be a great place to come and get some work done. It certainly was a great place to soothe my hangover and hang with a girlfriend. Definitely adding this to my coffee list for Toronto for my next trip.

Found this gem after class and it's safe to say I will be coming again. I got my usual vanilla latte and snagged a carrot cake as well. The carrot cake was a delicious balance of sweetness of icing and cake. Latte was good as well, but nothing special about it. Also, who doesn't like free wifi?! Their password is "no password" - thought I'd add it in since when I came I searched the yelp for the password and nobody had it up despite mentioning free wifi. Service is friendly but I wouldn't be returning just based on that. Let's just say they are nice enough! Their business picks up around 1pm, so to safely secure a seat if you're thinking of staying in, go before then. Seating is limited! Tables come with seats of two but you can also sit at their window seats.

Mast Coffee is a small coffee shop located near Church/Shuter. I dropped by for a beverage and to get some work done on a Tuesday afternoon (free wifi!); they also had a variety of food items like pastries. The shop is small which seats around 10 people and has a lot of natural light due to their windows. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, good coffee in a relaxing space.

Quaint little coffee shop with really chill atmosphere. It's not really busy and there is plenty of seating. Definitely a hidden gem. Plus if you're into hip-hop music the playlist is fire. Coffee is also really balanced, not to acidic that it causes your stomach to toss and turn. Highly recommend!

Best coffee I had in Toronto! I'm from Portland, Oregon, where we get pret-ty damn snooty about our coffee. My latte was great.

Walking inside, the warm cosy lighting and long barista/display counter immediately caught our eye. While it was relatively busy, it was also fairly quiet - perfect for those who wanted a quieter space as well as those looking for soft, casual conversation. We were sucked in by the delectable looking strawberry roll cake in the display counter for an early dessert! The cake was light, fluffy, and not overly sweet, balanced with just the right amount of strawberry & whipped cream filling. We also shared a hot, unsweetened matcha latte. The bitterness of the matcha, creaminess of the frothed milk & whipped cream, and sweetness of the cake were a perfect culinary match :) Would definitely come back for another visit!

I know that the ube trend is taking over but PLEASE before you advertise your product as such, DO YOUR RESEARCH and make sure that you are actually serving the thing. I'm Filipino and not only did I feel so offended by how this tasted, I also felt like I should be refunded. First of, the ube mixture was RED. I don't know where you're getting your ube mixture from but ube is PURPLE. The powder was chunky and did not at all taste like ube. Please, I get it we all want to make money from whats popular but take time to educate yourself. Get it from the right source OR ask a person who knows the product if its being presented right or if tastes remotely close. I'm very disappointed and would no longer be advertising Neo to my friends & family
