This second location is only a couple of weeks old and I already like the vibe. There are long tables and a bench - I love the possibility of conversations when people sit at shared long tables!! The walls are still bare, and I suspect it's just a matter of time for some inspired art to show up. About the main event, coffee, the same focus on excellence followed to the second location. Come here for great coffee and excellent service! Shawn mentioned that they will be a rotation of cookies that are baked onsite - I am excited to come back to see that. Here is a hint always ask for light ice they still give you plenty of ice, even if the cold brew comes out cold. Otherwise you get a cup full of ice. De Mello coffee is expensivei. However, in the scheme of things it is a good value because the coffee beans they use have a good solid caffeine kick and it tastes good! (My overall favorite place is still across the street a couple blocks North at Himalayan coffee. It's folksy, a lot less expensive and I always feel happy there, especially after I get a cute latte art on my drink.). The Coconut island cost $8.50 plus tax or $9.60! De Mello Coffee is creative marketing their coffee beans. They have crazy names by cotton candy, lolipop, birthday cake, dead, man, walking, etc. however, a small bag of beans is super super expensive. But their marketing makes you wanna try it and then afterwards you're like oh I guess I taste something but it's still not worth the cost. I'm sorry if this review leaves you puzzled to go or not. It's worth trying. The baked goods look amazing and as long as you get one that is moist, are excellent. Well, I return? Yes.
