Strawberry matcha tastes like strawberries and milk so not much matcha taste at all. My friend's matcha latte tasted milky too. The croissants however were good! My Nutella croissant was super flaky and gooey inside with Nutella. Great service with indoor and outdoor seating.

Had a really nice time at this cafe. We loved the cortado we got as the coffee was very strong and creamy. The raspberry Croissant we got was very flaky and the filling was sweet. A great place to hang out or catch up with someone or study. They have a selection of the cafe where you are allowed laptops so it's a good place to study as well. The staff was also very kind. My phone was going to die and I forgot my charger, they allowed me to use their behind the bar. Definitely recommend trying and I'm looking forward to coming back to try their other drinks.

Cafe X Bica, located on Pears Ave near Bedford and Davenport, is Toronto's newest coffee shop around the Yorkville area. I was drawn to this place because of the beautiful interior (who isn't?!). It is quite hidden where you likely would not pass by unless you're there to visit the cafe. I visited Cafe X Bica on a Tues afternoon. Upon entering I was greeted by multiple staff. You can either get the coffee to go or dine in. However, you cannot get your coffee to-go and sit at a table it seems. I opted to dine in and staff led me to an empty table. The space is small and cozy yet chic and intimate. The cafe was already half full and seemed to be quite popular as several other parties arrived after me. If you dine in you are served by staff where they take your coffee/food order. I opted to order a pour over which was quite pricey (~$7.50). Chose the Ethiopia beans (I found that it was quite nice that they had a variety of beans to choose, however, most of them being more nutty and chocolately rather than fruity and floral (which is my preference)). Food wise they only had the nutella croissant and some croque madame halves available. I just opted to get the coffee. The pour over came in a unique looking vessel and drinking glass. It took longer than expected but it was made well. There are lots of staff looking after tables and you'll be served quite quickly and attended to. Overall, Cafe X Bica has a beautiful interior with those Yorkville vibes. Coffee is good but a bit pricey. Won't be my first place to grab coffee but would be nice for a date or to catch up with friends.

Great place for a coffee chat in a nice quiet Toronto neighbourhood just off Yorkville. I really enjoyed the ambience and stoneware cups. Definitely an elevated cafe experience.

Went there last fall with my boyfriend. The atmosphere is really stylish but laid-back and relaxing at the same time. All of the food and drinks were delicious, from the lattes and teas to the croissants. However, my absolute favorite was definitely the apple tart with pistachio ice cream. Will definitely be back soon!

First of all service was amazing. They were all very friendly at my visit. You can expect almost everyone in the cafe is taking pictures, and they welcome you to do so. Madeleine was delicious, perfect snack for coffee. Nutella croissant was very flaky and appealing. However the coffee was rather disappointing. The latte was a bit too hot to drink. Overheating milk makes it difficult to create latte art. I guess that's why mine wasn't as appealing as others.

understand maybe it's EARLY / NEW for the business but i'd highly suggest; go see a ROOSTER coffee shop even if they are busy, they get orders in, they take your money... this place left US feeling INVISIBLE no communication, just waiting and waiting.... not paying $$$ to be ignored; line just grew and grew and the service BLOWS 3 stars for the nice interior, which i'll never see or drink coffee in or be able to recommend...

My wife wanted to go there so we went on 2023-01-31 mid-morning when there would more selection…read more They definitely have quite a selection of pastries and savoury food. My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. They make all their food in-house in the basement. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. There is free WiFi. The neo-bisto is not wheelchair accessible since there are stairs leading up to the entrance. There are two gender-neutral washrooms. There is free street parking on their one-way south-bound street. Review 2023-017

Amazing place! I…read morecalled ahead to find out if they had this plum tart I purchased the first time I was there. Yet no one answered the phone. No problem. Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
