3.5 - The two times I have been here had super long lines. What I noticed was that all the staff was wearing the same color and then the next time they all wore another color? I was confused but impressed haha. The ordering is on the left side of the store and then the waiting is anywhere else. Compared to other locations of % Arabica, this location appears to be a bit more crowded with the lineup almost always extending out the door and needing to wait ~ 20+ for your order. People seem to not mind the wait and for the most part are okay to wait. The staff are knowledgeable and polite. The mirror behind the counter definitely makes the space look bigger. Most recently I noticed someone walking out with a matcha soft serve and added this to my order... this might be the trick to making the wait for your drink more bearable. This place gets really busy and I've always had to wait minimum ten minutes every time I come. Have tried it a bunch of times in several locations but this one is the busiest so far. I love their aesthetics and how they designed the coffee shop. it only occupies a corner of the mall. First location in Canada so I had to try it when I visited Toronto/Yorkdale area! Super long line-up for pretty expensive coffee though. We lined up probably around 10-15 mins to place our order and then had to wait another 20-30 mins for our drinks to be made. The store looks bigger than it is because of all the mirrors, but it's actually quite small with just a few 2-person tables. Decided to get the iced Kyoto latte (since I think the company is from there?). Coffee itself was actually quite bitter and on the acidic side, but was slightly balance out by the sweet milk. Size of the drink was small compared to the price we paid. Didn't get to try out any of their pastries nor buy their merch, but I'm not sure if I would revisit again when I'm on the east coast. Finally got the opportunity to try this place. Line-up was only to the door so wait wasn't so bad. We ordered the dark latte (iced) and the cafe latte (iced), which is considered their best seller. The verdict? It was okay. The drinks were $6.75 and $6.50 each for a regular size ie. small. The cafe latte tasted more like milk with a little coffee flavouring. This hugely popular cafe chain finally opened its first Canadian location at Yorkdale mall. When it first opened the lines were super long (up to 2 hours) but now it seems to be more manageable at around 20mins. I like the ambiance of the space, really bright and modern, but there are virtually no seating areas inside, so you just have to drink the coffee while walking around the mall. I really like the Dark Latte -- very rich with a bold espresso taste and dark chocolate. The Sparkling Lemonade is quite good too, feels like it has a hint of ginger flavour. Great quality | Pricy | Minimal Seating I visited Arabica's Yorkdale location when they first opened. I was lucky enough to visit on a weekday so there was barely any line. I ordered the Spanish latte and the Kyoto latte. Simply, they were both fantastic. I'm a tall coffee girl so I need a minimum of 350-450 mls of coffee at a time. I'd say these were barely 300 mls but SO GOOD. What sets Arabica apart from other coffee chains is the quality. The brew on the beans wasn't acidic, it was bold and stood well against the condensed milk they use. In our opinion, neither of our drinks needed sweetener. It's super cool that you can see the coffee being brewed right behind the baristas. All of the workers in there is very kind and offered recommendations. There is minimal seating for guest waiting for their orders. I wish the location was bigger because it would definitely warrant a crowd! Highly recommend read more

We were first introduced to this coffee chain in Japan and hubby loved it! He was so excited to see this chain come to North American! We made a stop here as he was excited to have coffee from Arabica again! When we got there we saw that there was a line and was informed that it would be a 35 min wait from there. The drinks are all good but I think having the Spanish latte hot is the best way to go. I feel like the flavour is stronger and more creamy.
