There were no conflicts or issues, which made the experience comfortable for us. Areas for Improvement: * The timeline was a pain point. While we were originally told the project would take 6-8 weeks, it ended up stretching to 12 weeks. * The design process fell short of expectations. Because Prime's in-house designers weren't available, our design work was outsourced. We only received a full design package for the master bathroom. As a result, we ended up creating our own renderings for the other rooms to help communicate our vision to the team. That said, we were very happy with the design and material selections for the master bathroom they did complete. We just wish the same level of attention and design support had been provided for the rest of the project. * At times, resource availability was limited, likely due to workers being assigned to multiple jobs. This led to workflow inefficiencies and delays. Toward the end of our renovation, our foreman Bryan had to personally step in to complete several tasks, such as installing faucets, shelving, and baseboards. He managed to get it done in between site visits and meetings, which we appreciated, but it also highlighted a lack of available crew to close out the project. Despite these few challenges, the quality of the work met our expectations. We appreciated the team's effort and the final outcome.

Tony, the foreman, and his team were extremely detail-oriented and did exceptional work. The craftsmanship really shows in the finished bathroom. Everything looks carefully installed and precise, and the tile work in particular is incredibly clean. Construction & More... A Remodel Nightmare Our kitchen and…read morebathroom remodel with Construction & More (C&M) was an extremely frustrating experience. We chose C&M because their proposal fit our budget, they committed to a 1-2 month completion timeline in the contract, and their Google reviews gave us confidence in moving forward. Unfortunately, our experience was very different. The project began on April 28, 2026, with an expected completion by the end of June. Our kitchen and bathrooms were not completed until August 15. Here are some of the major issues we encountered: Incorrect permit C&M pulled a permit for what was described as a "like-for-like" remodel, even though the project involved moving closet walls, relocating plumbing fixtures, and adding a new electrical subpanel. We were subsequently required to address the permitting issue, resulting in approximately $1,200 in permit costs and several weeks of delay. Multiple failed plumbing inspections The bathroom plumbing failed two rough inspections due to the same issue: improper horizontal venting. By late July, we were extremely concerned about getting the plumbing corrected. We consulted three independent plumbers, and all three recommended removing the existing installation and starting over. When I raised these concerns with Joseph, the project manager, and explained that correcting the plumbing was estimated to cost approximately $10,000, his response was essentially that I should hire someone else if I didn't trust him. C&M ultimately brought in their plumbing company, which removed all of the existing plumbing and installed it again correctly. We finally passed the plumbing inspection on July 30. Kitchen did not match the agreed-upon design One of our specific design requirements was for the kitchen cabinets to extend to the ceiling. They did not. This was a major disappointment because it was clearly discussed as a "must-have" element of the design. Poor project management and communication The final month was particularly difficult. When we asked for realistic completion dates, Joseph frequently became defensive and frustrated, and we were repeatedly told that various items would be completed "by Friday." Those dates repeatedly came and went. The biggest issue was the lack of clear project management and accountability. We often felt that commitments were being made without a realistic understanding of what remained to be completed. My husband, who is very handy, ultimately spent approximately 10 days working at the house himself to help get it ready for our family members' July 30 move-in. He also needed to be on-site to monitor the work and make sure issues were addressed correctly. I want to be clear that I do not blame the individual crew members, who worked hard and were generally doing their best under difficult circumstances. My concerns are primarily with project management. In particular, I found Joseph to be disengaged and dismissive throughout much of the project. He was not present for any of the inspections and often relied on an assistant to photograph the progress rather than coming to the job site himself to assess the work. After months of delays, rework, failed inspections, and frustration, we finally passed our final inspection on August 26 and can put this experience behind us. To be fair, there were times when C&M worked hard to get the project completed, and we are ultimately pleased with the finished kitchen and bathrooms. However, the process was far more difficult and time-consuming than it should have been. This was our fourth major remodeling project, and by far our most difficult experience. I am sharing our experience because I believe prospective customers deserve to know what happened--not simply how the finished project looks, but what it took to get there. If you are considering Construction & More, I strongly recommend asking detailed questions about permitting, who will perform the plumbing and electrical work, inspection procedures, project management, and how delays and missed completion dates are handled before signing a contract.

We knew this was going to be a monumental project, and it certainly was, as it took over 3+ years due to various city and HOA approval delays. Every construction project had its fair share of challenges, delays, and last-minute changes, but we are so pleased with the final outcome and thankful that GV was our partner through it. A few key highlights from our build: ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN: We unexpectedly ran into numerous challenges and roadblocks during our approval process, but it was the fantastic architectural design that saved us and managed to meet or exceed all of the city requirements. OPEN COMMUNICATION: GV set up a group WhatsApp chat for us that included the owners and every key staff member working on our project. We could utilize it 24/7 for questions, comments and decisions. COORDINATION & SOURCING: We wanted a builder that could handle primary management with all our vendors when it came to delivery timing and especially if there were product issues. GV took the lead in coordinating closely with external suppliers (whether they were recommended by GV or not) to receive, store and install all of the fixtures and finishes. GV never pressured us to use their recommended vendors, although in a few instance, their close relationships helped with not only pricing, but quick follow-ups with any product related issues or replacements. PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT & ONSITE MEETINGS: Huge shout-out to Barry Hahn (our production manager and lead) and the onsite crew (led by Freddie and Fernando) who MET WITH US WEEKLY onsite to provide updates. We always knew what they were working on and if they needed a decision from us, we could come see it for ourselves. We didn't always know the best decision immediately, but the team was patient, explaining and showing us all the options and the factors we should consider. WORKMANSHIP: GV takes pride in doing things right and to the highest quality. One example is when we were going through the home after it was painted and highlighting areas for touch up, our production manager came in over the weekend on his own and identifed even MORE areas than we did. In other words, GV doesn't try to take shortcuts or accept "good-enough" work.
