I'm usually a fan of Oakley. On previous visits to Oakley Vault stores, we've made many purchases at great deals. So when we came across this branch at the Ontario Mills Outlet Mall, we stepped inside to see what we could find. The store looked fine inside. Merchandise was well organized and fully stocked. Prices were clearly marked. Found some fair deals. Unfortunately, the customer service was lacking. The employees spent more time talking to each other than helping customers. That was disappointing. Their customer service (if any) is the worst. I walked into the store, there were two associates and no other customers but me. Neither of them even looked at me or asked me if I needed help. Oakley's outlet store inside Ontario Mills, there are some pretty good deals if you get lucky with your timing, as the good items go quick. The sales staffers are pretty awesome too... I was trying to decide between two pairs of sunglasses, the difference being frame color vs. lens color. So they just popped out the lenses I wanted and put them in the frame I wanted. All for a pair of glasses that were $40 (orig. $120). That's awesome. Oh, and they do sell merch from their current lineup as well. Closest entrance is where AMC and the Nike store are, on the north side of the mall. read more

I was in a need of a new pair of glasses because I stupidly lost my prior glasses about a week before. The staff here are awesome. I believe it was Angeline that helped me and she was practically running back and forth between the store and the back bringing out different styles. I was a bit bummed that Oakley discontinued the Sliver sunglasses that folded up as I loved how easy they were to transport but that isn't the stores fault. I ended up picking up a pair of Sliver Stealth glasses which I love as they wrap around to block out the sun from all sides. I was also able to pick up a pair of Holston Midnight's (as a backup pair) that were 1/2 price. So two really nice pairs of glasses for about $250 when they retail for over $300. I've bought glasses here the last two times and will continue to come here in the future. read more

My favorite athletic pants are from Oakley. They are more expensive but worth it, because I can't find anything that isn't see through. That being said I bought 2 pairs. I like this store, I usually stop by every time I visit the mills. The staff is friendly and helpful but sometimes they try a little too hard to be helpful. I do understand helping customers is one thing but hovering over me while I'm simply trying to check things out kinda weirds me out. I'm not a rude person, that's why I feel obligated to face them when they're literally 2 inches away from me, like "can I help you with something???....". Somehow they continue talking about their products and I make eye contact bc I don't want to make them feel like I'm not listening because I do listen; I just wish I wasn't listening. Some customers (like myself) just simply want to look at products in peace and compare items and what not without having someone constantly over me. It's worst when I'm with my gf and they're over us and we both can't really "talk" to each other because there's that worker that's right behind us. Good customer service I guess but they need to learn how to respect the customers personal space as well. read more

Needed new glasses, found the pair that I liked, was already at the counter and ready to pay but was told by a sales lady that I can get another pair for half off. So I had to go back and look for another pair and finally found one but there was already in line, so I was told by a sales lady to fall in line, which I did. 10-15 minutes in line, a guy just cuts in front of me. I got upset and left the store, not to get into trouble, only to come back. I asked the staff why they tolerate people to just cut in line, only to find out that it was because, Jeffrey the manager was helping this guy. I asked why he allows that, he just rolled his eyes and asked me, what do you want me to do? He became very rude and disrespectful. I asked his last name and was told "none of my business". I ended up leaving the store the second time and won't be back there anymore. I don't ask for Royal treatment, just a little respect. read more

Ok, two-part review here. You'll understand the rating by the end. I went in with an old pair of Oakley's and was trying to find out what lens type they were. The two female employees (I apologize for the poor description, but I didn't get names) were worthless. They were so unhelpful, I actually thought they were brand new, or didn't like to help customers. I approached them and described my issue/question, and was treated like their pay was based on how well they disregarded me. The male employee (manager?) came out a few minutes later while I was still looking, asked me if I needed help, listened to me, and ANSWERED my questions. ALL of them. Then I thought of more, and her answered ALL of those too, AND he knew what he was talking about (he didn't have to BS anything like MOST customer service employees nowadays). He offered to show me sunglasses that weren't on the floor. Then he offered to find what I wanted even if it was at ANOTHER (2nd) location. Then he found it, and offered to transfer it to ANOTHER (3rd) location where I could get it later that was more convenient. Then he called both the origination AND destination store to make them aware of the transfer. Then he gave ME both phone numbers so I could track/pursue/whatever the order on my own! I had not purchased a single thing, flashed money/wallet/anything, and he treated me like the most valued customer in the store. So, in the end, EXTREMELY satisfied. Sadly, I had to waste time/effort on the two jokers in the beginning. read more

I am so happy that I made the trek to come out to this store. They have a vast array of sunglasses to choose from and the wide selection made it difficult to pick the perfect pair. First I love Oakley and like the other reviews you will find very nice sun glasses, hats, back packs, etc everything in the store is nice except the rude employees at this Oakley Vault - Ontario Mills. I was yesterday at Ontario Mills outlet and went straight to this store because I need to buy a back pack that I found in the Oakley Vault web side. Find it in the store and of course I proceeded to asked one of the employees if they match prices with the ones on the Oakley Vault web side ( because it was exactly the same back pack I see on the web side) getting as response they don't match web side prices no matter if it is the same OAKLEY VAULT and that why I don't buy it better from the web side if I found it cheaper that in the store .....SERIOUSLY..... I almost blow a gasket and my respond was because I need it now and no in 5 days, he turn his back on me and walk away. On top of this my wife find a jacket which was in one of the discount racks with no price in the tag so she approached to another male Oakley Vault employee and ask him what was the price for the jacket receiving as an answer she can go back to the rack where she found it and look for another one that have the tag with the price .......OMG..... SERIUSLY.....yesterday I regret going to this Ontario Mills Oakley Vault and will never return especially to this store. Better Drive the extra miles and go to the next one close to me which is the one in Camarillo outlets they always received you with a smile and they do sometimes match web side prices or a least they give you other options. read more

This place was so crowded. I ended up getting a purple zip up hoodie for $20 with a cool Oakley logo on the front. The people who worked there were running around the store trying to help everyone out and they all seemed very nice. I asked them how much it would cost for another cleaning cloth since my cleaning cloth for my flax jacket was getting gross and he explained how I could just wash it in warm water and air dry it and it would be fine. He also gave me another cleaning cloth for free which was nice. If I am in the area I would definitely want to go here again, unfortunately when I went they didnt have any asian fit sunglasses in the store for me to try on. =( read more

Buying sunglasses online is difficult since you can't try them on. I've always wanted a pair of Oakley's. I've heard amazing things about the brand and quality so I decided to drive to this location since they are an outlet hoping to try some on and save a few bucks. Luckily they had a good sale and a lot to choose from. Upon arrival, I was greeted with friendly smiles. Everyone that worked here was so helpful, often checking up on me and asking if I need help. The person that helped me was Javi (hope I spelled that right). He was upbeat with a winning attitude and boy was he knowledgeable. I really enjoyed talking to him. I thought I'd take the time to write on here to give kudos to this store. In this day in age where online shopping is taking over, I personally still like human interaction and the ability to touch and feel, try on products before buying. Stopped by a couple of weeks ago cuz my wife needed some crap. So of course I needed my fix of oakleys. Despite random kids who's parents let them do whatever the hell they want the store was in good shape. With all the employees running around going crazy they still made time to say hi and asked if I needed help. I shooed him away cuz I like browsing alone but he was persistent, which paid off cuz I spent a lot more then I thought I was going to spend. Anyways I ended up getting some radars and new pair of tailhooks at a very good price. As I was checking out we were sharing Oakley stories and he mentioned they had a rare pair. He pulled them out and to my shock they were a pair of pitbosses 2 which are hard to find now. I jumped on that and overshot my budget by 400 but that's not important. Anyways the employees were great I wish I remembered the guys name but oh well maybe I'll see him again. The reason I knocked it a star is cuz of all the "ghetto kids" and their parents "fingering" and dropping all the glasses on the floor and scratching them. That store is way too nice to be located at that mall and it cheapens the brand in my opinion. read more

Went in after losing my M Frames of 13 years. Broken heart but I stopped into the Vault just to look around. Saw some cool stuff! But not exactly what I was looking for so the sales dude mentioned a custom build. Javi, Javier if I recall correctly took some time to explain options and went above and beyond the call of duty to show me some cool things. We actually picked out the components together ending up in a cool build for my new sunglasses. He even did some calling around for other options. It's great when you meet a person who goes out of their way to make you happy with their product and your latest purchase. thanks Javier for taking the time to make your customers happy! Excellent purchase. Really impressed me was that he was not out to make a sale for every last buck he could squeeze out of me and the wife.
