I can't remember the exact name but it had sprouts and avocado in addition to the BLT part. I put some fry sauce on it and it was delish! The sweet potato fries were great too. My husband said they were better than the regular ones he ordered. He got a burger and he said it was average (not bad, not mind blowing). My 3 year old enjoyed a plate of 3 small pancakes and bacon. He said it was "really good"! We visit Kamas a lot for our camping adventures, and we will definitely be back! It was slightly more pricey than average; we paid $55 for two entrees, a kids meal, and an iced tea (with a tip). Not crazy expensive but a little more than comparable diners (e.g. Blackbear Diner).

I attributed that to the 4 eggs fitting into a 2 egg form factor, but I really don't know that for sure. The avocado was a good complement to the omelet and worked out very well. The pancake was delicious. There was syrup on the table and butter came on the plate. I gobbled it right down and thought that I maybe should have got another one. I have eaten here before when I was in the area, and will likely return again when up here. The busy nature of the restaurant is offset by the good quality food.

They offered a curbside service in 2020 that was very popular but have discontinued that venture but reopened the beautiful upstairs dining room and bar, with a magnificent view of the Kamas Valley. As they start to emerge from the COVID crisis, the menu is still somewhat basic, and they do not appear to have a full-time chef or even much kitchen staff. I've only eaten lunch there, so it may be different in the evening. If you calibrate your expectations towards a beautiful place to sit and talk and eat bar food style fare, then you'll get that for which you went. I'd go more for the atmosphere than the food right now. They seem to be focused on catering events, for which they are wonderfully suited. They also appear to be just nursing the restaurant along, using the super friendly and engaged service staff for the double duty of cooking and serving and playing it safe until the economy supports more investment in their restaurant. We still go there when we're in the mood for what they offer. I hope to upgrade my rating as they restore their business back to its former state, which I fully expect. They seem to be good business people balancing keeping the doors open and not losing money so they have a healthy business to bring the full staff back to once sanity is restored.

During the good weather months they have outdoor seating too, which helps to accommodate more parties. But this is not the place to bring large groups. Of course you come for the biscuits. They offer "first come, first serve" cinnamon roll biscuits but as we were in the late brunch crowd, they were sold out. So we settled on The Messy to split but my son didn't like the granola on top BUT that also didn't stop him from shoving a 1/4 biscuit in his mouth at a time. The rest was good too - eggs and bacon plate (served with a small biscuit), and croquettes madame (on top of a large, flat biscuit).

An issue I have with some of the other locally owned cafe around is their menus are too large and varied with items to stay away from. With Sills however, their menu is much smaller, more focused and everything is good. They are most known for their breakfasts with the highlights being their pancakes and scones which are definitely worth the hype. My take on their scones might be a controversial. Sills scones are good but the best scones around are found at Beezs Cafe in Roy. Sills Cafe is definitely worth a visit. You wont be disappointed with anything you get.

By the time we realized just how uncomfortable it was, there was no one around to ask about moving. Then there were the flies--constantly landing on our food and drinks, which made the experience even less enjoyable. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and Ruth's Breakfast with pancakes. The Eggs Benedict was a major disappointment, especially given how much people rave about it. The hollandaise had virtually no flavor. A good hollandaise should have a bright, zesty, buttery flavor, but this was completely bland. The English muffin was doughy, and the bacon was overly thick and extremely salty. It was also served in an awkward little boat-shaped dish that made it difficult to cut and eat. I also have no idea what they do to their hash browns. They weren't crisp, had a strange orange color, and tasted almost like Rice-A-Roni. Maybe there's some kind of seasoning added, but whatever it is, it didn't work for us. Ruth's Breakfast wasn't much better. The hash browns had the same issues, and one of the pancakes was completely raw in the middle. To make matters worse, our syrup was forgotten, and we waited a very long time before anyone came back around to check on us. I could potentially overlook mediocre food if the price reflected it, but at around $19 a plate, I find the quality hard to justify. The interior looks charming in photos, but in person it felt more rundown than quaint. The service wasn't terrible, but it also didn't stand out in any positive way. I genuinely wanted to love this place. Given the beautiful location and unique setting, I thought it would be a great spot to take out-of-town guests. Unfortunately, after this experience, I wouldn't recommend it. The setting is worth seeing, but I wouldn't subject anyone to this meal.
