Oakley Diner

The vibe of this diner is super super cute! I struggled with the star rating on this one. I bounced between a 3 and 4 star on this one but landed on a 3. We were seated quickly but ended up sitting nearly 10 minutes waiting for a waitress which was a bit off putting. It wasn't overly packed so not sure what was up with that. Another bummer was the mini juke box on the tables were broken. Would be really fun if they worked! Hopefully they look into getting those working. The food thankfully came out quickly once we ordered and it was overall pretty good. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and the gravy was pretty yummy and the biscuits had a nice texture. The waitress was really nice and recommended the strawberry shortcake. It was just ok, the cake was a tad dense. Not her fault. Overall the vibe is really cute but could use some improvements.

If you do anything TRY THE PIE!! They have Apple caramel, blueberry and cherry pie as staples but rotate a pie of the day. I thought I'd be getting a slice of pie but I was pleasantly surprised when they brought out a mini pie!!! They're big enough to share but you won't want to. We couldn't help but try a couple of their other desserts like the chocolate milkshake and ice cream swirl cone. The chocolate milkshake was the perfect level of thick and it was served in an old school glass which made whole thing feel so nostalgic. If we had room for anything else we would've tried the cake of the day. For lunch we had focaccia for an appetizer then the meatloaf sandwich, Belgium waffle, off their all day breakfast menu and the kids chicken tenders. Everything came with its own side. We also got an apple pie, chocolate milkshake and ice cream swirl cone plus some drinks. Everything came out to $90~ and which I thought was a really great price considering how much food we got. You'll love the old school diner interior like the checkerboard floor and retro red booths. They have a dog friendly patio that is well shaded and stocked with water and waste bags. The waitress brought our fresh ice water for my dog as soon as we sat down. The entire staff was super friendly and attentive. Our waitress checked on us often making sure we had everything we needed. Other staff members came out to check on us too which was much appreciated.

Reuben sandwich, per the wife (boss) it's the best she has ever had!

The food, service were great the old time feel of the dinner was outstanding. We are new to Utah (2+years) and always looking around for places to check out and we stumbled upon this dinner! So glad we did, hands down very good food and service. We will be definitely returning soon.

Classic small-town diner vibes at Oakley Diner Cozy booths, huge portions, and comfort food that tastes like home. From towering panc

Oakley Diner is the definition of a small-town gem, and honestly, I can't believe more people don't stop here on their way to Park City or Mirror Lake. From the second you walk in, you feel like you've stepped back in time--in the best way possible. The booths are cozy and retro, the servers are warm and friendly, and the vibe is pure Americana. Now let's talk food. The pancakes? Huge, fluffy, and perfectly golden. The kind you can share... but won't want to. The burgers are juicy and stacked high, the fries are crisp and salty perfection, and the milkshakes? Hands down some of the best I've ever had. Rich, creamy, and so satisfying, they make you forget every chain restaurant shake you've ever tried. What makes Oakley Diner even better is the setting. You get a beautiful mountain drive, then land at a diner that's been serving locals and travelers since the 1940s. It's the perfect pit stop for brunch after an adventure, or just an excuse to hang out with friends over classic comfort food. Check out our Tiktok Video @reessroots If you want authentic Utah flavor and small-town charm, Oakley Diner is a must. Five stars without question.

I can't believe I have never stopped to eat at the Oakley diner. I love small town burger places. Came up here for July 4. I was not going to the rodeo but stopped here to get something to eat. It was busy, but the line moved quickly, and the food came out relatively fast. You can either order outside or dine inside, which is great. It was a nice night so decided to sit outside on the patio. I got the bacon cheeseburger and fries which were both absolutely delicious and hot. They have a nice large outdoor patio area, a large grass area, and lots of parking. The staff were friendly the food came out hot and fresh. I will definitely come back next time I am in Oakley.

Great food! Great service! Super clean! Expensive prices! I recommend the Oakley Burger with sweet potato fries.

S'mores milkshake half a serving

The Oakley diner was a lot of fun. The atmosphere is of an 60s style diner. The atmosphere is the coolest part of the experience. I got the all-American burger, which was delicious, it reminded me of an In-N-Out double double. Someone else in our group got the Belgian waffle which looked like they didn't put enough batter in it. It felt like we ordered the food and it arrived within five minutes for a group of five. I was surprised how fast they got everything out. One thing that was really cool that I loved is you can have them split your milkshake in half to share with someone else. Even in half the serving size is big.

Eric and his staff are great. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They handle our large group very well, and the food is always top notch. Highly recommend this place.

Service here was amazing! I love the vibe of an old diner restaurant. This location would be even better if they served breakfast all day. Though, they do have a limited breakfast menu that is available throughout all meal times. I ordered biscuits and gravy, which were delicious. The Oakley Burger also looked good. The s'mores shake would have been better with chocolate ice cream.

The inside of my all American- good burger, but where's my added mushrooms and caramelized onions? One piece of cheese.

As residents of a cabin up the canyon, we have been anxiously waiting for this diner to open. We were bummed out about Road Island diner closing. We actually went in with low expectations so we weren't disappointed. I will say that it's diner food, but a little more pricey than normal. We came at 2:30 in hopes to beat the crowds, we sat within 5 minutes, staff is friendly. We sat in the back which has a slight "cold" feeling. Food arrived quickly. We decided on the Messy burger, BLT, Fish n chips, and the all American burger. Messy burger - the burgers are on the smaller side, which is why a double patty is a must. The mushroom gravy was actually delicious, and the bun held up nicely. Great little burger. 4/5 The pork belly blt- the pork belly was sweet, almost candied, a good portion, crispy on the inside, soft middle. Pork belly just doesn't have the flavor of bacon. After eating this I would prefer some thick crispy bacon instead. The sandwich was dry. It needs some more spread, possible garlic aioli? 3/5 Fish n chips - were decent. My kids liked them, but maybe a little too crispy, and not enough fish, to much batter to fish ratio. 3.5/5 The sweet potato fries were everyone's favorite! Get them! All American burger - added caramelized onion and mushrooms. They don't ask you how you want your burger cooked. They smash the meat on a flat top, leaving you a crispy salty crust. It's a good thing they are doubles, because the meat is thin. I loved the burger. The only downfall was they gave me very little mushroom and onion, if I'm paying extra, I'd like extra. Also, they left off the lettuce and tomato, which I did not request. 4/5 We want to come back and try the breakfast. One thing I will add, is that I miss how Road Island had pies and treats in the glass case when you walked in, and you were like, I'm definitely saving room for pie!! I want that back!!

Run! Don't walk to this most adorable, step back in time diner!! I loved this!! It has so much history!! It was so clean and authentic. I posted a picture of the history. Very interesting! We had a rain day and could not ski so we hopped in the car for a little drive just to eat here. I saw it advertised in the magazine DishingPC. It was about a 30 minute drive from the base of Cannons. This is located way off the beaten path but worth the drive. This is also super close to Rancho Luna Lobos, dog sledding, but that's a separate review. I had been craving corned beef for breakfast and they had it. We both had the corned beef hash. Omgosh! Loved it!! So so yummy. And a large portion also! They offer 3 different breads. We went with the sour dough that was fresh baked in their bakery around the back of the diner. They also have fresh brewed ice tea. Our waitress Abby was awesome!!! She was very attentive and so sweet. They have the old dashing jukebox on the table. The diner had undergone a major renovation and it is absolutely beautiful. They have a book showing the stages of the train car. Ask to see it if not offered. It was very interesting. I definitely recommend this restaurant!!

Woodland Biscuit Company - Biscuit and gravy - not enough food for your average farmer

We went because of an article in the Park Record back on June 5-7, 2024. We've been meaning to but…read morejust haven't made it until now. The restaurant is further Park City and Kamas than I expected even having checked on the map before driving, just FYI for those thinking this is near PC. BUT as a local Parkite, I did see people I know also dining there for their Sunday Brunch. We had made a reservation, but I guess if you only do it 1 day in advance it's not on the paper they print out, so they weren't prepared for us. And I don't know if they were shorthanded at 4 staff members on the floor (1 was the owner, 2 were waitresses, 1 was a busser), but we waited about 15 minutes to be seated. Despite this, they were all very kind and had good costumer service, just slow. Woodland Biscuit Company is a very small restaurant. During the good weather months they have outdoor seating too, which helps to accommodate more parties. But this is not the place to bring large groups. Of course you come for the biscuits. They offer "first come, first serve" cinnamon roll biscuits but as we were in the late brunch crowd, they were sold out. So we settled on The Messy to split but my son didn't like the granola on top BUT that also didn't stop him from shoving a 1/4 biscuit in his mouth at a time. The rest was good too - eggs and bacon plate (served with a small biscuit), and croquettes madame (on top of a large, flat biscuit).

A long time coming to try Woodland Biscuit. I wish our experience had been better, but now we know…read morethis place is a one and done. Plan on waiting, waiting for them to clean a table, waiting for water (which was Luke warm and disgusting really), waiting for them to take your order, and then waiting for the food. 30 minutes before our order was taken. Once the food came out, two entrees show up, missing two others, then one more came out, still missing mine! I was the last to get my dish. Ugh. We ordered mini biscuits (biscuit cinnamon rolls sold out-bummer), and the beets with yogurt sauce and mini biscuits. The beet dish was not as described on the menu! It was a tostada scrambled egg beet thing, and was just okay. The mini biscuits are delicious, light fluffy, and the jam is divine. The dishes we ordered: Breakfast plate with eggs, bacon and potatoes. They are very skimpy on the potatoes, enough for a toddler, but definitely not an adult. Croque Madam, this was very good. The sauce was excellent, and the biscuit is perfect, but again, very small portion. Biscuit and gravy- amazing sauce, delicious, but any farmer would leave hungry. I got the smoked salmon omelette, small portion, very little salmon, tiny scoop of potatoes. Good flavor, but for the price and the amount of food you get, I'm not sure we will ever come back. I definitely don't recommend going out of your way to come here, because you may be very disappointed like we were. If the wait was quicker, portions were bigger or it was priced better, we would consider coming back. I'm sure they don't need more business so they probably don't mind a less than ideal review.

We were seated at a table in far end of the room. Once seated it's hard to get in and out from the wall seat because the table are pretty close together. I ordered the Spinach, Mushroom and Swiss 4 Egg Omelet. They asked me if I wanted 2 or 4 eggs and I chose 4. As a substitute for the potatoes, I opted to choose the avocado which came as a slice 1/2 of avocado. For my toast option, I chose the single pancake, but could also have chosen a scone. The scone wasn't on the menu as a option, so I missed this when I ordered. My omelet was very flavorful, although a bit dense. I attributed that to the 4 eggs fitting into a 2 egg form factor, but I really don't know that for sure. The avocado was a good complement to the omelet and worked out very well. The pancake was delicious. There was syrup on the table and butter came on the plate. I gobbled it right down and thought that I maybe should have got another one. I have eaten here before when I was in the area, and will likely return again when up here. The busy nature of the restaurant is offset by the good quality food.
